All it takes is being around ONE infected person to catch covid be it at home or on a cruise ship
Exactly so you need to choose how you live your life and let others choose how they live their life. Many don't mind crowds and have been in them for awhile now. If you are worried, then stay clear of places like that for as long as you feel comfortable.

Probably because at home they aren’t around as many people as they are on a cruise ship. There’s a huge difference.
It seems many have not gone to places where there is a lot of people. Many of us have for awhile and crowds don't bother us.

I am also sailing on 8/28 and my questionnaire is also open.
The questions have changed. They now only ask if I am fully vaccinated, if I am boosted, and if I will be 23+ weeks pregnant.
I asked what they were before as I remember years ago it was a bunch of questions to answer about feeling sick, etc as I filled them out for all 4 of my family back then. That was at the port too.

Also wondering if we still have to take that questionnaire we used to at the port as none of those questions were provided online. Everything is just very confusing.

So we are still none the wiser what the change is after 14th August ?
Who knows as they told people who are cruising after that date to see new protocols coming out. This new info wouldn't even pertain to anyone cruising in August. Hoping something else comes out in the next few days.

Because it could scuttle the cruise lines if enough idiots game the system that way. We have already had to move (L&S) a dozen cruises because of the shutdown, and we just cleared out that backlog in July. With 21 cruises booked between now and April 2024, I simply have no more room to stuff any more into our schedule if the cruise line gets any more idiot hiccups.
I am working on my FIRST cruise in 4 years. 2 cancelled.

Many, many things, I laugh often and am a very happy person. Just would be very uncomfortable in the ''adult'' show. Glad you enjoy it.
You don't got to comedy clubs on land?

Who said I was worried. If you actually read my post you will see is that I said the new policies provide the opportunity for people who want to game the system a golden opportunity to do just that.
The new policies do make for an interesting "opportunity". We have an 8-night followed by a 5-night B2B. Had we booked these two cruises in reverse, we would not have to test for the first leg, and they stopped TAD testing on B2B's a few months ago, so theoretically we could actually be on the 8-night 2nd leg cruise without ever being tested. Not sure I'm quite ready for that.
Why say that then?

UHHH....never....we only test when we are required to test in order to cruise.
So why worry on the cruise then if you don't at home?

How often do you test at home?

When we cruised 3 weeks ago, we had to answer the longer questionnaire that asked if we had had various illness symptoms within the last 10 days or had been exposed to anyone with Covid in the last 10 days. I'm glad they are using a much simpler form now.
Thank you 🙂

The big question? Why does it matter if they change the questions? It is the check in, you would just answer what the ask, and than get on ship. They are never answered correctly anyway
I don't care if they changed them but just asking what they have been recently when people needed to answer the day before, not more than a week 🙂

For the last 14 months everyone(except kids under 12) were vaccinated. There were very few medical exceptions if any. We all wore wristbands and you had to have them on just to go into the casino, some pubs and the theater.
But how would you know on land? I get the ships were vaccinated but if they lift it now, how would you know?

Basic 3 questions: Vaxxs or not, Booster Shot and Pregnancy status. Was to be completed 1 day prior to sail, but mine was available some days ago for my September 3 sail.
The uploaded/approved vaccine card approval section has dropped from the check-in menu.
So no questionnaire like it used to be years ago at the port? I thought they asked if you felt sick, you have been sick in the last few days. I KNOW that I did that for 4 people and it took awhile to fill out at the port.

Fortunately where I live 95% of the population over 18 has had 2 doses… and yes, I know who are unvaxed. It’s a small community.
So you never leave your community?

And the 3rd question "pregnancy status" apples to all genders and ages😜
Yeah, what the heck was that about? lol

I would be happier to keep the vaccine requirement, drop the pre cruise testing especially as it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find test centres in England; and stop the crew having to wear masks.
I’m not thrilled that unvaccinated will now be allowed on board.
jmho. Why? Do you know who is vaccinated and unvaccinated when you go out on land? How would you know who is vaccinated on a cruise?

So is this the announcement due out by 8/14/22?
No clue as it does say for Eastern Caribbean, info will be available soon.

Asking because my cruise one is now available when we were told to take it on the day before the cruise and there were only 3 questions on there. Is that normal as I know when I cruised before the pandemic that we had to answer a bunch of questions regarding if we were sick, if we felt sick, etc. etc.

Something has changed. The Icon of uploaded/approved Vaxs Cards has disappeared on many sails. If Royal does not keep a database of prior Pax history, the only way to determine vaxxed and non-vaxxed will be at port check-in, unless something is in the air.
and the health questionnaire that we were told to take the day before the cruise was available and was only 3 questions.
Royal has made an update on their website
