  1. I have done Zoom calls on M S and E class ships with Starlink and had no problems. Some have mentioned having bad experience and I have to admit I was only using it in CS and above suites and most of the time they have a router in the ceiling of the room. Speeds and reliability will be dependent on where the router is located in relation to where you are using the internet. My experience has been that Celebrity has throttled the internet to speeds of approximately 5meg Up and 3 down. I will admit at times there are certain areas where the satellite will be dropped for a couple minutes to a couple hours. If I recall correctly the internet was pretty solid off the coast of Spain.
  2. There is no standard. They say 30 days but I have seen as far out as 75 days and down to about 25 days. Typical of Celebrity - inconsistent.
  3. Yes they reduced both the minimum and Max. Like I said this has only happened twice out of over 20 bids. In the last year I've seen minimums that were obscene.
  4. Also love it. The other one that would have me in hysterics was One Foot in the Grave with Victor Richard Wilson as Victor Meldrew and Annette Crosbie as Margaret Meldrew.
  5. They do have on demand movies. It is kinda quirky when you search and you think you are pay per view but actually there is a pretty good library of free things. When you choose them you go to a screen that shows zero charge. Not sure if they have gotten rid of them since I was last on in April/May.
  6. Not at all I said BBC is wonderful especially if you have a British Husband but on both Sky and BBC there may be some U.S. news but nothing about California and especially Northern California which is were we live. Also like all other National broadcasters there are regional bias e.g. watching the Olympics on either.
  7. In the email the say it will be posted BY November 14 -- which causes ambiguity as to exactly when we should check.
  8. Having lived in Ireland - Double Cream is incredible and not available in the U.S. It is around 48% Butter Fat. An luscious Clotted Cream comes in at a artery clogging 55% I was doing a Software install at a Dairy Company (DairyGold) in Seattle and learned that many states have stringent regulations on the exact butter fat content of 1%, 2%, Skim and Whole Milk. I was surprised to learn that when the raw milk first arrives it is separated into Skim and Cream and then it is remixed and homogenized to the various states specification.
  9. I was just taking a look and it looked like there was a single Veranda cabin available when I looked then looked back and it was gone and showed Sold Out again. This will possibly shift as cabin's being looked at, on hold or cancellation.
  10. The Tuscan Restaurant on the E-Class is the same as the other 3 MDR. Each have a signature Appetizer, Main and Desert representative of the theme, but you can order any of the 4 from any of the MDR's.
  11. Personal opinion Eden is top notch and in my opinion much better than Murano. I've not tired Le Voyage yet as I have not sailed a ship with it aboard. To me Le Petite Chef is one and done and more into entertainment than food quality and prep. Fine cut was OK but due to location the sound pollution from the Atrium Martini Bar and the "Show" is beyond loud and distracts from the potential it could have.
  12. I have seen them reduce the price a couple times. Must agree with other it is unusual. On the particular instance, I had bid on an Upgrade I really wanted near the maximum amount. A couple weeks later I looked and the Maximum price had dropped well below my bid. My bid had not changed so I had to manually modify the bid down. BTW I won the bid
  13. I had the alternative recommendation (requirements) from IT and Legal Council. Due to my role I handled sensitive data and often there was litigation and I was not permitted to delete any email or throw away any paper, scratchpad work product. All the paper would go in a box and when full would go into storage until litigation was finalized. Maybe because of this I never delete e-mails. While I understand others constant cleaning up. I'm surprised how often I access very old emails as the president of our HOA.
  14. Yea.. they originally had a bar in a room behind the hot/cold station and would mix your drinks there. They originally left out wine in a wine / beer refrigerator for self service but understand they had to eliminate because of you Tweens sneaking in and drinking.
  15. I was trying to check and since their last update I can't see a record of my CC that include the power up. I looked up my invite and find the following - Bottom line says will be awarded by November 14, 2023
  16. Ahh....I thought you had applied it. In my case they sent me a certificate via e-mail with two FCC Numbers. I had one for a cancelled cruise and had not received the e-mail I called Zenith Deask and they first asked me to check my junk and spam folders which I did. When I replied there was nothing there they took my details and said would get back to me. Next day they sent me the Certificate Numbers. In my case the refunded the total amount of my cruise back to my credit card and were issuing a FCC for $400 as a concession for cancelling the cruise. You then go to https://www.celebritycruises.com/future-cruise-credit From there you can apply to an existing reservation or book a new cruise.
  17. To my knowledge the only way to find out for sure is to ask either Celebrity or your agent for a copy of your Invoice. I applied one recently and also need to have my agent send a new invoice to confirm. I believe if you booked directly with Celebrity there is a phone number you can call and automatically request a copy but if booked with an agent only the agent can do. @Ken the cruiser posted instructions here
  18. A couple of the ships are printing them but definitely in the minority. Usually you have to dig deep on the TV to see the staff.
  19. Thanks for pointing out. I knew someone would have the answer. Surprising the agent couldn't tell the OP the reason.
  20. Yes... Someone posted it from the Shipyard on Sunday. I posted a credit to the photographer, as I respect individuals copyright post even if not officially copyrighted. The first then they usually do is put the ship on block and then begin the sanding.
  21. Don't think they will need a dry dock for that. Knowing Celebrity they may need it to chisel away the changes and bring back the menus that everyone were complaining about before they gave them menus to really complain about. OK surely I jest..
  22. Joan, you will be our Anchor - broadcasting live from the newly refurbished Edge. Can't wait to hear your reports on what was and wasn't done. I hope some of the ship worker or crew start posting some pictures of the work in progress.
  23. To my knowledge none of the E-Class ships have the Tuscan Grill Specialty Restaurant. One of the 4 MDR is called Tuscan but is just a MDR and not a specialty. On the E-Class they usually have the Elite and above Light Breakfast in the Bistro Restaurant. Same menu as other ships just a different venue.
