  1. no. It's not even worth it to us to us to get Princess Plus, let alone a much more expensive Princess Premium.
  2. mine have already arrived and I posted the photos of my DH's and my wrists with the band on them in the quoted thread.
  3. I shop at Sam's. Have never seen Princess cards either in person, or online. I get my Princess cards from Chase with the reward points... I hope they don't have expiration dates, because I got a couple of them last year and a couple this year.
  4. when and where are you sailing? If it's still within the winter break, there will be MANY kids.
  5. not all. 🙂 Allure doesn't have waterslides.
  6. has she cruised with you before on RCI? Our DS is 11 and he was assigned his number on his very first cruise with RCI at 3. It shows up on some invoices and doesn't on others, but he has the same status as we do, even though he has fewer cruises.
  7. it was like that for us in June (reservations for MTD for 6:30), but we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes, except for the first formal night - that one was a good 25-30 minutes. The service was acceptably speedy, except for one waiter team, who was like molasses. I think a lot of waiters were out sick or just didn't exist, names on the table holders didn't match, and many different waiters took orders and brought out food.
  8. they drive like maniacs, and are not exempt from the laws of physics. You will forever regret it if you get in an accident with your unrestrained kids. Our taxi driver once drove off while I was buckling the kid into his car seat, while standing OUTSIDE of the taxi. I had to yell... What car seats do you have at home? Are you purchasing a separate seat on the plane for your 1 yo or is he/she going to be a lap baby? How tall and heavy is your 3 yo?
  9. They are here! Very cute and smooth silicone, but the previous posters were right - beware of sizing. Definitely go with another vendor who sells a larger size band unless you are buying them for a dainty lady, small/skinny man, or a preteen/child. They'll fit my 11 yo big boy (5'1, >100#), but on my wrist it had to be on the last punch and it was borderline tight. I am a large woman with non-dainty wrists - 7.5" min, and I will have to buy one for myself from a different vendor. The only reason I went with this vendor is because at the time it was the only one that sold two different camo colors in the same package. Others followed suit AFTER I purchased it. For my kid, but I am modeling it: Oh, hubs woke up just in time to model - it actually fits him better, he is 6'1, but athletic (skinny build, <200#), so you could call him a large man, but it wouldn't be true for this particular review: Here is what we used in 2019:
  10. I hope my 11 yo will fully appreciate it. 🙂 He and DH were truly bored during Mama Mia!, which is weird. I understand being bored by Cats... He has seen many other musicals/musical productions on NCL, Princess and RCI, and loved them all. I didn't take him to Grease on Harmony last year, though - it was not appropriate for him. However, a very risque musical on NCL went way over his head at 7 yo. 🙂 DS was, however, dismayed the people smoking on stage. thanks, I'll have to bring an extra night light. I am night blind, and I actually fell on the Allure while trying to navigate my way into the bathroom in the middle of the night. Harmony had a built-in night light in the bathroom, so I didn't bring one when we sailed on the Allure.
  11. that's a very good point. They are arriving today, and with amazon we can always send them back for free.
  12. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0B97P8MLP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 I've just ordered these for my DH and DS. Blue camo for DS, green camo for DH. I'll use the clip we used back in 2019.... If we like these bands, I'll buy another one for myself. I like the confetti color.
  13. I too got an offer to bid on a standard obstructed balcony - none are available and haven't been available for a while. But there is plenty of deluxe obstructed balconies - that'll be fine as well, but DS won't be happy without a pullman bed.
  14. mine didn't potty train till 3y4m, so he went on his first cruise with us after that. 🙂 There is no way he would have been potty trained at 2. 🙂 Royal Caribbean ships all the way. You can look into getting 2 cabins with 4 ppl in each. Kind of very crowded, but since each cabin may need to have an adult - you may not have a choice. Sometimes the cruiselines run kids sail free promotions - definitely look into that. Since it's their first cruise - they may not need all the bells and whistles, but I strongly recommend staying away from old small ships. RCI has some older, but AMPed ships - bells and whistles galore - would be a go for me. Most of KSF promotions aren't offered during school breaks, but since you homeschool - it won't matter. Before DS was in school, we liked cruising during the first 2 weeks of December - cheaper and out of the hurricane season. MSC is mostly very affordable and often runs a Kids Sail free promotion.
  15. the bare minimum - $150 pp for an obstructed balcony from the inside. I am thinking - $300 is a fare price difference - I am sure that if the difference had been $300 from the beginning, I'd get a balcony to begin with.
  16. that's if it's reported. So many now do not report... And walk around with no mask because "it's just a cold now." we did in June on the Allure. It was just fine, except for rampant coughing and sneezing, and, of course, we got Covid on it. We are "looking forward" to getting Covid again on our very full Thanksgiving Enchanted cruise. 😞
  17. I would NOT want to be moved to another inside. When I pick an inside, I pick what I want. If I pay for an upgrade to an outside cabin, I am expecting to get an outside cabin.
  18. were all three appropriate for 10-11 yo children, please? Excellent review, by the way, thank you!
  19. oh, so you weren't actually eating the food - just looking at the pics? The food presentation was good on our Getaway cruise, but the food itself was mostly inedible. I'll take RCI's MDR food over NCL's any time.
  20. did I mention that my mom who is 71 is in better physical shape than I am at 48? However, my dad can barely walk at 74. Some of our Princess excursions' limits are set for between 12 and 65. That would exclude our 11 yo who is a size of a smallish adult male. But do you see me stomping my foot in frustration? No, we can do these same excursions by ourselves - walk up to the water fall and drive through a botanical garden - and it will cost us a lot less and we won't be packed like sardines on an excursion bus.
  21. so am I. Since the cruise planner populated with excursions and other things, it's always been the same price - $133 for the water park. We are 60 days out. Last year it stayed at $99 all the way until 2 days before the cruise when it dropped to $78.
  22. $133 pp was there from the very beginning for my cruise.
