So glad you made it on, Steve. Enjoy your cruise.

They call here also, not every day though.

Cruise Critic does not have a PM feature.
Do you know why this is?

Thanks guys. Brother did have to go to the hospital because he has a pacemaker , but he was in less than a day. They are now thankfully on the mend.
I'm wondering if we should get out to stock up on non perishables in case we all get locked down!

Thank you so much OP for taking time to clue us all in. I watched you leave and saw those morons sailing so close to the Silhouette. Do you know if they get ticketed for this crazy behaviour?
Your pictures are lovely and that meal with the Lobster and Beef Wellington nearly had me drooling on the keyboard!
I do hope the ABC islands will open for you.

FYI. I just cancelled our 4/24/22 Equinox 12 night Caribbean cruise. Just sent my TA the email so if anybody wants and Aft S-1 Corner Suite...it will become available as soon as she takes care of this for us.
Too much hassle to go on a cruise for us right now.
How thoughtful of you to give the category of your cabin so that anyone reading here would get first dibs on it. Might be tempting for us since it sails on my birthday but we will already be on the Eclipse (if it sails).
Hope things calm down for all of us so that travelling stops becoming such a nightmare.

I don't understand why you would want to pay more for AQ and then eat in the MDR. Keep your sweet sixteen (Celebrity is now going to start charging more for these balconies, calling them deluxe balconies) and spend your savings on speciality restaurants.
Whatever you decide, I hope you are happy with your decision and that you have a great cruise.

My brother and his wife both got sick last week, tested positive and both are triple vaxxed. Scary.

Fried bread is fairly common in the UK. We used to have it all the time. Bread was just fried in bacon grease. I have seen it on Celebrity but always pass it by as it looks really oily. Maybe I should try it.
My favorite breakfast on a cruise ship is corned beef hash with a side of crisp bacon.

We didn't like it as much as Blu.

Merry Christmas to all and a very happy New Year with a return to cruising.

I’d be careful of this when flying. It’s the checkin agent that needs your ArriveCAN QR code - not the customs agent. Customs didn’t even ask for our ArriveCAN. If it was me I would still bring a printed copy if I didn’t have it on my phone.
Thank you for your advice. We still do the print out every time. I'm sure you are absolutely right about check in at the airport as we had to designate which border crossing we were using. We won't be flying out of YVR till end of July, so hopefully things will be better by then.

Thank you and the same to you. Hoping our April plans go ahead, but who knows?

marieps has said it like I would. We also stay in AQ and we always do self disembarkation. The big secret is to get to the area of disembarkation in the first few people, maybe an hour ahead as marie said. Then you're on your way quickly.
Have a great cruise and Happy Holidays to you.

I didn't receive the PUP survey either but did receive the year in review. I wish Celebrity would be more consistent.

Thank you so much for all your great tips.
While we could take advantage of the relaxation of the PCR test needed on return to Canada for trips under 72 hours, we drove down to the US 4 times!! We printed out our ArriveCan (can they not manage to make it simpler?) and presented it when crossing into Canada. The border guard told us, as Nexus people, we don't have to print it because it is already in their system when you submit it. He could see it on his screen. Hopefully this will apply at the airport also. We won't be flying till May, sadly.
I bet all the agents you had to deal with, to and from the cruise, loved your organizational skills! We always seem to get behind the people who are like deer in the headlights and have nothing ready.
Happy Holidays to you all.

That is my worst nightmare too. I didn't know they tested throughout the cruise.

When I found this board, there were only 3 threads. I have been following it ever since and find it very valuable for info useful to we Canadians.

Thank you everyone for answering my question. What a great bunch you are.😊

We haven't sailed for nearly 2 years so things may have changed but I was always surprised by how few people were in the Oceanview for the tea. We loved it.

I did get the email after my earlier post. I earned 36 points. I never did any of the social media ones.
-
Haven't received this year in review either. I did get 2 more points.

I am not an Oceania cruiser (sadly) but just want to ask a question about B2B cruises on Oceania. Do they give a discount in the form of an OBC based on the number of days of each leg? I am asking for someone who is sailing with Oceania on their first cruise. For instance Azamara gives $400 for each leg 9 days or more and less for shorter ones. Sorry for my intrusion.
So where did they find the 7 missing passengers? In the lifeboats?
Sorry OP that you were disappointed with the procedure. We find even on the same cruise line it is often handled differently. One time we even got a special lunch put on just for us. B2Bers.

We'd be happy with this since we already have the booster.

Azamara Cruisers - How are things where YOU are

We are living in a deep freeze here in Vancouver. We are setting new records every day. We are trying to keep our hummingbirds alive by swapping the feeders every hour or so. Even though I have increased the proportion of sugar to water, it still freezes very quickly.
Happy New Year everybody.
