  1. I mention that in every postcruise survey. But the minestrone is very good.
  2. Bread yes. They replaced the rest with an arancini.
  3. I decided to book on the Sun. I won't know if I like it until I try it. We're going to do the 9 day Barcelona to Southampton 9/2024. We booked a Reserve Collection Cabana with the Premier package and the price was ok. Instead of doing the TA home, we decided to spend a week in London. Looking forward to seeing the changes on this ship.
  4. They are both excellent. Sabatini's has a new menu and it's so good. The filet in the Crown Grill is the best. It's harder to get into the Crown Grill. Sabatini's will put you into a food coma. I usually do both on a longer cruise but you can't go wrong on either. If I could only pick one...Sabatini's.
  5. I was on this cruise last week. The group was unnoticable except at dining. They closed the Symphony and Allegro Dining rooms until 7:45 which made trying to dine earlier in the Concerto a nightmare. People were really really unhappy. I complained on board (no response) and also in my survey. The group was 900 people. After 2 nights of long lines and extremely slow service, we ended up going to the Symphony dining room around 8. The waiters were better and the dining room was quiet. If you wanted to go to a show, you were out of luck unless you had a 5:00 reservation in Concerto and got in line by 4:30. And that's if you were lucky.
  6. There was a post on a different site today regarding this posted by Cruise Vacation Planners aka PVP's. Looks interesting.
  7. Did you go to their website? Email them and ask if they can sell them direct.
  8. Can't you just check in on your phone and get a printed boarding pass when you check your luggage? As to Princess doing that for you, I have no idea.
  9. I'm sailing out of Chile in March. On our Roll Call, it has been stated that self administered is fine. The woman who said that she called Princess twice and got the same answer. Since I have an emed left over from the fall when they changed the guidelines, I'm going to do that just to be safe.
  10. I've done 6 cruises since the pause. On only 1 was the food below standards but that was on the Discovery and they now have a new head chef. Yes, a bit shorthanded but it wasn't terrible, though lunch takes much longer in the MDR. The stewards are still great, the bartenders are awesome, the sun still shines. 5 more booked for this year and I look forward to them all.
  11. I have twice won my bid to go from a balcony to a premium deluxe. I bid the minimum both times. I like having a place to sit beside the bed or the desk. And the bigger balcony.
  12. They don't and it's a bummer as we have a suite on the Sapphire in March/April.
  13. I believe in Hawaii last month, the tenders were shut down from 1-5 am. I think.
  14. I totally agree. The best fish that I have ever had was in a shack on the beach in Boca De Tomatlan (south of PV). It was about $3.00
  15. I'm on her a week from Saturday. So happy they haven't changed the menu yet. On the Regal later in the month and they have so I better load up on Onion Soup and Fettucine!
  16. Depending on where you are sailing, I prefer the new Royal Class over the older ones. Mainly because if it's warm, I want more than one pool. (2 if you count the Retreat). There are some Premium Deluxe Balconies on Dolphin that have bigger balconies, but I prefer a front facing Mini. They say that they are not usable at sea but I rarely find that to be the case.
  17. I've been on front facing cabins a couple of times and only rarely were we unable to use the balcony.
  18. I'm sailing on the Discovery in 11 days and the Regal in 28. I'm so disappointed in the new menus, losing the items that are available every night. There is something that looks good everynight but I hate losing choices. I'm sure I'll still gain a couple pounds. Are the burgers and hot dogs still good up on Lido? Going back to the original post. The chicken soup is terrible. Mine had a small handful of ramen noodles and a few carrots. Never again. But I do like the chicken salad and chicken club.
  19. I love the front facing cabins. There have been very few days that we haven't been able to use the balcony. Even in the middle of the ocean on a cool day sailing to Hawaii. Sitting behind the balcony wall gives good wind protection. I have booked one for Alaska next year since I think being forward facing when scenic cruising the glaciers will be glorious. That being said, I also love the Vista Suites.
  20. Yes. I've done 2 fully comped casino cruises since October and have one in 2 weeks. I upgraded all of them.
