The discovery did this cruise last spring. The formal nights were the first sea day and the 2nd to last day. I don't know what night Lobster issince we avoid formal night at all costs. I hate tendering. Getting off in Cabo wasn't terrible. Getting back takes forever. 2 hours might be pushing it.

You'll have a ticket in your room regarding the soda package. You have to call room service to get it and at that time you tell them what you want. I also think the water is a great deal. I get it every cruise.

Had M106 in April and loved it. Rebooked the same cabin for Hawaii in November. Then Booked L105 for Alaska next year. I think for Alaska it will be spectacular.

Since we're flying in the morning of, we're doing a Princess transfer from LGA. We're doing Uber on the way back to the airport since we're not in much of a hurry. I thought of doing the Princess excursion but I'll be with my son who does not do 6:30 am excursions. 🙂

It'll be hard to be fully staffed if more of the crew gets covid.

They really didn't pay any attention to your boarding group unless you are Elite, Platinum or in a suite where you have a separate waiting area after you stand in line with everyone else.

Last February they changed us from the Ruby to the Royal to go to Hawaii this November. The app still shows the Ruby. Myself and others on our Roll Call have called numerous times and get the run around each time. You'll need to go to the Princess Website and do the web based version of the app to make dinner reservations, order your medallions etc. Don't count on your dinner reservations to make the rollover on the app itself. I would say if your sailing isn't until march, don't expect it to be correct until at least January.

3 Main dining rooms. The International Cafe. Anything up on the Lido deck including the buffet are all free. I don' t know about the outlets as every ship is different but they are always limited in supply. You can bring a power strip as long as it does not have a surge protector. I bring a small thing that has 2 regular outlets and 2 USB ports.

We traveled with a group of 14 one time. We had 2 tables next to each other, one 8 one 6. We rotated around every night, it worked out fine.

I found that when I had Covid, I always felt better after getting some fresh air.

I saw them on the Discovery in April. They did a performance in the Vista Lounge doing the songs of Laurel Canyon. It was wonderful. It was also the first time they got to play in a lounge and had a great crowd. Hopefully they will do so again.
