  1. Singapore to Brisbane is an interest to me . A couple of nights in Singapore, what ever ship is doing cruises out of Singapore for a cruise and then the Repo to Brisbane sounds good.
  2. There’s your Singapore to Brisbane repo for Quantum .
  3. It is a bit strange with only 4 cruises,it would definitely have been from the casino /club royal. As for the free cruises from Australia, I haven’t had any personal experience but I have been told of people getting them out of Australia. Maybe you should send a email to Club Royal.
  4. I think they are just trying to hype up next season’s Brisbane bookings.
  5. I wish the could hire some Vietnamese bakers, the French showed them how to bake and then the Vietnamese took to another level. I like a good soup also as I try to diet a bit , it’s light and leaves plenty of room for booze LOL. And when they have a good soup cook it makes a difference. If the simple things are good everything else just seems to follow.
  6. It does vary ,I think it’s the skills of the kitchen staff from ship to ship. I find the first indication is the bread. If the bread is good most of everything else is good.
  7. Melt down of the seas has a ring about it . We will probably see it before Lelepa.
  8. Utopia runs on LNG which could be a problem for Australia. They would have to get a barge and transport it from Port Kembla to Sydney or Gladstone to Brisbane. It could be done but I don’t think so.
  9. I noticed you and your mates aren’t on the final check in ,last time on Ovation Graham ,The ship security was doing it .
  10. 12 bottles or cans of nonalcoholic drinks up to 500 ml per cabin. And 1 bottle of 750 ml wine for each person of drinking age.
  11. We were isolated for 3 days and where clear the day before getting off ,apparently. I still got someone to pick us up though, still felt pretty bad.
  12. Well, there was a high percentage of people coughing ,I was travelling with about 20 people and most had something. I did ask the nurse who tested me how many but she said it’s confidential . I was told by one of the staff I have gotten to know pretty well .
  13. Start eating rice and give those cheese burgers up.
  14. I was told by crew ,830 or something where positive not to mention the people who didn’t bother to get tested. Talking to our cabin attendant,he confirmed most of his clients where sick with something and the company tries to down play it. He said he has had it pretty bad , no pay and Royal wouldn’t even give him some Panadol. He had to buy everything. As for current affairs, I don’t watch it.
  15. I think the cruise industry will take some time to get back to what it was . Covid, missed port plus a lack of money will keep people away.
  16. I was on Ovation ,a few weeks ago around NZ and apparently it was the first cruise this season that it achieved all its port. How good is that. But something like a quarter of the passengers got Covid including me ,still trying to get over it.
  17. I did read years ago there was Chinese financial backing but if there was ,they are probably glad the money has moved out of china. I’m not a commercial banker But looking at this the money came from everywhere and anywhere. Wonder of the is owned by Wonder of the seas LLC . https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/884887/000088488722000028/a2022q2exhibit1028.htm
  18. I think it will have a casino,I haven’t read anything that says it won’t. It’s not over till the fat mouse sings.
  19. Do you think anthem would be suitable for Singapore? It’s a bit of a step down from Spectrum and it’s a cool climate ship.
  20. They are probably trying to drum up next season, this season just gone in Brisbane was a real lemon. It just didn’t sell like Sydney. Give it a few years with some transport and accommodation it will take off.
  21. I thought the carnival team would have it on hand ,Geoff. I have RCG. It’s. BIG GAV@bigpond.com ,actually he would have it .
