  1. Just watched a few videos of QG bathroom. Some may say I'm picky but shower does look a bit small. Looks very hard to stand back as you turn it on and stay dry until it warms up. Like a walkin shower with controls not under the shower head. Picky yes but this is QG.
  2. The solution to facing wall in QG , is to make it a mirrored wall , will also make room seem wider.
  3. first port of call is a well known English saying for the first place I would go.
  4. Given only 825 in theatre, may have to follow big ships and have 3 shows a night. Perhaps with pre booking via app
  5. Yes , never thought when I said first port of call, meant first port of call ie first thing I would do, would be a shop to...... This is one advantage that was never discussed of buying air tickets via Cunard. Although the airline would be the one legally responsible to reimburse you, there would a moral responsibility for Cunard to be accommodating as their agent had caused problem.
  6. Completely agree, but not sure about rented clothes . First port of call would be one of well known shops to buy the basics, underwear , nightwear, shirts , for a week ...... A tux would be bottom of list.
  7. In general looks nice , glad they made it a modern ship not a pastiche 50s liner. Faults QG, Restaurant for seatstwo, shower in QG too small. Grills terrace seems heavy on chairs and tables light on sunbeds. Still worry about grills terrace becoming a walk wayfrom front to back
  8. Completely agree, I can't sit on banquette, also I would feel obliged not toletmy wife sit facing wall, she like to see what's going on. So will not be cruising QG on Queen Anne
  9. Two observations The Q5s look very similar to all suite cabins in other new ships. Pity couldnt see shower as I like a large walkin, with space to get out of way till it warms up. Looks smallish in the cabin plan. Why aren't videos for all cabins (and other areas) or better really good 3D tours available on Cunard Website
  10. Depends, ours was pretty quick , 30 mins , coming from UK. If you are coming from East most likely done SA immigration in Durba.
  11. I was thinking firstly about the hospitality lounge. But also promise for full suites of being whisked through. Which of course can't happen if there is only one priority queue with a 1000 people in it. Earlier arrival time doesn't lead to Earlier boarding if there is a big bottle neck of too many with priority.
  12. What time do you normally arrive, what is the process like, do you have to wait long
  13. Clearly P&O should update its website, promises made on website come under advertising code of practice, ie they must be upheld not just hyperbole.
  14. It says on Peninsula club documents on website that Caribbean, and Baltic have priority boarding at 1pm and that Ligurian has priority but earlier at 12.30. It says on website under suites that full suites board FIRST with Ligurian and both have access to hospitality lounge. Therefore no-one without priority boarding should have 12.30. If they do then unless priority boarding groups are earlier they don't have their promised priority.
  15. So unless those with high teir status were given 12.00 and suites and Ligurian 11.30 they system is going to pot
  16. Don't need a name for stock control. Most probably a hangover from the pre all inclusive days. Perhaps (I'm joking) there is a secret algorithm to identify potential drunks
  17. Suites , mini suites, Caribbean, Baltic and Ligurian all have priority boarding. That can be a lot of people. So if too many have priority no one has priority. Theoretically only Full Suites and Ligurian should have a 12.30pm boarding time , rest should have 1.00pm. However that is Theoretical and if staff let everyone with priority check-in when they arrive , and go to the front of the the priority queue , then the promise by P&O for full suites, which literally says "we will whisk you through Embarkation before the other guests" is meaningless. I wait to see, but expect chaos.
  18. A top end seafood restaurant on all ships
  19. To quote Victor Meldrew you can't believe it !!! . I bet they were complaining that it was cold they should be let in
  20. Hopefully they will move to this in stages. It won't benefit passengers as you will just have to book ASAP as it opens 120 days ahead rather than 14 days ahead. Doesn't generate any more availability. Just helps P&O cash flow.
  21. You will not get wet , but suites onb15 have more shade from above than lower decks
  22. Basically there is no dress code for women, except for the, not shorts ir swim wear rule, they can wear what they deem appropriate. This works . Perhaps cunard think men are inherently lazier (clothes wise) and scruffier, may be quite rightly
  23. One thing that have been argued about are very clear. Jackets are completely optional, and not included in dress code
  24. The Cunard dress code is absolutely clear Smart attire simply means a dress shirt and trousers
