  1. im packing 2 emed tests, hubby got a certificate of recovery from the doctor so he won’t need to test. So I’ll have two in case. We didn’t book a B2B because we did the Odyasey TA to Rome in April and spent 2 extra weeks in Italy. And we have two more cruises after this before the end of the year. I’m hoping I won’t need to buy more emed tests.
  2. Yes it’s RCL that is mandating this. And it’s getting so stressful to continue to test on foreign cruises, if this wasn’t a once In a lifetime cruise that we’ve been waiting for since Brilliance was cancelled in 2020, we would have cancelled it long ago. The testing is getting annoying. We’ve decided we aren’t booking anything over 5 days other than our home ports of Florida until things are back to normal. My husband had Covid two weeks ago and if it weren’t for me hounding him to take a test, he was sure it was allergies.
  3. We’re on this cruise too. I’m hoping to see something announced on their august 14 update.
  4. I usually use a plain lanyard because it’s easiest for me and I was used to wearing one for work. some ships will punch the hole, but others, such as Odyssey won’t do it. So if you bring the lanyard, make sure you can use it either way.
  5. thanks, my husband got one the other day for our Sept 4 cruise. In his case he didn’t even test positive until the 5th day he was feeling a bit off. He only tested because I forced him. We both have allergies and that’s all it seemed he had.
  6. does this mean a Certificate of Recovery IS accepted in Copenhagen?
  7. same with ours, especially from ports that have a long way to go before open ocean.
  8. How do you know if using a COR will affect disembarking at ports?
  9. Sorry this cruise was bad, especially when it was the first one post Covid. we’ve taken 6 since the restart and I have to agree with things you noticed. The food isn’t as good, even in the couple of speciality restaurants we tried. We did a transatlantic on Odyssey to Rome and I had a glass of wine on day 1 and then it was out of stock the next 13 days. I loved the ship and crew, and food isn’t important to me, nor the out of stock wine that I liked, there were many others to drink. But we didn’t have a full ship, and the ship is beautiful, so none of the other things mattered. But I realize you were expecting a great cruise after not cruising for so long. It my be time to take a break and do land trips until things get back to normal 🤞
  10. Minute clinic does it for 69.00. We will just need to make an appointment if we choose this. But I see there’s other online ones we may use. 👍
  11. We just left our primary’s office and as I suspected he won’t do it. So we’ll try minute clinic.
  12. I agree, but ours is very fickle. We can’t even get through to the office to ask a question without first being interrogated by the main office. We are going to drive to the office and ask. I was hoping for an online place to do it like we do for testing.
  13. Where do you make appointments for the certificate form? We want to get one for my husband.
  14. Wow thanks! How many nights did you stay? We will be flying in from US and will be jet lagged the first day, and we only booked two nights. Did you stay longer than that? How far in advance did you book the taxi from the airport? And did you have to pre pay or pay at the time of the ride?
  15. I may be incorrect but if you test positive they won’t let you board. That’s not the same as you cancelling.
  16. Cats in on Oasis. the Effectors is in Odyssey in the theatre.
  17. Pre cruise We flew in just 1 day prior and since we’ve done Rome a couple times we decided to stay in Civitavecchia. My expectations of the town were low but we were really pleasantly surprised. There was lots going on and loads of lovely cafes bars and restaurants. We stayed at Casa Sul Mare which I could not recommend highly enough. We had pre booked a taxi service via them from airport and also back to the airport post cruise. We paid 130 euros each way, which actually turned out to be a great shout, most people we spoke to who had hopped in a car at the airport paid 200+ Cruise Day We headed out around 10.30 took the 5 minute walk to the port shuttle bus. Within 10 minutes we were on the free shuttle and 5 minutes later we were at bag drop. Check in was a breeze and we were on the ship just after 11. Thanks for the info on Civitavecchia and Casa Sul Mare. We took the Odyssey TA this year to Rome and loved it so we booked a B2B next year first doing the Holy Land and then the TA back to Florida. We’ve been to Rome enough times we decided we didn’t want to stay again, so we book the Casa Sul Mare and also plan to book the taxi service they recommended. We were worried there was nothing there to do for the couple of days we’ll be there. Is there any places you recommend we should see while there? You mentioned it was only a 5 minute walk to the bus that brings us to the ship? This trip we took the bus from the ship to the train station, as we spent some time in Lucca before going back to Rome.
  18. We also use the white noise App AND foam ear plugs. Between that and the gentle rocking I sleep like a baby on a ship
  19. I remember we always used all the E tickets and sometimes had books leftover with just the A ones.
  20. Thanks Ken. I had assumed that the COR was to be used if the pre cruise test showed positive. So he won’t even need to test?
