  1. Actually our Zenith Points are identical. Iain does often wear his pin to the Zenith Lunch. He attends about 50% of the Captain's Toasts and does attend the Zenith Lunches. He has never joined CruiseCritic and I don't think he even has a login. I do read some of the more interesting posts to him. BTW he often follows my posts while we are on a cruise and often asks me where I shot a picture.... sometimes you have to look behind you.....
  2. We received a FedEx Ground shipping notification last week.... I think we will receive ours today. I'm not sure I will ever wear it. I've never worn my original pin.
  3. Cut off is 48 hours prior to cruise. At the point you reservation is locked and the final manifest is delivered to the ship.
  4. You probably will not be able to see it on a November cruise until closer to your cruise date - Best way to extrapolate is to go to a current cruise on your ship with the same number of day. Click the Calendar Icon - The Chic nights will usually be the first Sea Day and the last sea day that is not the final night. On the Activities --around 5:00PM it will give you the Chic Attir and also usually Photo Sessions: Make it Chic
  5. I've been lurking and reading your wonderful review. We are big hikers and explorers also and I often plot day excursions on our own. We try to avoid cruising in the Summer Months --- mostly due to heat and crowds but looks like you found some wonderful hikes. Thanks for taking the time to post.
  6. I checked last year for someone and they did indeed have foam rollers. Can't imagine they would not have them now, hopefully someone on board can confirm for you.
  7. I just tried a mock booking and no problem. It popped up about 30 choices.
  8. Possibly they know that American's are more prone to tip better than many Europeans.
  9. While there may be scales it is really difficult to get a weigh with the movement of the ship. I've tried before on other lines and the needle swings back and forth so you can get an approx weight.
  10. Would be helpful to mention what ship you will be on for additional offerings. You will also be able to check the app and see the hours. On M-Class Sushi on Five is Open (Al La Carte) and Mast Grill, on E-Class Le Grand Bistro, Raw on 5
  11. Click Head Icon Top Right Under current selected cruise -- Choose Select a different Cruise Go to very bottom - Don't See your Cruise - Let's Add it now Go half way down select Browse our Ships Select your ship Select current sailing.
  12. Well it's 21 days until we set sail. Just finished check-in which was fairly painless. I do have to day that the Celebrity App makes it so much easier. The main advantage the app has is that you just scan the bar code on you Passport and all the information is automatically loaded. The most difficult part is getting Oceania to accept your photo. They have restrictions on both size and number of pixels dimensions. I've read the solution is to use an iPhone as many claim android phones fail. I have a number of stock photos on my PC that I use for checkin and visa's. The work around is to go to one of the free Photo Resizing sites like imageresizer.com Just put in the dimensions by pixels or inches and done.
  13. I'm not holding my breath for my Cruise on Regatta in 3 weeks. It would be nice.
  14. As the adage goes. We each enjoy a cruise in a different way. I'm a non-drinker due to medical reasons but I don't sit around and disparage others who may enjoy sitting around a bar and drinking. I also don't enjoy sitting around a pool basking in the sun. I live in a connected world and spend lots of time producing videos and live blogs that some enjoy. All I ask is you not disparage others for not falling into a cookie cutter mold on what we should all do or not do.
  15. We were in the same situation as you and decided to Renew our Passports early. We applied in June and received our new ones back in 3 weeks. Was very pleased with the processing time.
  16. Living in the middle of Silicon Valley I have to say that locally most seniors are very comfortable with technology. Technology improves all of our lives and the beauty is that if someone doesn't wish to use it they can rely on the current technology which really appears to be missing on Oceania. Another example of Oceania being slow off the block is switchover to Starlink. I got an email earlier today that Regent will have all their ships upgraded by the end of the month.
  17. My situation was a bit different and very frustrating. We booked a fairly expensive excursion and Oceania changed the port. One would think it would be no problem. I called and said it would automatically be cancelled and refunded and to wait 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I had to call back and they manually cancelled.
  18. Check the ships schedule for the date you will be in Key West.
  19. Yes... all you have to do is stop by the Concierge in Retreat and they will credit the purchased dinner packages.
  20. Usually 501 Front St, Key West, FL 33040 Most ships will dock at Mallory Square or the Truman Annex (Pier B.) Both are within easy walking distance of Old Town. Duval Street is only 2 blocks from the pier. Some ships, however, dock at the Outer Mole Pier (aka Navy Mole) on the outskirts of town. It will be determined by the number of ships in Key West on the same day. If only one you will dock at Mallory Square
  21. Back for another Comparison - Website / APP services. Without being biased I have to say that Celebrity beats Oceania hands down when it comes to technology. While many complain about Celebrity's glitchy, I find it very efficient and an effective tool. Oceania has a long way to go when it comes to technology. One example is that you can book an excursion on their website but if you need to make a change or cancellation you have to physically call and speak with an agent. Celebrity has a both a Website as well as a dedicated app. You can book excursions, drink packages, internet using either and if you need to cancel you just click a cancel button and payments are immediately refunded to the form of payment used.
  22. I was thinking o doing a RV vacation but haven't gotten any traction as of yet. I would love to Visit Yellowstone ... would be a fantastic way to visit.
  23. Guess I will have to come back on August 24th. All information is complete except Check-In which is greyed out.
  24. Received an e-mail today from Oceania. Check-in begin at 21 days per-cruise and they direct us to their website to complete check-In. I believe I've already entered most of the information but will have to enter my Credit Card details. Any pointers welcome. This is also a difference. On Celebrity you do not receive any e-mails on check-in. They leave it up to you to figure out.
