  1. It's on the MDR menu near the bottom on the app but available in all Restaurants I believe including the Specialties.
  2. My feeling is "Nothing Ventured Nothing Gained"
  3. No. Unfortunately you only get the perks including points of your original booking.
  4. I've found that contacting Celebrity via e-mail to be hit or miss. Usually effective but most of the time I hear noting back at all. When I've physically called in I've always been treated very professionally and the problem was fixed quickly. When I've sent an message to senior management I've always received a response back. Often as expected it is just the party line with a bit of empathy. I would expect such a response if complaining about cutback etc. They do listen and I've seen policies reversed if there is enough negative feedback. Years ago Lisa in a cost cutting move took away the night time chocolate on the pillows. Believe it or not there was such an outrage they were back in a couple months.
  5. Thanks for taking the time to do a review. Always nice to see a fresh perspective and comparison to other cruise lines.
  6. I think I tried to link an article from that site and a big red haze came up in my message saying the Host had to approve. To post a link all you do is copy the URL at top of browser and paste to message. If you want to be really fancy --- you can type a word and then highlight and click the Chain Link at top and put the url and you make a Short Word linked to the URL.
  7. Check the app. I posted the menu a day or two ago. It is pretty much unchanged
  8. YOu can always ask. We were on a cruise and I booked high for a RS. I didn't win it and it was still available when we boarded the ship. I asked about upgrading and the price they gave me was higher than I could have booked paying full fare 2 days prior to the cruise. I of course turned it down and they sailed with it empty. The decision on pricing is up to the Revenue Manager on the ship. Try it and if the price is right upgrade. They often don't do the upgrade of NO shows until the 3rd day.
  9. To be honest no one will be standing in the hall checking which bedroom you sleep in. Most that have done similar that I've read about just it and didn't say anything to Celebrity. That process may not work depending on whether you want to eat with your kids. If you booked that way you may be in MDR and spouse in Blu. They do not permit not AQ guests except Suites on space available basis.
  10. It was the highlight of our vacation. I was surprised Celebrity didn't offer one. I should have said it was really safe and easy for a senior. One guest had his mother with him who had fallen and broken her arm on the first day of the cruise and was able to easily get on and off the small boat.
  11. LOL -- All you do is push the button on phone or tv and watch the 2 minute video then stop by muster station. I have faith in you. You can do it.
  12. I generally avoid those types of cruise and found you can probably do much better booking your own. We did a B2B last month. In Mazatlan I did the Kayaking Trip to Dear Island solo and had a fantastic time - 8 in our group. Second trip we hiked to the top of the Lighthouse peak on our own. Again now sure why anyone would do that and pay for it. Cabo - We did the 4 wheel off road on our first visit but great fun - expensive for the photos. Second trip we did a private Whale Watching excursion - about 8 on trip all from our ship. Best whale watching we ever had. Cabo Whale Watching was the name of the company. Included in the fare was a link to all the photos the photographer took. Your given a link to download. She even took photos of us and the other passengers with the Arc when we came in close.
  13. I think it may depend on the card. On Solstice for a B2B my first card was perfect the whole cruise. My second the printing was so bad you couldn't read anything so they printed another. The next one started peeling after a couple days but lasted me the full cruise.
  14. While it might be slightly different here's the instructions. - on this cruise all passengers had a face to face aboard the ship (unusual).
  15. That it does. I've been on a number of cruises where I never received one but was able to go the the Upgrade Page and enter a bid.
  16. The normal process is you will receive an invite to a B2B meeting prior to turn around day and they will go over all the details. You will receive a little letter package with a Transit Card and full details. For rooms if you are not moving rooms you don't need to do anything. If changing rooms you just pack up things in drawers and leave everything on hangers. Your Stateroom attendant will move everything while you are doing B2B formalities. You have 2 options - Leave the ship - Must leave before 9:30 but can't come back aboard using your Transit Pas until General Boarding. You do this if you want to tour for the day or shop. Staying aboard until after general boarding - You will be instructed to meet in a location (usually a lounge) around 9:00. After final call at around 9:30 the ship will be zeroed out and immigration will be done either aboard or ashore for B2B. If going ashore they will either do it via electronic clearance (walk up to a camera and get a green check mark or fact to face with an agent. When you leave the ship they tag you off and retain your SeaPass (given back by the end of next cruise) Once all B2B's are cleared you are invited back ashore and will have either given your new card or your new card will be on your room. You then have full access to the ship until general boarding begins.
  17. Thanks for reporting. Was that the entire offering. Our Solstice they had some JBL Speaker and that was all they had.
  18. It should be. It's the same menu for MDR, Blu and Luminae.
  19. I was on Solstice for a B2B in December and had the kids Filet 3 or 4 times. Perfectly prepared - I had it with a Baked Potato instead of the standard.
  20. I agree the App can be useful but like much of Celebrity can be inconsistent or in error. I especially like it to check the menus but does have some inconsistencies at times. I also like onboard to use the electronic key and room controls on e-class ships. Also like the ability to watch our on-board account.
  21. Celebrity recently changed protocol and some of that has changed but celebrity hasn't updated their page. Maybe that is what the * says. Currently all US cruises that is accurate and no testing is required. TransAtlantics and TP and Australia/New Zealand do have testing requirements and on the TransAtlantic protocol you again need to be Fully Vaxed and will need to be tested either monitored or self monitored. I'm being told that on a B2B with a TA we will need to be tested by the ship but personally have gotten a different answer from Celebrity.
  22. It is a small 4 ounce Filet and when I've had it was always a filet - usually and end cut before they cut the regular Filet's For us it's the perfect portion but some order 2.
  23. Linda, Happy to see you are enjoying your cruise. I got a chuckle out of you Hoppen remark. You mean you don't miss the Munckin chairs. I hear they are now all in the Kid's Camp. So nice to hear a positive comment. BTW I was looking and they still have the 4 Ounce Filet on the Kids menu. It was always our go to item if nothing interested us on the menu.
  24. So far the results are pretty close to what I would have expected from walking through the OVC to get some hot water at night.
  25. Look forward to your Live post. Were you lucky enough to get the same cabin for all cruises? While it is really easy to change rooms it is so nice not to have to deal with the minor inconvenience.
