  1. If your cabin or any other Cunard staff find it they will hand it in with a cabin no etc..We found a credit card in the safe so you can imagine how many people leave things behind. Not preaching but when you get angry over the phone the other person will turn off, just human behavior! I would have every confidence if it was found by staff it will be in lost property also If you booked through a Travel Agent they may know how to fast track your concerns.
  2. Did you bring this to the attention of the Bar Manager or Hotel Manager? if passengers are not proactive nothing changes.
  3. Why do you bring the Freemasons into you dress code? if you are not a Mason how do you know how they dress.
  4. Oh dear some one has taken over my job in the Dress Code Police Dept and I am very very happy!
  5. Thank you for not dressing down, the world has changed and I hope Cunard will not give in too much with the dress code. On the Q E in May dress night was very appropriate, I believe it is not only for yourself but out of respect for the crew..
  6. Food is subjective and I was not on your cruise, again I stress that if you are not happy on board it is important to bring your grievances to the appropriate staff on board. One of the many reasons we cruise Cunard is they listen and are proactive, on our last cruise we had a few issues and If they were not brought to the attention of senior staff we could have had a cruise we did not enjoy, instead everything was sorted out in the usual professional Cunard way and of course we had a great cruise. The following comments are not directed to you but it is much easier to complain than be proactive without being rude and bring it to the attention of staff on board.
  7. Thank you for your reply this is one of the coach tours we are looking at.
  8. Thank you everyone, we have been to NYC and to tell you the truth my wife and I have worked it out that it would take us a good 6 months to see the great city. A day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Police museum,, Ellis Island Museum, full day at Ground Zero Memorial .........But what takes up so much of our time is asking locals for directions or just striking up a conversation in the City Library. They say the Irish can talk and so can the New Yorkers and we love every minute of it. Having seen little of the suburbs Little Italy. Hells Kitchen, Harlem ........ we have decided to try a Cunard City Tour as we are only in for the day.
  9. Has anyone taken a Cunard Excursion in New York, we are doing a transatlantic round trip from Southampton.
  10. Anyone traveled Transatlantic CABIN 8047 and would you recommend disembarking Southampton to Heathrow same day for Longhaul flight around 10PM
  11. So easy you just open your mouth and politely bring it up with say the Head Waiter or F&BM that is why we travel Cunard, they listen and act!
  12. Can I let you into a secret when I see no tables cleared or drink machines empty, I become proactive and go looking for staff especially on the first boarding day, this way I do not become a Victim and I guarantee it works!
  13. Complementary bus to every port we visited on our Japan cruise. Enjoy!
  14. Yes, polo neck or casual shirt with a collar. Enjoy!
  15. Queen Elizabeth will finish in Vancouver, it is 25 minutes to International Airport, have you checked any flights out that day be surprised if Air Canada had not a flight to London. We were at the airport a week ago and no problems from bush fires.
  16. I book through Cunard direct for Cruises, airlines and hotels myself. If you are not that experienced I suggest a good Travel Agent experienced in cruising and tell them what you want i.e pay for an upgrade if they are released cheaper nearer sailing time. Good luck and enjoy!
  17. Thank goodness there are none, bad enough looking in an ordinary mirror when you get my age! My wife brings her own.
  18. We had breakfast most days in our PG room always filled in breakfast card as the hard working staff are always busy and never wanted to ring at that time, having said that you certainly can call like a hotel and anything special let them know the night before. After a few small hiccups we had great room service always on time speak from experience as we eat mostly in our room.
  19. If you feel like tipping a musician please do so, no one sees me tipping as I am discrete. .
