  1. because it leaves us (the actual 3 people) with nothing to choose from. That sofa is the 3rd bed. There are few cabins that sleep 3...
  2. we got an email about the same party on our Enchanted Thanksgiving cruise. So, yeah, it's rolling out! Let’s party in honor of The Real Love Boat launch Dear valued guest, If you love The Love Boat or the '80s, you've got another reason to love your cruise on Enchanted Princess®. We're celebrating the debut of the new TV show The Real Love Boat! That means themed activities, photo ops, merch and more. But we're telling you RIGHT NOW because you need to throw a few white-and-gold clothes that evoke the '80s into that suitcase you're packing so you can join the debut of our Love Boat Piazza Party. It takes place on the second formal night of your voyage - so dress to impress and enjoy the fun: live music from the pop band and dancing interactive game show hosted by your cruise director and Fortuna Luck special food & drinks, including the "Love Potion" cocktail
  3. ours is so dang expensive, I hope there are no last second unvaxxed people on it.
  4. which is identical to the old 2019 Thanksgiving menu we had on Regal... Except we also had seared sole and some kind of beef tenderloin that day in 2019...
  5. my 11 yo was always sick with something in preschool and kindy. It got better in 1st grade. And it had nothing to do with the pandemic. Right now RSV, covid, flu, cold and strep are making their rounds...
  6. oh, yum! And my DH will love Gnocchi. I think they were pumpkin flavored back in 2019. We always sail during Thanksgiving. 🙂 I do it to escape hostess duties. Yes, there will be lots of kids. Including mine. But he is very well behaved. I found my menu post from our Thanksgiving Cruise in 2019: looks more limited this year (Thanksgiving Dinner, that is)
  7. super necessary if you are on an Alaska or European cruise, imho, but if you are just going to the beach in the Caribbean - nope. Mine gave up his stroller at 14 months, so I am no help. I'd, however, bring a stroller and NEXT instead of a dolly and Next. This combination will be a lot more versatile to use. A couple of good links: https://community.babycenter.com/groups/a10635/traveling_with_children photos of kids traveling in car seats (not in cars) - https://community.babycenter.com/groups/a6680085/traveling_with_children_photos and this is how we traveled with our no back booster: Harmony Juvenile (very close to Cosco Rise). If your 5 yo is over 40# and at least average height, you could look into Bubblebum. It's an inflatable booster which has a 40# min and does have a good seat belt fit on children over 40#. We didn't travel extensively, so a $13 Cosco Rise/Harmony Youth/Juvenile booster which doesn't deflate was a good option for us a couple of times a year. And t
  8. you know it will. But by this time the cruise industry just wants to make money, so they don't care.
  9. no, we usually use forward cabins, like E332. I hate aft balconies. The inside cabins for 3 are also all over the place, not just aft.
  10. are you bringing a car seat for the 2 yo? if you are going to take taxis, I recommend Cosco Scenera NEXT as a rear facing only seat. For the 5 yo you could get away with using a no back booster like Cosco Rise or Harmony Juvenile.
  11. come on. They are super-duper busy getting the special holiday menu ready for thousands of people, and you want them to cook something completely different by special request? What if the other, say, thousand passengers also have their special requests put in for that night?
  12. and also doubtful that they would serve such specifically Southern items on a Hawaiian cruise.
  13. which in turn means that those of us actually traveling as 3 passengers are out of luck, because the only cabins we can book are booked by a couple with a fake 3rd person...
  14. boarding on 11/19 and will wear masks whenever we are inside as well (10 days). However, we found out the hard way that if you are the only ones wearing masks - they do not help as much as you hope. We got covid on our RCI Allure cruise this June (but our DS11 didn't)... A lot of the crew has also disappeared during that sailing (waiters, MDR hostess, etc.) We'll still wear them, though, at least to prolong our covid-free time on the ship, even though wearing them mostly protects those around us, and not necessarily US.
  15. did you order the medallion? what exactly do you mean by "not accept"?
  16. that's not how upgrades work. They will not upgrade as cabins become available, and if they have more than one bidder for the same cabin, why would you think YOU would win the bid? Also, for our upcoming cruise, even the cheapest balcony is almost the same price per person as I paid for all three of us in an inside. I paid $2,500 for all three of us, and right now balcony is $2,200 pp. So, my $150 pp bid from inside to balcony does not equal "an honest price for that cabin".
  17. did you check that you agree to receive email communications on the app and the website (your profile)? I didn't get my bid invites until I did that. Also, if you and your cruise are eligible, you will see this when you log in to manage your cruise under the Booking Summary:
  18. the chicken fingers were too fancy for my 10 yo. He hated them. And they didn't have honey mustard in MDR. He also hated spaghetti bolognese. Pizza at Sorento was way better than in MDR. He disliked the pepperonis on MDR pizza very much. DS loves Sorento pizza. He liked spaghetti marinara and grilled cheese at MDR. See if yours likes anything from the regular menu - mine liked some things, like cheese tortellini (loved them). Fancy chicken fingers: Pizza came with fries as a side. Oddly.
  19. I would double check your current cabin assignment asap.
  20. are you in a cabin for 2 or more? Looks like there are some balconies left for 2, but not for 3...
  21. well, our Thanksgiving Enchanted cruise doesn't have any non-deluxe balconies left for 3 people, so I don't think my bid (inside to balcony) will be accepted... And it only has literally a handful of deluxe balcony cabins left. Everything else is sold out (inside, mini, suites).
  22. the bid email says that if you don't pay for the bid because you don't like the location, you will go back to your original cabin.
  23. on one sailing we had $500 OBC for the 5 of us (that's a lot - never had that much before), so we still had $50 left by the end of the cruise. I didn't realize that it could be used for tips, so I set out to spend it - I bought a lovely collection of 5 trial size bottles of Versace perfumes. You could use them for Christmas/birthday presents if you don't want them for yourself.
