  1. I thought the same. It is one of our favorites. Licking my lips while having my first coffee of the day.
  2. Another who just bing read your post up to now. Thanks to @Host Hattie for posting a link on the Cunard forum. I've never sailed Cunard before and finding the folks there really friendly and have been helpful in answering all of "dumb" questions. Loving all the pictures of the food and menus.
  3. I've been doing a lot of shopping on Asia Air Fare. We are flying to Singapore in a month for an Australia and New Zealand cruise and then flying home to SFO on December 23 (Really High) I was able to Get Business Class on Singapore about a year ago using miles. We will be returning to Sydney in March 2024 for the TA to Vancouver. I bought a RT From Sydney to San Francisco for AU$6,625 (US$4,540 each Round Trip) Thought it was a pretty good Business Class fare especially for the Non-Stop flight so booked it immediately.
  4. You are correct in your speculations. We almost always sail during Thanksgiving as I was a born on Thanksgiving and it usually falls close. My experience has been that they decorate the ship and have many Thanksgiving Items - Turkey, Pumpkin Pie etc at the buffet and carving station. Thanksgiving Dinner is pretty much the standard menu, but they usually have a Turkey dinner as one of the selection. Turkey, Stuffing, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy - BTW in my humble opinion their Pumpkin Pie is among the worst I've ever had and it is my favorite pie. I usually no longer even try it.
  5. Thanks for clarification - Will be interesting to see how it goes. On other cruise lines I've seen them also have a "Preview Sailing for Special Invited Guests" prior to the paid for Maiden or inaugural sailing. Really upset some.
  6. Would suggest you check on your Roll Call as it is generally discussed and debated. You also may wish to view this thread. Where this is posted from the daily.
  7. I may be different than others but generally have no problems. The only time I had a problem was my record was screwed up and they worked on trying to fix for the entire cruise and was never able to see my account. The next cruise (b2b) it again worked perfect.
  8. Great suggestion. I've found IOS17 up to 17.02 to be really buggy. I am still unable to listen to 50% of my Audiobooks. I've had to use a paid app until Apple gets around to fixing it. BTW both Hoopola and other book apps work perfectly.
  9. You forgot one that I always start with in trouble shooting. LOL Is your Computer Plugged In and are you connected to the Internet. Can't tell you how many people have replied.... Ohhhh...
  10. I've had the same experience as you. One thing I've noticed is when using Firestick with NordVPN app it never asks about location.
  11. Really enjoying your Live Post. The photos are really bringing back good memories.
  12. Thanks for sharing. Even though I live in the SF Bay area I always love seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. Looks like you had wonderful weather.
  13. How exciting. I would expect lots of little teething problems (challenges) as both the crew and passengers figure out how things work. While you shouldm't be impacted greatly I would go with a great attitude that you are on an Inaugural sailing and the crew are also learning with you.
  14. I'm able to see all the ships again without having to use Private Browser. I have a feeling it was a matter of them blowing out the system with the "upgrade'. At least they did it mid week. They usually blow it up for the weekend and then go home for the weekend.
  15. You basically get the amenities that come with the room. 2 Bottles of Booze of your choice, unlimited specialty dining, Laundry and dry cleaning etc. 4 internet accounts. You do not get any additional perks like free tips. If you booked with the all included prior to the elimination of gratuities and obc you should already have all the perks.
  16. You are 100% correct according to the Celebrity Fleet Guide- 2,559 is the maximum legal occupancy.
  17. You may be in the best position to see if Specialty is available and the cost. Usually on New Years Eve and Christmas they have a Special Menu / Celebration in Specialties at a much higher cost than usual. They will definitely have celebrations throughout the entire ship and is common for a balloon drop in the Main Foyer at midnight. I'm sure it will be festive regardless of wherever you choose to celebrate.
  18. Those that book excursions with Celebrity will be directed to a meeting place, usually the theater. From there they will call your group by number and will proceed to a tender. My experience is they usually, when possible, have twp tenders locations setup. Regular tendering operate from a different location. Having said that - I was on one Ship's Tour and they decided to put us on a tender from the General Tender Location. To get around the line they gave us an unofficial tour of I-95 and we were boarded ahead of the general tendering passengers.
  19. It is possible to purchase for one 24 hour period and for a 1 hour period but very expensive. Last time I looked 1 continuous hour was 34.00 and one 24 hour continuous period was 67.00 - these are undiscounted and may have changed. If you are Elite or above you will have 1 or more hour of non-continous high speed internet for each cc member with status.
  20. Yea that usually indicates YouTubeTV has blacklisted those servers. I'm usually successful choosing an unpopulated area or one of the servers on NordVPN white list.
  21. Same results here. I was looking on a TA site and suddenly all Celebrity Cruises disappeared. Must be a Celebrity System Problem. I am also in Cruise Planner and that part of their system is working.
  22. I checked in yesterday for our Nov 25 cruise out of Singapore - There was some inconsistencies in that the app showed opening for CheckIn on Nov 10 and Webpage showed Nov 11. Celebrity IT at the best. With the date line I was able to check in on Nov 10 (PDT) 10:AM which would equate to Nov 11 Midinight. I also selected arrival times for our friends who live in Sydney.
  23. I sometimes notice that when reading Google News on the ship it automatically changes to the news from the location of the server. e.g. Amsterdam. Often sites will change to the default language of the location and you have to go in and choose English.
  24. For others if you get a message saying you are using an VPN, very often Google (YouTubeTV owner) blacklists heavily used VPN servers locations I'm not sure if ExpressVPN publishes alternative checked points. On NordVPN you can log into their website and on the chat window type YouTubeTV and it pops up current validated servers that will work. That's the main reason I changed from ExpressVPN to NordVPN. You may also be successful by choosing a different protocol e.g. Obfuscated Servers
  25. Being the Silicon Valley Geek I am - I also have a TP-Link Travel Router and a Range Extender - Both will work but don't have the ability to do VPN from OpenVPN. Main Differences. The router acts as a hub that sets up a local area network and manages all of the devices and communication in it. An access point, on the other hand, is a sub-device within the local area network that provides another location for devices to connect from and enables more devices to be on the network.
