I don't know about your decision.  Do you think you can tolerate watching this all day?

DH is wondering why dinner is not ready but I told him I had ordered room service so we could enjoy the wake.  So real I thought I was on a ship.........Thanks for posting.

Supposed to be for AQ Class guests, and for use as a spa appt waiting rm.

But  the rules are not usually enforced and folks wander in at will...even those who know the rules.  Some spa staff are better than others for checking,...some ships keep it  locked.

The ones that drop in, take over, and chatter ruin the experience!

It's a  designated asa quiet space..supposedly! Also annoying are  those in the  thermal suite who fall asleep on loungers and Snore!

I forgot to say we usually book Aqua.  Is there not a suggested length of time for occupancy?   The snorers are great aren't they?  Love the sleepers in the window seats at Al Baccio too but this is getting off topic, sorry.😔

  3. I definitely sympathise with you, cruiser.  You have been the victim of personnel not properly trained.  I really think this is another "gift" of COVID.  The good people have left or been let go and been replaced by people who will tell you the first thing that comes into their minds, correct or incorrect.  I don't know why some on this thread are saying you rolled the dice.  You were told you had to book a GUARANTEE because the cabins had not yet been freed up for booking by number.

I also agree with the poster who told you they should assign you to a suite for all your grief over this booking.  Planning a cruise should be fun not a headache.

We have been sailing with Celebrity for almost 30 years too and I am getting fed up.  Hate those 2 hour waits on the phone and don't even get me started on their web site.

I am really looking forward to your post about how they have resolved this mess and I wish you the best cruise ever.

  4. I agree with Laura.  Those 5 aft cabins on deck 11 are great, but they get booked very quickly.  1140 has the biggest balcony.  We have been in three of them.  If smoking bothers you, it is best to stay away from 1133 and 1141 as there is cigar smoking at the 0ceanview bar below.

The strangest and wildest White Night was in March 2020 when we were stranded on Azamara Pursuit at the official beginning of the pandemic.  The whole world was shutting down and we were partying.  Rather surreal.

We were the other ship (Eclipse) sailing circles outside of San Antonio in Mar 2020. pleading for docking.   We felt lonely when you guys sailed away.  Now, here you are sailing on Celebrity for the first time and we are booked to sail on Azamara for the first time and really looking forward to it.

I think you can usually get a discount on a Speciality restaurant the first night.  We are already booked that way for the Lawn Club Grill.

  6. We have used the land border twice last week and thinking of going again today.  We had a ton of stuff in our PO box and divided it up so as not to exceed the limit we were bringing back and therefore, avoid GST etc.

We have Nexus and that's all we needed going south.  Coming back we had completed and printed our ArriveCAN and the border guard told us we didn't need to do that.  Since we are Nexus holders, when we completed the ArriveCAN on-line, it appeared on the guard's computer.  You do have to complete an ArriveCAN every time you cross.

We haven't filled in a Travellers Declaration card at the land border forever as we see to it we do not exceed the limit.  If you do exceed the limit, then you get sent in to the office where you give your info and pay whatever you owe.

We use the land border about every two weeks for shopping etc.

  7. I hope we didn't do the wrong thing by booking Vancouver to Hawaii in April on Eclipse last week.  I suppose we can fly back non stop from Honolulu on Air Canada and avoid going into SFO by choosing United.  i worry our Norwegian Fjords cruise won't sail as it starts in Dublin and ends in Amsterdam.  Both places are grim at the moment.
