  1. I always book it as soon as possible. You can always cancel them within cancellation period for a quick refund to original form of payment - OBC or CC. On many cruises the excursions with limited spaces sell quick. Sometimes they add additional tours
  2. I always chuckle when someone orders the Mascarpone Cheese Cake - and tells the waiter - I ordered the cheese cake only to be advised it is the cheese cake.
  3. Thanks - I was not aware of how they define a "Continental Breakfast" The official definition is listed below but often in Germanic countries it includes some meat products The continental breakfast is a light option typically consisting of pastries and baked goods, fruits, toast, and coffee. Curious if you have seen what is listed as Continental
  4. Would you mind if I occasionally use one of your pictures when I forget to take a picture. I'll always try to post credits. I have a data base of pictures - mostly deserts because they always look so different than described on the menu.
  5. Great - Here's the Stock Menu 3 from 2019 All the same except Lamb Loin in lieu of a Lamb Chop. This was also what we saw on Solstice in December.
  6. Easy to cancel. They are almost immediately returned to form of payment - OBC or CC. Click the upper right icon with your initials and choose order history. Select item you wish to purchase and click cancel. Most tours can be cancelled up until 24 hours prior to the tour. Multi Day and some tours have restrictions.
  7. In Japan our first tour was with a Tours by Local private tour. He was incredible and helped us learn how to read the maps and determine the fair. After that we were really able to get our tickets without waiting on line for an agent. BTW all the agents spoke perfect English and were both polite and patient.
  8. Agree with @NutsAboutGolf When we were aboard Solstice speeds were I think Max 8 up and 6 down. We were on the first cruise after installation so maybe they need to tweak and tune it.
  9. You can also get a copy of your booking if booked directly (not with agent ) Call the regular Celebrity 1-800 number, select option 1, then option 3, to get the latest booking confirmation emailed to the address on record for Person #1 on the booking. But I have been informed by folks on CC that only works if you’re booked directly with Celebrity.
  10. I've heard mixed remarks lately. Maybe a current Non-Suite can confirm. In the past you had a door order hanger and could order breakfast for no surcharge. Recently they implemented a surcharge for anything except Continental (Generally identified as Coffee / Tea/ Juice / Sweet Rolls / Muffins. A full breakfast is now a 9.95 surcharge. I have read one message that said they no longer have the door hanger and you must call in your Room Service order. This may have been only when first implemented. But if they do have the door hangers you can put out the night before and designate deliver between 6:30-9:30 and it will be delivered to your room.
  11. What no Emu? LOL. We have visited Australia often and my best friend lives there. I think we have pretty much tried everything even Balmain Bugs. Maybe they could get them instead of Lobster. Love your food pictures
  12. Your right even on the cruise you often get different answers according to who you speak to. Last cruise the Hotel Director, Retreat Host and Customer Service manager were giving estimates of the Xmas week cruises. At one point the Hotel Director and Customer Service Manger got into a bet on the count - quoting I looked at the XXX report. He finally conceded to the Customer Service Manager as the report she quoted was more up to date. The numbers were changing daily.
  13. My experience in a Suite is difference. During Revolution they installed a new Driftwood looking paneling and when tried magnets they would slide down. The metal ceilings were an alternative. I have heard that in the Balcony cabins they are still good for magnets - not sure of Aqua
  14. Looking at app and see the following Craft Social - shows open at 3:00 al la Carte bar grub Mast Grill - Opens a 11:30 Hamburger's and Hotdogs Sushi on Five - Opens at 11:30 Al La Carte Ocean View Grill - Open at 11:30 Cafe Al Bacio - Coffee and Sweets
  15. I did notice on @nz1 Luminae Food Picture thread they have a new Entree for Lunch - I'm sure it isn't fleet wide. For my main, I chose the kangaroo loin which, I was a little hesitant about as the one previous time I’ve had it, it’s been a bit dry. But, it was nicely done with braised red cabbage and potato mash, with small cocktail onions and carrots. Looks incredible - @nz1 is on a New Zealand Cruise
  16. I can understand some concern about things like signs, all you need is Google Translate - take a picture and it translates both name and number. I've always found people in Asia to be very helpful and always find a way to communicate. Possibly I feel more comfortable because I use to travel to Asia on business and spent 3 months working in Thailand and a couple in Singapore. To me Japan is the easiest to get around because most things are in both English and Japanese and many of the young love to speak to you so they can practice English. I even had some come up to us to help us order food - many places you order and pay on a kiosk and then go in to collect your meal. I've probably done 50 tours on our own in Asia and never once had a problem. If booking with most private tours you have an English speaking guide and they take care of everything for you.
  17. Now that's something I've never known before.
  18. On our last cruise we had Branzino, Sea Bass, Chilean Sea Bass and Loupe de mer. I was curious as to me they all tasted and are prepared the same So... I Googled - Curious if you find Branzino tastes different Is branzino the same as sea bass? European seabass is sold under various names including Mediterranean seabass, branzino, and loup de mer. In the UK it is sold as European seabass whereas in US, it's most frequently sold as branzino (branzini, plural) and many restaurants serve them whole.
  19. Alaska cruises are generally more relaxed in both style and clothing. Jean's are always allowed in all dining rooms. Some like to dress up a little on Chic nights but is not required.
  20. Unfortunately no - On move up you retain any perk you may have gotten at booking but only receive the amenities of the room e.g. Luminae and Retreat. If you win a RS or above you get the amenities that come with the room - Free Specialty, Laundry and 2 bottles of booz.
  21. Nope-- was looking at Apex - which the OP indicated in second sentence. Phew--- I thought I had grabbed the wrong ship.
  22. Terry - to be honest I love fish but don't think I've ever had Tilapia. I have to say the fish chef in Luminae on all the ships I've sailed have never disappointed. Always cooked to perfection.
  23. I thought you were going to say it gives your cowboy boots extra traction on icy Texas mornings. 😂 I think this discussion is going down the drain where you both think Kale belongs.
