  1. Usually when they cancel they offer you a Slip and Shift offer. Same price and perks. Make sure you call and ask for them to give you the same pricing. The $200 obc will be in addition to your existing offers.
  2. you will find the Menu in the App. Just choose a current sailing and select Eden Cafe - Menu BTW - they have the best Brownies in the afternoon you will ever indulge yourself with.
  3. Only caveat is there is a monthly 5G Data Cap - If you go over that your speed drops to 3G for the remainder of the month. I accidentally went over the limit uploading picture to Cruise Critics while on an excursion.
  4. That should be so nice. We once did an Alaska RT out of San Francisco - It was so nice not to fly to a cruise. We have friends that travel Princess quite a bit and say they especially like it for Alaska Cruises. They have lots of infrastructure in Alaska that other cruise lines don't come close to.
  5. I remember meeting you in the Security Line and was sure we would bump into each other again. Hope to meet you on the TA. On most days while at sea we are usually out walking the track between about 10:30 - 1:30. I love the two deck walking / jogging track on E-Class ships. With so many sea days should be easy to spot.
  6. Check the App under Cruise Planner --- usually first sea night and last prior to the last night. In Cruise planner look for Chic Pictures at around 5:00 PM best indicator.
  7. Good hearing from you. Have to agree Pramod was a really good Stateroom attendant. Surprised to hear of your experience on Oceania I've only hear good things about them.
  8. I usually don't use Chrome but just tried and had no problems signing on with Chrome. Would suggest you clear Cache and try again Click the Tools menu (three dotted lines in the upper-right corner). Select History. Select Clear Browsing Data from the left-hand side. Set the Time Range set to All Time. ... If on a Windows computer, close and re-open Chrome to save your changes.
  9. The only thing available are listed on the Menu. Specialty Coffee's with flavoring are generally not available. Remember it's a pre-plated venue and would be difficult for them to customized.
  10. Thanks for your trip report. I'm sure it must be a trying time for both guests and staff with ships at full capacity. I hope things calm down and you have a wonderful cruise. I"m sure the Caribbean weather is wonderful.
  11. Thanks @AussieBoyTX I'm like @AussieGirlTX and don't drink but am the planner of the bunch. I've really been studying Ponant in detail. Wanted to confirm if drinks in the MiniFride in rooms is included. From what I've read it appears to be included. I was going to contact my Agent this week and have him start working on a booking. We have pretty much decided to give Ponant a try and then follow it up with a booking on SilverSeas. I've read some really good posts of yours about both.
  12. You can check the App. Under check in it will give you the exact date it will open for your cruise.
  13. I know someone on board who requested a stepping stool from their room attendant and it was quickly delivered. This was for a CS and they were happy with the step provided.
  14. On all of the equipment I've been on there was a jack to plug in headphones. They are the 3.5 mm jack and not the iPhone one.
  15. My experience is that with a Non-Refundable credit in the U.S. if you cancel or change you are charged $100 pp and can obtain a FCC for the remainder. With a Refundable in the U.S. if you cancel prior to final payment you are given a full refund to original form of payment.
  16. Feel free to order doubles.. LOL. If your pass has a PAL on it your good to go. On a recent cruise someone screwed up and 80% of the passengers had nothing printed on their cards. Was a real mess with a line to Customer Services with 200-300 on line.
  17. Thank... I've come to understand the difference of a Expedition and Explorer cruise and think it would be of interest. I do indeed love photography and also exploring both on my own as well as well executed tours. I was mostly concerned about Winging "Old People" that are usually younger than me, or those choosing to go on an excursions whey they don't meet the minimum suggested requirements of mobility or exertion. I don't mean to be disparaging but have been on a couple cruises where a passenger would be complaining about everything from start to finish.
  18. Thanks for the input. We really enjoy dressing for dinner so no big deal. We always have at least one jacket or Tux with us on most cruises.
  19. Good luck there are many videos on YouTube to show how to setup for hotel mode.
  20. I believe they have Main Lobster on the E-Class ship as part of the Eden Dinner Choice - New England Seafood Dinner. At least in the picture there is a lobster claw shown.
  21. Not any longer. There use to be a no double dipping rule but they eliminated - I've gotten along with numerous other discounts and obc's
  22. We really aren't concerned about "Fancy / Schmancy" Part of our Norther California attitude is you get a blend of people dining black tie to those like Steve Jobs who normally showed up in Jeans and his iconic black T. No one raise an eyebrow.
  23. @TrulyBlonde Thanks for pointing my to your well written review. You have me second guessing whether we should try Silverseas first rather than Ponant. The cruise we are considering is on the Explorer Class ship. I'm expecting a total different experience than Celebrity but very intrigued by the particular Great Lakes Cruise. At least it will be close to home and hopefully we won't experience the heavy seas you went through. Your comparison to a River Cruise will be interesting as Iain has been wanting to do one while I'm kinda against it.
  24. Thanks -- Found it at: I will be spending some quality time reading your live post. Thanks for the pointer.
