I just did exactly the same thing,a no show. There was not a question asked,the sea card was there for the extra person. No one ask where the missing passenger was at any time. Some say they get a refund on taxes and port fees but I didn’t, there wasn’t a price adjustment.

For those wanting to cash out their no refundable onboard credit out in the casino , Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are cracking down on it . I just got off Ovation and was blocked. A friend on Celebrity was just also blocked. The cashier told me ,you are allowed to transfer up to $100 once and you must gamble 50% of it otherwise you will be blocked from transferring money from your account. My experience. I cashed out $100 early in the cruise through a slot machine and was then blocked. I tried getting chips from a table but was told my account had been blocked from transferring money to the casino. I asked Guests service if I could get a cash advance to tip staff but was told that they don’t do it anymore. They said I had to do a thing called a modified gratuity or tip bar staff when I bought a drink. So ,with only a couple of days and $400 left all I could do is buy stuff and give it away in tips. I had a very happy cabin attendant and some very good drinks.

Yes that’s what I will do . I asked to get cash from Guest service for tips but they said no . They said that they can do a modified gratuity and give it to who I want.

It looks like Royal is on to us about cashing non refundable credit out at the casino. I cashed some out a couple of days ago at the casino through the slot machine. Just checking in Uncle Les. Its been a pretty uneventful cruise but a funny thing has been happening. I am familiar with some of the crew and bar staff and they know I’m single. A few times some crew have come up to me with a can of coke and started rubbing their index finger along the side of it. It has happened at least 20 times. It has had me baffled? I really couldn’t understand what was going on and then they would look in a direction and nod. Last night I was sitting at a bar and listening to the band . A couple of bar staff held a can of coke up to me and started rubbing their index finger along the side of it. They nodded towards the dance floor where a few ladies where dancing. The ladies where dressed in red and black and as you know a can of coke is red and black. The penny didn’t drop,I thought they referring to the coke I have with my bourbon all this time. I was dressed in a red polo shirt and black shorts last night ,a pure coincidence. A security Gard the size of a mountain came up to me and started looking at me as I was sitting at the bar. I thought I’m in trouble here ! He reached over the bar and picked up a red and black can of coke. Then started rubbing his index finger ( the size of a tree stump) along the side of the can of coke. He then looked over to the ladies on the dance floor. The penny finally dropped and the bar staff confirmed it with a hand action. Red a black designates a swinger looking for some action ! I just wanted to share that with you uncle Les , I thought it might make your day and now you know what colour clothes to buy.

Culturely enriching I believe is the term. Singapore people are OK ,it’s the Chinese that can be a bit uncouth. As diamond you should get access to the suite area and that is the entire solarium. Bar ,restaurant and pool. A private area away from the great unwashed. But you are going to Asia for a Asian experience, don’t forget that.

There’s a lot of Americans on this cruise and they seem to behave themselves. I’m being the gentleman and showing a couple of elderly ladies ,from Tampa Florida around Dunedin tomorrow. So all quiet on the western front.

Just to note we aren’t allowed to name agents here,I’ve been warned. My personal experience is a online agent is cheaper,I think 10-15% cheaper but I’m sure someone is going to say I’m wrong. The way I see it they whole sale it to the agent and it saves them hiring staff. The service isn’t there but if you know what you want that doesn’t matter.

What about studio balcony Ken? I have studio solo booked on ovation and a friend may want to come. It was only a $100 deposit,we would have to change cabin . Would that be a cancellation and rebooking?

I like the J4 spar ,junior suite. For 2 people they are nice, 2 bathrooms and are quite romantic.
