  1. since my ship doesn't arrive until 11am, probably just going to go to Tap and Still since it's right there for lunch and then walk over and do the Sky Ride in the afternoon($25).
  2. Can the Sky Ride tickets be purchased the day of? Royal Caribbean is charging $75 for the excursion and was wondering if it's cheaper to walk over from the ship and get it cheaper that day?
  3. Has anyone done the Brew & Beach excursion in St. Thomas (w/RCCL)? It must be something new because I haven't seen any reviews on it anywhere. It's over $100 and am curious, besides beer, what else is included? The description is very vague.
  4. did you end up doing this? Thinking of it for my January cruise on the Anthem, but it's over $100 p/p.
  5. New Orleans can have the Voyager class sail out of there. Carnival's Spirit class also fits.
  6. I remember cruise ships frequently sailing out of Philadelphia back in the day during the summer. But the lack of smaller ships have essentially eliminated cruising out of Philly. But this will be an issue of sailing out of Baltimore, Tampa, and Jacksonville down the road as cruise lines scrap their smaller ships.
  7. The offer for Chops lunch is a nice deal. Probably gonna do the same for Jamie's lunch on my upcoming Anthem cruise.
  8. It is. Unless they get a deal to sail to only Key West(won't happen).
  9. Tampa makes sense, but I think they're missing out on using Nassau and the Margaritaville Resort there. Maybe they'll make the MAS Paradise switch to 2/3/4 day cruises with the 3/4 day cruises going to Nassau?
  10. has there been a timetable as to when the MAS Islander will sail?
  11. Recently, the Costa Atlantica was transferred to Carnival China's brand, Adora Cruises, but remained laid up and never sailed for them. The ship was just sold to Margaritaville at Sea and will be named the Islander. if Carnival wanted another Spirit-class ship, they could have transferred the Atlantica over to Carnival.
  12. I never prepay gratuities. I've had bad service in the dining rooms or a bad room steward in the past. If anything, I'll be less likely to tip extra at the end of the cruise now.
  13. Carnival should have kept the Ecstasy around for a few more years. It was due for a dry dock, but Carnival scraped her instead.
  14. My past two cruises on the Anthem had meet ups organized through a social media page. They still happen, just not via this website anymore.
  15. His videos are always negative and all he does is complain about the cruises he goes on. I stopped listening to him years ago.
  16. as long as I can get my afternoon cappuccino, this really doesn't matter to me.
  17. Or likely homeport out of Jacksonville and do longer 3 & 4 day cruises. Or even 4 & 5 day cruises. The 5 days could do Nassau & Key West. The Parrotheads would love the stop in Key West.
  18. They can only sail a small ship out of Baltimore. Those cruises are very popular in the Winter season. They'll keep either the Enchantment OTS or swap in a similar ship.
  19. As expected, it looks like Odyssey will remain out of Bayonne, NJ for the Winter season of 2025-26.
  20. Nice name. Wonder if their 8th ship will be named the Imagination?
  21. Still thinking a 3/4 day schedule with a second ship could workout. 3-day sailings would do an over night in Nassau while the 4-day sailing could do Bimini & Nassau.
  22. I still believe that whenever they bring in a second ship, let it do 3 & 4 day cruises to Nassau and utilize the Margaritaville Resort in Nassau.
