  1. Thanks Bonnie -- I hope you have a wonderful holiday season. Yikes being away I can't believe it's only 5 days til Christmas. I'm off to the Central Valley tomorrow to pick up Alison, our youngest daughter.
  2. Thanks for the Christmas greetings. We have been busy since we got home. While we will probably be trying some other lines. We definitely will be around on the Celebrity Board. We have 10 cruises booked through 2024. I just booked the air on a non-stop to Singapore for the Singapore to Sydney/New Zealand for November 2023. I was awoken rudely last night at 2:37 AM when my phone started shrilling - Earth Quake Alert - Take cover, Cover your head. Part of the early earthquake warning system that is suppose to alert us 15-20 seconds before and earthquake. We were far away and didn't feel a thing except my heart pounding.
  3. Thanks for coming along. We really enjoyed it and would not hesitate doing it again. All me now need is for Celebrity to Cooperate and base a ship on the West Coast. We have never done the Galapagos but is on the bucket list.
  4. I'm sure it could be done. We once took a B2B Cruise originating Fort Lauderdale - Through the Panama Canal and down to Lima for the first cruise with the second being Lima to Buenos Aires. Was one of our favorites.
  5. I really think that the drivers were purposely not accepting rides to force the prices to surge. The app initially said there were drivers within 5 minutes. San Pedro definitely doesn't have the number of drivers as LAX
  6. I've found that most of the time the on-line registration opens at 12:01 in timezone of departure e.g. Fort Lauderdale. I was able to begin registration at 9:01 Pacific. I usually just to in and select the checkin time for each person
  7. Ship was cleared early and Suites luggage available at 7:45. Ww were first off. Tried for an Uber for 5 minutes without being accepted $58. a cab pulled up to taxi tank so cancelled Uber. At LAX by 8:30 for a 11:00 flight. Only traffic was once we arrived at airport. Beautiful crisp morning without a cloud in the sky BTW the taki was $63 and Lyft had surged to 120.
  8. It's interesting - It's surfers standing in front of surfboards. Many think the see Egyptians.
  9. I've booked a couple packages this year. Never had a problem on Summit nor Solstice. Most had just one or two places available except on Chic Nights then about 6 places setup with different backdrops or on the Grand Staircase. @Pickels there was no limitation on how many in a shot. When you have your picture taken they just ask for your room number. They also use photo recognition to those you tag on your account. The way it works is you go to the Photo Department and setup an account on their Kiosk. All your pictures show up in your folder. If you are missing one you can go down and they will help you find it or just put in date and you can page through the photos and also put some of the stock photo the photographers shoot. They also shoot in the dining rooms on Chic night as well as at the gangway at each port. During the cruise you are given a link and can directly download to your pc or device or at the end of the cruise we received a link to Download. After awhile the photogrophers get to know you and will work with you to do other than canned poses.
  10. I would second that site. I book through them often and many are the same as offered on Viator but easier to book.
  11. You can use unlimited devices on a single account but only one at a time. If your wife wishes to log in she will be given the choice to knock you off the air.
  12. The thread was really old (February 15) - the full deployment through March of 2024 is now out.
  13. Well we had a wonderful lunch in Luminae with James and Dean from Sydney. We ended up chatting until almost 3:00. During lunch the last 2 days the Dolphins have been putting on a performance. Yesterday there were hundreds and they were jumping and doing flips to the delights of the lunch guest.
  14. Thanks for you review. Really interesting to hear of the inconsistencies fleet wide. We had lunch a couple times at Spa Cafe and they made the best Club Sandwich I have ever had. Iain said the Chicken Salad was on the dry side. Fruit was fresh and actually the cantaloupe was soft and flavorful. They didn't have the Caprese Salad out but when we requested one they prepared it in the kitchen with Beautiful Tomatoes - lots of Mozzarella and fresh basil (the best I've ever had).
  15. Haven't seen the flyers but they do have a couple links on line https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-deals/exciting-deals https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-deals/last-minute
  16. One warning. Their are only a couple places you will receive Fresh Squeezed OJ. This comes from the person who gets up every morning to squeezed the juice at 3:30 every morning. There are 3 types of OJ - Standard OJ - This is frozen OJ like at supermarkets in the freezer section. "Fresh Squeezed" - Which is Factory Fresh Squeezed like in the refrigerated section of the Grocery Store. This is what is available at the OV Bar. Real OJ Squeezed from Oranges on the ship - Only available in Luminae, Blu, Retreat and at Captain's Club Elite and above continental breakfast.
  17. The dreaded luggage tags arrived last night. While it is sad to leave we are looking forward to getting home for Christmas.
  18. Our Top Cruiser photo finally arrived - after having our butler track down.
  19. They finally did acknowledge it. I received a personal handwritten note for the Hotel Director who apologized for the missteps and hoped to be able to win us back as loyal guest. Also received a typed note and a nice bottle of wine from Director of Loyalty.
  20. Thanks Gerry.... I sure hope they port a ship on the west coast, but haven't looked at all the schedules they just released. Gives me something to do when I get home.
  21. I just checked on Solstice at lunch and they only have Heineken Zero. She did say they often also have O'Doule's but hasn't had it in the last month.
  22. It has to do with the camera. I found the way to resove is to open the photo in edit and then rotate 4 times and save. I use to have that problem on my iPhone 12 but only occassionally have that problem with the new iPhone
  23. If I recall correctly they also have a ship diagram with the quadrant the luggage to be delivered.
