  1. If you are ringing them try at 8.30am have a great time.
  2. Even Dick Turpin had the good grace to wear a mask.🙂
  3. We went in August and the first port was Bergen and it rained all day heavily . In Stavanger we stopped for a coffee at a harbourside cafe very nice but the coffee was served out of a flask, no milk, no sugar no spoons and cost 9 Euros each, we got up and left when they did not return with milk or sugar and had a Costa on the ship. Take a mixture of clothes for warm, cold and wet and brollies. The fjords are lovely but do take plenty of euros or take bottles of water and snacks off the ship if on a tight budget.
  4. We just got a voucher on Azura and also the Epicurian restaurant is currently closed which disappointed a number of people.
  5. I was in the virtual bog when this important new development came to light.😄
  6. This site may help you have an informed choice. https://www.cruisemummy.co.uk/po-iona-cabins/
  7. Yes it is BUT our biggest disappointment is that they no longer provide a daily sheet with a map and details of the ports you are visiting. On Azura you can still pick up a daily news sheet and crossword/Sudoku sheet just to the right of the customer service desk.. The port info on the app is pretty useless so we use this site for info at the ports. https://www.whatsinport.com/
  8. You Wozz robbed .....How Much!
  9. Perhaps you need to join by Tender if unable to dock in the port🙂
  10. Sagrada Familia is a fair walk from where the shuttle bus drops off. We got a taxi back and it cost 12 euros (metred) last october. Ask for a rough price with driver it was probably a good 40 minute walk to las ramblas from the ship where we docked , not recommended.
  11. Just to clarify, i meant the Duty free at the port NOT the airport. You get off the bus at the port and go into a tunnel where they check some documents and then you go through the duty free, drinks are over on the far right in fridges then you go through a bag check and then onto the ship where you are told to go to your muster point so you know where it is and then you go to your cabin i seem to remember to get your room key card and watch safety video on tv then go for food. Have a great time.
  12. Our experience a few weeks ago was luggage in 15 minutes , 5 mins to coach, 10 mins on coach, then 20 mins to port. TIP buy yourself some bottles of water and soft drinks in the duty free going through. Prices not cheaper in local shops and you can take as many soft drinks as you want on. We got 6 bottles of coke, 2 bottles of water and 4 cans of beer to put in our fridge. No problem. Going back to the airport there are roadworks that caused about a 20 minute delay. Not sure they will hold dinner in the restaurant but the Buffet is open. The Meridian restaurant (deck 5 midships) opens 30 mins after the peninsular at 6.30 so may be open 30 mins later so i would aim for that one .
  13. Freedom dining was the norm last october and you could book a table through the phone app. This was the first ship i think to try this technology and there was some teething problems. When we showed up at Pearl without booking when the restaurant opened we got a table pretty quick and made it in time for the theatre show at 8.30. That said after 6.45 it does get busy and people had to wait. Booked theatre and restaurants once we were onboard. Loved the ship and prefer it to Azura but that said Azura is ok, just like the new bright interior of Iona.
  14. This was the refit which i thought was delayed due to the covid outbreak when she was pulled out of service with the rest of the fleet. https://www.rolcruise.co.uk/blog/p-o-cruises-unveil-azura-refit
  15. We are booked on Azura 9th December from Gatwick and before they announced which Which London airport you could fly from the price for an inside cabin was £729 and if you could fly from Glasgow on 10th it was £650. Going on Azura to Croatia next week been on her twice already and Ventura her sister ship once. She had a refit in November 2021 so will be interested to see whats new next week. We enjoy the bigger ships because on sea days there seems to be more space to find your own space and it also has a promenade deck which Brittania does not due to all the additional balcony cabins. Never done RCL so cannot compare.
  16. Hi . Tentatively looking at a cruise and stay hol in feb 2023 that starts in Vegas then after 3 days goes to pick up Crown Princess cruise ship for 14 night cruise to Hawaii . Has anyone done this coach trip from Vegas to Los angeles , if so could you tell me please if the coaches are comfortable and how long it takes. I would guess around 4 hours but i dont know if they have comfort breaks on route of you just have to use the restroom on the coach. Also could anyone give me and idea what the cost of drinks are like and add on costs like Tips and Gratuities. It may seem an odd question but being from the UK we are not aware of the onboard cost of ships paying (charging) in dollars and sailing from the US. I guess 9 sea days could result in some thirsty passengers and maybe worth considering the drinks package. We probably drink more tea and coffee than alcohol but just looking at what budget we may need. Thanks
