  1. Many use the patch and swear by them. Early when I had a problemsI tried them once. They really dehydrated me and made me loopy, I had to rip it off after about 8 hour and throw it away.
  2. Good to hear. I really don't understand why there are some spots (mostly while in ports) that the Wifi is flaky or just doesn't work at all. Ensenada was like that as well as Catalina Island - We could even see LA in the distance.
  3. It definitely was a long time ago. Luminae was new and like I said it was before they let SS's into Michaels Club. At the time it was limited to CS , Royal, Signature and Penthouse. We were in a Signature. As you know we are late diners and do not go to dinner until just before 9. It really is no big deal. I guess many have had a bad experience in an otherwise nice restaurant and had such a bad taste that it leaves a sour taste they wont' try it again. That's kinda where we are at. I never say never so who knows. If it was the only ship on an Itinerary - say South Africa (LOL) I would probably book.
  4. @WeBcruisingMN posted this picture of the Lobster Casserole - I love Lobster claws Their full review can be read here
  5. Here's the menu - Thank You Points Guy You can see the full menu including Appetizers at https://thepointsguy.com/reviews/first-look-celebrity-apex/
  6. As you said one real advantage of a B2B is that is something goes wrong in a port you have a second chance. Livonia is such a beautiful city. I hope you get to see it next cruise.
  7. I always do but it isn't required. It has come in handy a couple times. We were on a B2B tour to Windsor out of Southampton. One of us forgot to bring the Transit Passes (I won't point fingers). To get through the terminal door the needed a Transit Pass or a Boarding Pass. Since I didn't have the Transit Pass I flashed the Boarding Pass and we were in and then just joined the other B2B's to pick up our new Sea Passes. I think I do it for the feel good anticipation of a cruise. Also I then use the app to do our safety briefing.
  8. I'm guessing the decision was a financial one - Increase revenue from the extra cabins and not increase size and take it away from revenue generating areas of the ship.
  9. Really good point C-Dragons. Blu while not as large as the MDR is also another smaller venue. Also then you have to dig deeper and ask about the Ocean View and the Specialties. I guess we opened a real bag of worms.
  10. Thanks for the explanation. Interesting to hear how they will handle dining. I can now understand how they can handle it. Have they indicated whether there would also be protocols for the Theater and Casino? I'm having a hard time understanding how only segregating unVaxed in the dining room will have any influence risk of spreading covid.
  11. Thanks. Our next is going to be a B2B Dec 3 and 11 on Solstice out of LA. It will be the Mexican Riviera
  12. We had 3 different butlers. Our first cruise we had Ales - Fantastic Butler and would drop by on a regular basis just to check in with us. Second cruise we had Demir. He was very efficient and would quickly take care of any request but had the personality of a rock. We were asked if we wanted to have him for our 3rd cruise and we declined. Third cruise we had Tridip. Very efficient and would anticipate our needs. The first day (even though not in a top suite) he asked what types of water we preferred and mixers. He would replenish them on a daily basis. We really don't use the butler much but a good butler is a treat. We kept having a problem with one of our TV's and it would just get stuck on the main menu with the ship and the remote even though working would not communicate. He had a friend in It an he could just reboot our TV (the new tv's are more like a monitor run off of a Apple TV type device. Tridip really was overloaded and had to also handle his suites on 6 and also the ones on 7, 8 and 9. There were only 3 for the entire ship.
  13. I also asked my doctor and he said there should be no problem as the vaccine is not a live virus and the test is to detect live virus.
  14. Pricing has not been mentioned yet but I would at the least believe basic will still be a slowed down product. I have heard a number of people question if they will offer the Starlink at a price over the existing High Speed. Only time will tell.
  15. Yes...no problem All you have to do is share your username and passcode with him. You can either log out and let him log in or he can log in and it gives him to option of bumping you off. You can use on multiple devices but one one at a time per account. If your husband an you have free minutes by CC level he could also use those and create an account for himself until he uses up.
  16. Good to hear. I've never heard of Gravol. Looked and I like the ingredients and that they are time release. I'll have to pick some up for my Sister-In-Law who will be sailing with us in April - just in case. I found they have them on Amazon. As a kid I was terrible with motion sickness. After I became a Pilot I never got air sick again. After cruising for a couple years my body must have gotten used to it and I never get sea sick -- even on the wildest seas. When I was bothered in my early days I found that what worked for me was to take a pill the night before (the make me sleepy for sure and I got a great night sleep). I would then take one in the morning before boarding and found it calmed my inner ear down and I was fine for the rest of the trip. I still carry them just in case
  17. If you check on the App it will give you the exact date so you don't even have to do the math. Our December cruise is set for 45 days.
  18. I would agree that if there is major infrastructure damage or even if the city is struggling they might shift to another port. That would really be a challenge. I hope all in Florida stay safe and find a good refuge.
  19. Thanks for the information. Possibly next week (Oct 1) they will upload more schedules. I found the function really useful when trying to figure out what terminal. It's important to understand that thing can change. We were once scheduled at 25 and part of the signs at the port said 25 and part 18. We drove up to 25 and it was deserted so tried 18 and there she was.
  20. Ahh.. light bulb goes off. I seem to remember you saying that. Hope you are having beautiful weather it's perfect in the SF Bay area.
  21. The cruise lines rarely cancel. They may delay a departure by a day or change itinerary to avoid a storm but usually cruise life goes on. A couple years ago we were on a B2B from Vancouver to Tokyo and then the immersion cruise. There was a typhoon approaching and on B2B day we got an early call to meet in the lounge that all B2B's were being evacuated from the ship and would spend a night in a hotel. Evidently the storm was approaching to fast and would not have time to load all new passengers prior to the port closing. Next morning they shuttled us back to the ship and the cruise continued. All guest received a FCC in the amount of one night of their room.
  22. You can't believe how happy we are. We could not have had better weather for almost 5 solid weeks. We must have done something right. Hope all in Florida are taking proper protection and our hearts will be with you as we watch Hurricane Ian.
  23. One quick question. When you did your B2B in LA did they do Immigration in the Terminal or on the ship?
  24. I can assure you it was addressed. I initially sat down with him and explained my disappointment. He would call Michael's Club and say our table was ready and then when we came down would wait 30 minutes. Sitting looking disgusted the Captain came in and asked if there was a problem. I explained to him. The Captain who called the F&B Manager over and told him to fix it. The Retreat Concierge (this was before SS were permitted in Michael's Club) then would insist to call down each night to make sure our table was available and then insist on escorting us down. Even when we arrived it wasn't and he was no were to be found. I was embarrassed that the Concierge would insist on escorting us down. You are welcome to Sail Reflection if you choose but I will never sail her again. The extra passenger loads are also apparent in many other operations of the ship
  25. If I'm not mistaken our Canadian Neighbor are unable to purchase it in Canada, They no longer sell it by any brand name.
