Well, Ms Navarro claimed she hadn’t been comped for her (2) Azamara cruises and did have a discussion with Carol about being the only Hispanic CEO in the industry and probably one of the few women. Carol said that 70% of Azamara’s leadership is women. She (Ana) really liked the crew (who doesn’t), the itineraries. Carol skirted a question about the age of the ships by answering that that were “refreshed” in 2021 - lol. All in all, pretty much a piece of fluff, as expected.

This has probably been asked and answered, but how extensive is the library? And is there a book swap shelf (shelves)? I like to read real books, but don’t want to lug a ton onboard with me!

Because of the free excursions on Viking, there is less organizing of private tours (none on my roll call). And unfortunately, sail away is at midnight on this cruise! But I take your point.

This is kind of my fear, based solely on my Roll Call, which has been deadly quiet. And no automatic M&Ms onboard, either. Someone from the roll call has to organize and notify the ship with names and cabin numbers or some such. No one has volunteered (or shown interest) and as a newbie, I really didn’t want to take it on.

And it’s free and there is free detergent. Also and iron and ironing board.

Our first stop in the morning is Mosaic for lattes, which we enjoy in our room before heading off for breakfast.

Wish they would do away with the corkage fee altogether - Viking has.

I think there are two ATMs onboard, one in USD and one in EUROS. Aren’t always operational all of the time. You may also find ATMs in ports

If I’m not mistaken, Azamara publishes the guest demographics in their Daily.

I wonder why they don’t share the country profile by cruise. It certainly would be interesting .

Thanks for your summary! I suppose you know that the payment terms for US Viking guests are not so attractive! We are looking forward to our first Viking Ocean cruise next month, following which I will post my own reflections.
