I may be different but love contemporary and always look for flats with nice fittings and lots of good ratings. If you recall that one we had in Lymington, UK to quarantine in. Since we have a two week break between the Cunard TA and our Celebrity TA I have a feeling we will try to book it again for a week. We had one in Venice that on the 3rd visit worked out a deal to book it direct without the AirBnB additional fees.

Sorry to hear of your negative experiences. We have rented about 30 times from them and had fantastic experiences. I do a lot of research and try to stick with Super Hosts with lots of reviews. We also don't look in the lowest price ranges. As for Pricing - You are correct - In addition to the price initially shown isn't the final price. Before you commmit it lists all costs and include a AirBnB booking Fee and a cleaning fee. This will also occur with most booking sites for Royal York Hotel. The total price shown in small print include $346 in Taxes and Fees. Example for a hotel I was looking at has approximately $260 in added taxes and fees. For our AirBnB - here's the breakdown of Taxes and Fees

Been really slow in getting a place booked in Toronto. I was trying to nail down some plans with two couple we want to visit with in Toronto. All came together today and found Mid-Town the best location for us. We really enjoy booking an Apartment on AirBnB when staying more than one night, and they did not disappoint. The have a class of "Supper Hosts" which indicate a host with High Standards and No Complaints. I generally start out by filtering on Super Hosts. - I narrowed it down to 2 places and Iain chose this one - Priced at $181 a night seemed like a steal after looking at many of the 5* hotels.

Instead of coding with a a picture of Orange (Premium) and a Lemon or is it a Lime (Classic) don't you think it would be just as easy to say Classic or Premium.

Just finished my final walk as tomorrow I will be taking Alison home. Talking about sticker shock I thought I would share a picture of our Gas prices. California has a special blend to reduce carbon emissions but really ups our gas prices. Now about Silicon Valley. All of fixed building are required to install art pieces to add to the community. This is actually installed at the light rail stop and always puts a smile on my face. During the pandemic the gator a children were wearing masks.

Glad you enjoyed the British Isles Cruise. Did you happen to make it to the Shetlands. We have been very lucky this year as we watch the rest of the country suffering in the terrible heat. We have had only a couple days of oppressive heat and most of the summer was in the 75-80 range. I think I only switched on the AC twice. Today it is sitting at 73 F with a nice breeze. .

Black Cavier is something that you will also never see served on Celebrity - Maybe a little here and there sprinkled on as a garnish. I was watching a video and was amazed at the size of the plate of Caviar that was on their table. I'm not that big of a fan of Caviar but may just learn that I like it more than I thought I would.

One of the main bonuses of being a 1st time Celebrity cruiser
Jim_Iain replied to CruisinShips's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Maybe that is the intention of Celebrity. Drive away all their more seasoned cruisers that expect many of the things that are being reduced or eliminated and replace them with the "New Celebrity" Future Customers. If they never had it they won't miss it. -
Your experience may be the reason many of use choose to use a TA. Their prices are the same as Celebrity's or often offer cheaper prices and/o additional OBC. I usually only need to send one e-mail or one phone call that is answered immediately to facilitate a booking. Normally I book online and then just email my agent to transfer it and apply his additional incentives. Personal choice but one I would select if I experienced what you have by calling Celebrity Direct.

I was impacted a bit more. We had a B2B booked and they cancelled the TA which was the second cruise. We did get the full refund which came through quickly but still have not seen the promised Future Cruise Credit. I was stuck with the first leg on an NR. Luckily my agent put pressure on Celebrity and they changed the Med to a TA with not fees and even passed along the Booking on Board perks. I was looking for a cruise to extend our TA but nothing of interest. That is when I found the Cunard deal.

You are only exciting us more. We both really love GOOD cheeses which is something we often don't find on Celebrity unless dining in Murano. The local fish are also something we will enjoy. I hope they will feature some of the wonderful FRESH WATER fish of the great lakes. Differences - Celebrity does not often offer Fresh Local Fish and even when traveling in Europe only occasionally have a special offering of local cheese in the OVC. I've never seen them serve them in Luminae.

We were in Cork earlier this year - overnight on one cruise and just a day on the second. I really loved Cork but we probably the highlight of both cruises was Spike Island and the Prison. The history of the prison is an incredible sad story. We lived in Dublin for 3 years and the Irish are incredible people that are always welcoming and hospitable.

Thanks much for confirming. I often find a hotel and then use Street View to virtually walk around the neighborhood to get a feel for the area. Mader's sounds fantastic but reading their menu I'm not sure we could even finish off one of their appetizers. Surprisingly in Mt View where I go to daily on my walk has two German Restaurants --- albeit nowhere as interesting as what I've seen in Milwaukee. The weather should be perfect for us. We live in a very Mediterranean type climate with summers in the 75-80 F level with no humidity. I have to admit I don't handle the humidity of Florida real well.

They often do not load the full menu's until closer to cruise. If you check either the current or next cruise on Equinox they have all the menus loaded and they should be the same for the same number of day and the same itinerary. For the Current Cruise on Day 7 they have Broiled Lobster Night
