Hi, I would book it now as non-refundable if you are happy with the price. I find the refundable fares to be too pricey to even consider, but check it out. The Symphony and the Anthem are to totally different ships and very different experiences. Try them both and see for yourself. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Note: Royal Caribbean is not as good as it was pre pandemic, but still a very nice cruise line. I think you will be pleased.

LOS Cape Liberty check in arrival
loug1601 replied to ChristieNJ's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We have sailed out of Bayonne a total of 8 times since the restart. Only once we’re they strict concerning the boarding time, and that was when they had just resumed sailing. We generally get to the port about 10 am, with a 10:30 or 11 am boarding time. They seem to be letting all on without question. We are usually in a suite so have the luxury of arriving up to one hour before our scheduled boarding time, but no one ever asks when cabin type we are in. The just say “Welcome!” or words to that effect. I don’t think you will have any issues at all. Of course, you won’t truly know until you get there. Happy cruising! -
Did they place the pink notices on the chair backs, and did nothing? Or, they did nothing, including no notices placed on chairs?

Visa Points Transfer Less than 7 days before Sail Date
loug1601 replied to doug618's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Funny you should ask…! We sail on the Anthem of the Seas on 01/02/23. I transferred $300 points this past Saturday, 12/17, at 7:30am. This would give them 15 days to make the transfer. I made the transfer online, not on the phone. Well, the $300 points were posted to my cruise within hours. I was pleasantly surprised. -

"LIVE" from Oasis of the Seas B2B - September 11, 2022
loug1601 replied to Radio's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Hi Radio, I’m loving your review, as always! We will also begin an Oasis B2B on Sept 25th, the day you debark. I think you suggested earlier that Royal was providing your consecutive cruiser lunch at Giovanni’s Table. Am I mistaken? We sailed a B2B on Symphony in 2018, and our lunch was provided at Jamie’s Italian. We loved the specialty restaurant treat. -
Do suites still have to choose an arrival time
loug1601 replied to mommomporkchop's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Hi Kathy, Since you live in PA, you may be sailing from Bayonne NJ. We have sailed 4 times from Bayonne since the Covid restart. Once on Anthem of the Seas and three times on Oasis of the Seas. All four times in a Grand Suite. There has been NO Suite boarding line in Bayonne during our sailings. We went to the front of the line and asked the employee who was checking for arrival times, and he said there was no Suite Boarding Line, but he ushered us into the line where he was. It was rather embarrassing, even though no one said anything. Things are changing so rapidly, I don’t know what you will encounter. Our last cruise was on Oasis in June 2022, approx 7 weeks ago…no suite boarding line. We are sailing on the Oasis again in September in a Grand Suite. I’ll wait and see how the boarding goes. There was a suite line once you entered the terminal. We are just so happy to be sailing again, and having our loved ones in good health. Pre Covid, I just don’t recall if there was a suite check in line. Pre Covid seems like an eternity ago… Pat -

I agree with your assessment of the Playmakers Nachos on Oasis. I had the same reaction when I ordered them. Your photo actually looks better than what I was served. I also had their onion ring tower in September 2021 and on our June 10th, 2022 sailing. Again not good. Both times they were thin, overly crisp and greasy. I had them on the Wonder of the Seas and the Odyssey of the Seas in April. They were delish. Enjoying your review. -

Glad everything is okay! Fully understand that cruise critic posting is not top priority 😊. We were on the Oasis 6/10/22 to 6/17/22. We had a nice time, but the ship seemed very crowded. I guess we were spoiled after doing a few sailings at 50 percent capacity. We are on the Oasis again doing a B2B 09/25/22 and 10/02/22…in the same cabin. I think this is your last week onboard…enjoy!!! -
