Delivering a Webcast while onboard
Sea Dog replied to CarolGS's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Starlink is indeed up and running on the ship. Depending on your location the signal strength may vary. Check out my review for some of the speed tests I did on board. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2887375-sea-dog-is-live-with-life-on-liberty-and-the-pursuit-of-happiness-in-the-mdr-10-16/ -

Do lobster night in the MDR with the Chops steak upgrade. Oh so tasty. Best meal I had all week. -
I won my RoyalUp bid! Balcony to Grand Suite!

Congratulations! That's one nice upgrade. Nice to know that one can bid slightly over minimum and win. -
Congratulations on a clean bill of health. Great way to celebrate with a really good meal. Time for a Kraken run! I did not know that you can do that on the phone and get notified by your watch. What setting do you turn on to notify? I did a blunder on Liberty last week. Had my phone on the bar at R-bar and then got up to leave. I was walking down the hallway to my cabin when I felt my pocket and there was no phone. I panicked and ran down to the bar. The bartender smiled and said I knew you would be back I watched over it for you. Whew! I would hate to lose a brand new iPhone .

Wi-Fi on the Symphony of the seas
Sea Dog replied to cruisinelmo's topic in Royal Caribbean International
8550. I did not have a problem in the cabin. It was in the various specialty restaurants that I went to that I would get knocked off and have to re log in to Cruise Critic. Some times the Solarium had issues. -
Stay tuned. Working on it. With my blood pressure med I get up about every two hours to go to the bathroom. That's why I usually sleep for 7-9 hours. I like the air tags. Are they exact? No but for the most part they can give you some peace of mind when traveling. Funny thing on the ship every time I left the cabin I got a notice that my luggage was left behind.

Please no more injuries. I'm glad you didn't dislocate and break your shoulder like me. -
Wi-Fi on the Symphony of the seas
Sea Dog replied to cruisinelmo's topic in Royal Caribbean International
In September on Symphony it was hit and miss. Sometimes my connection would disappear and I would have to reconnect. Sometimes my uploads to CC would stall out. I think for what you are trying to do you should be fine. Just make sure you are in a good signal area of the ship and stay there while communicating. -
That was my first T-shirt. Story behind it. My first cruise on adventure of the seas and we were eating breakfast. I saw a man with another Sea Dog tee and throu thought logo was the coolest thing I’d ever seen because of my love of dogs and pirates. The perfect combo. So I asked to take a picture of his shirt and asked where he got it. I found the company and purchased about every shirt they made. I wanted to change my screen name to Sea Dog but Cruise Critic said there was already a screen name by that name. I looked up the name and noticed that the only difference was that the other member had not capitalized the “s” and “d” and that they had not posted for over 8 years. I contacted CC and pleaded my case for the name change and it was granted. The person who runs the Sea Dog company knows me as one of his best single customers. I’m trying to work on a new logo and design for me so that I don’t fudge the copyright lines but needless to say I’m a walking promo for his company.

I wish he could come over and fix ours. about 3 weeks ago it stopped dispensing water. We thought filter so ordered a new one still no water or ice. We thought the line could be frozen so we raised the temperature still no water or ice. Now I think it could be the part that opens and shuts the valve to let water go up into the ice maker. Linda has ordered a part and we will see if we can install it ourselves. Considering the fridge is 10 years old and works great except for the problem. I'm not crazy about buying a new one.
