  1. Not yet. We will leave early Friday morning at 5am maybe earlier if I can get Linda to agree. Just finishing up chores getting house clean for dog sitter and waiting on my new iPhone 14 Max Pro to get delivered today.
  2. Those look amazing. I wonder though if the green water is natural or enhanced in editing. Wow that place looks amazing. Love the smoked old fashioned. The Salmon on top of the roll is a big chunk. And that chocolate dessert. I’m writing this place down.
  3. Great pics. Happy two months!! Did you get your second booster? We got ours a couple of weeks ago. We had no side effects at all.
  4. Awesome! You should buy about a 100 of these. Who needs a flask anymore????
  5. I finally got it figured out. Yes keeping everything organized will make life a lot easier. It looks like my view count is going into the toilet. 😜😜😜
  6. I think the fact that we don't have to worry about the weight of our luggage, going through security screenings. Waiting for flights, waiting at the gate. Sub par snacks and drinks, driving will be really refreshing. Now ask me that after we've driven over 700 miles and 12 hours I might have a different answer. The Live review will cover a lot of our experience driving and the two nights in Galveston. Yes I have heard that from a good friend of mine who was a flight attendant for a lot of years. She retired from flying and said it was the best thing she ever did. Thank you John for the great idea. I've never used folders and albums on the phone before but you are right, that is a great way of organizing. I just now made a folder and will then put pics in subfolders.
  7. What a mixture of emotions you will experience. I am sorry about your beloved mom. I will be thinking of you. So sorry Lenny. Time to get a new doctor. You need one that is compassionate. 8 hours and 36 minutes sounds a lot better than 12 hours. I will be interested in adding up the cost fill ups and food and see how it compares to flying. I think it will still be cheaper driving but flying from KC is only a couple of hours. George that is so nice of you. I know we will be cruising out of Galveston more with the new terminal and larger Oasis ships leaving so It will not be the last time we drive down there. I think breaking it with a stop in Dallas would be nice and I'm sure I would love your favorite watering hole. I'm so sorry to hear about you mother. I know it must be hard. When we had Hospice for my mother, it was a god send. They were so helpful and compassionate. It really put me at ease. I will be thinking of you and hoping that your mother finally gets the peace she deserves. Boy I can relate on Explorer. The internet was basically non existent. Makes the price of surf and stream a rip off. Starlink will help. Some people currently on Liberty say it's installed but not up and running. I would sure like to know when they will turn it on. Probably wishful thinking on my part for next week. Thank you. I am now not so optimistic. Apple say's it should be delivered next Wednesday while I'm on our cruise. UPS the carrier say's this Thursday but right now the package is in South Korea. I have a hard time believing that it will go from South Korea to Kansas City in 24 hours.
  8. Well it's going to be down to the wire. I was hoping when I heard the news of a new iPhone 14Pro Max with it's 48 mega pixels camera I could get one before my Liberty sailing this weekend. I ordered it but was told that they would not ship until after I would have left. Now it seems that it has shipped. Apple say it will arrive while on the cruise. UPS the carrier says I should get it by this Thursday before 7PM. I've got me fingers crossed that it comes on Thursday before we leave early Friday morning. It would be nice to do a Live review with the new iPhone and its new camera. The only problem will be uploading the raw photos because each photo could be 50-100mb's. So we shall see.
  9. Thank you Dani for starting what has become my daily routine. I really enjoy reading what everyone is doing and what is going on with their lives. It takes the me out of life and replaces it with we. Yikes. I hope to nap while Linda is driving to avoid that. Great advice. If you hear someone honking it will be me.😉 Ouch so sorry you having pain. I hope you get relief soon.
  10. Thanks for your comments. One of the reasons why we are leaving so early is to avoid rush hour in Dallas. I am hoping everything will go smooth.
  11. I think in the future we will do that. Airfare has been crazy. Since we are doing two cruises in two months we decided to go cheap on the second one.
  12. We may end up regretting doing it in one shot but we figured it's worth a try. We will probably sail out og Galveston again. If it's too much we will split it up over two days.
  13. We fly SW out of Kansas City mainly because there are a lot of flights. Downside is there are usually no nonstops and you have to put up with cattle call boarding and everyone being crammed into seats. I do like the cheap fares for the most part and bags fly free.
  14. Yes I have heard about the BBQ at Buc-ee’s and want to try it. Staying at the Beach Front Palms on Seawall. I hope the food will be good too. That fastest route gets us there in under 12 hours. We plan on leaving at 5am and figuring with gas stops and potty breaks to arrive between 6pm and 7pm. Going to switch driving between Linda and I every 3-4 hours. It will be tough but we have never done a drive that long and want to see how we handle it. I agree. One of the best Filets I’ve ever had. Much better than Jamie’s. Thanks I will check it out. Already on my list for Friday evening cocktails. I like the fact they have a tiki bar there too. Yes and the filet is incredible.
  15. Yay! I will look forward to reading that. Thanks! I am looking forward to my first experience at Buc-ee's on the drive down.
  16. Thanks Andrew for the great review and taking us along on your adventure. Mariner is one ship that I have wanted to sail on. So glad your first cruise post pandemic went so well. It's only going to get better from here on. I can't wait to hear about your holiday cruise. I have thought about doing one but not sure yet. Until next time, Cheers!
  17. Countdown is on! This week we pack and get ready to leave Thursday for the road trip down to Galveston. Live review will start the day before on Wednesday. Doing some laundry and ironing today as Linda is running errands. I got my hopes up as someone on the FB group page reported that Starlink is installed on Liberty but after investigating it people are not seeing any increased speeds so that tells me even though parts of it are installed it has yet to turned on or they are testing and throttling back the data streams. We will see. It would help my review if they had it up and running. Any way I hope you all join me. I will try and not let you down. I was so happy that my Symphony review got viewed over 20K times. I don't think this one will be as interesting in that we are only eating in the MDR. So far people have reported the food is bad. We will see.
