  1. Reflections has an additional Floor than all other S-Class ships and has approx 120-280 more passengers but they have the same number of seats in MDR, Blu and Luminae - which has caused some problems in past sailings. My opinion is based on the fact we almost exclusively have sailed in suites and some Aqua. After a really bad experience (the Luinae Maitr'd was out of his element) we have never sailed her again and probably will never sail her again. Reflections has 111 Suites - Vs 72 on Silhouette (after Revolution) Blu isn't as bad with 150 Aqua Rooms vs 130 on Silhouette
  2. I was an early one and back when they included land quarantine. After I returned home I heard nothing and called in after a month. Nothing had automatically begun and the phone call got me in touch with a person in Engagement Center. It took me 3 months to get all that was due back and 3-4 direct emails pushing to keep it moving. The reimbursement for my land base isolation, car and food came back rather quickly as well as the one day of isolation on the ship. It took the longest to get the refund of a full cruise cancelled as I tested positive on the B2B testing. May just be my case but it came in dribs and drabs with no reference to what was covered and I had to create a spreadsheet to reconstruct to assure it was all paid.
  3. Number of days for the full cabin price not prorated by person.
  4. The bottles are 1 liter bottles. To help put value on it. If you buy the Grey Goose 1 Liter as a Bar setup the cost is $120. On the other hand the price in the Duty Free is 2 Liter Bottles for $60 but you can't drink in on board and delivered to you at the end of the cruise.
  5. Thanks -- I knew there was an end date but didn't want to quote something I was uncertain about. I guess all the cruise with confidence sailing will soon pass. I did pickup about 4 price reductions under that program. One as close as 5 days prior to cruise.
  6. Good resource - I'll give you a little trick - OK -- I've been a hacker since I was young. On the top of the page Choose Query --- and then Show all and put in the Date Range you want like I did and you can see the schedule for a future month - You can only return the first 500 lines. You can also put in the Ship and show the whole season's schedule. I love playing around with apps. This is for November --
  7. The opposite could also happen and did happen on one that I bid on. They dropped both the minnimum and the Max. about 2 weeks prior to the cruise My bid was over the New Max and I changed it to a number under the Max and won the upgrade.
  8. Asking the same question twice will get the same answer twice The determination would be if you booked your cruise before May 1, 2022. If you booked before May 1 you would probably be able to get a price adjustment. I believe you may be confusing a combination of Cruise with Confidence and Best Price Guarantee. During the pandemic the Cruise With Confidence gave you the opportunity to cancel without penalty up until 48 of a cruise. Thus you could also get a price reduction up until 48 hours prior to sailing or you could just cancel and rebook. This all changed at the end of April 2022. After May 1 if you booked a cruise you were only covered by the Best Price Guarantee and that provides only that if you book and pay for your cruise and the price crops within 48 days of that event you could get a price adjustment. To better understand you have to get down into the fine print on the Best Price Guarantee https://www.celebritycruises.com/company/customer-support/best-price-guarantee

  10. They usually have O'Doul's, Heineken Zero and sometime Clausthaler. When on Summit last month the didn't have Clausthaler. The also have Fre (by Sutter Home) Non-Alcoholic wine in Sparkling, White, Red and Rose
  11. I've never done one nor do I believe would ever book one. I think it is universal regardless of cruise line anything 5 days and less will be attractive to a younger crowd that are on the cruise to party. I've even been on some 7 day cruises around Spring Break that can also have a party crowd. I noticed the 5 day Cabo / Ensenada has cabins priced at about $66 a night pp for a room and unlimited food - Don't get me wrong - I'm not against them but just no longer what I enjoy.
  12. We have had the opposite on portion size. We don't like large meals and find it a turn off when a plate is piled high. We often ask for a 1/2 portion or a appetizer as a main course and even then they try to super size it until we get to know the server.
  13. I don't think they even asked for our Covid results on the Iceland cruise. I did however have to do a B2B test on both segments.
  14. I wasn't trying to correct you and sorry if you feel that way. I was trying to give you the full capacity so you could calculate the % full. You stated you weren't sure of the percentage and thought that would give you an idea that your ship was about 83% full.
  15. Appreciate the clarity. Obviously they do have a protocol for but wondering how the manage on a fully booked sailing.
  16. Me too...Except for me due to a mistaken wrong manufacuting early on I had 5 vax mixed Moderna and Pfizer and still got the Omicron variant.
  17. Appreciate but one question. Did you book and get this before they just dropped the requirement of passengers being vaccinated or after. Just curious.
  18. Thanks for taking the time and hard work to do a Live Report. I really enjoyed following along . Good luck on your flight home. Jim & Iain
  19. Great question..... I can't imagine how they would do that. Prior to allowing all unvaxed aboard we were on a number of sailings with unVaxed kids -- For those supposedly the kids had colored wrist bands but of course they disappeared after a day or two. The only restriction I saw was the parents and they children could not leave the ship in I believe all of the ports. Their cards were coded so would alert the security. Maybe an Unvax member can enlighten us when they cruise.
  20. Some of the dead zones may not have been "internet" problems and may have been internal problems as we couldn't even reach the logon screen. I was told they had to reboot their main router but was out for a full day. Our dead zones were really unusual locations - e.g. between Boston and Portland Maine but had better than usual connectivity in the Arctic between Greenland and Iceland (that I didn't' expect). I have done a number of TA's and had decent connectivity the except for one afternoon before they shifted from the NA Satellite to the European satellite near the Azores.
  21. For many reason I've seen on my 3 cruises in the last 2 months that things are definitely different. Liquor - Many top brands and Premium Wines are not available. Much of this is due to supply chain issues. In fact if you google on Crown Royal you will find due to Covid their complete inventory was consumed and they are waiting for new supply to age. Luminae - We were on Summit and felt the food quality and preparation was some of the best we have had on Celebrity. Maybe the Chief. There were some menu items changed due to availability but on our New England cruise the Food and Beverage Manager who we sat next to us on a Zenith lunch said he sourced the Lobster with Canadian Lobster instead of warm weather lobster. Ocean View - only ate there a couple times and was disappointed with the quality and selection. example - they usually have a nice cheese layout at lunch with about 8 different types of cheese on the full 5 weeks we were on the ship they just had Cheddar, Provolone and Swiss. Cold cut selection were also limited. Pizza they only had the same 3 types every day. Ice Cream selections were not of the range that was normally offered. At the grill where you order chicken, fish or beef the chicken was like shoe leather. The ships are short staffed due to problems getting enough staff - very obvious at bars and dining spots. On our sailing they only had 3 butlers to handle all the Suites instead of 5. Bring your patients but the staff really try to go above and beyond to please.
  22. No. It's kinda like at home when you go to a store there is no one wearing a giant Scarlet Letter.
  23. I read on another thread that they weren't even asked for their photo. As others say it is really going to be the honor system. What would stop anyone from taking a picture of someone else's negative test, or just not swab your nose and run the test with a sterilized swab.
  24. Agree with others. They will take them from you at checkin and give you a claim ticket to recover them on disembarkation. I saw someone in line who had bought knife in a port and they were taking it for the duration of the cruise. It may be best for you to have all of the items with you and declare at the metal detector or you will be called down to the naughty room later to have them processed.
  25. I think other's have pointed out. You never know if or when Celerity may drop the price. In fact they sometimes raise the price. The key factor is whether you have already booked. If you booked already you are already probably past Final Payment Date and if you didn't buy before April 1 they will not price match after final payment. I booked last week for the 12/3 and 12/11 cruises (final payment due at time of booking). I was initially able to get the last SS and the same room but a couple days later a CS opened up and I was able to grab it for one segment. In my searching over the years you may find a price drop a couple days to a week after Final Payment date and then it stays at that level until sailing. If there are excess cabins they often sell them in block to cruise consolidator who sell them as a group cruise rate.
