Nope , but I did talk to a lady on my last ship that claimed she won a free cruise at Bingo and on the subsequent "free cruise"played again and won a second free cruise . I thought it would be good to buy my cards and let her play them for me .

Understand your question ,... but if you read closely she never stated that she was AT the Captains corner. She only stated that she was onboard , and that the Captain said this . (Maybe she heard him say this , or maybe someone told her he said this, not sure...because she doesn't say ) Not interested in argueing , just saying that this actually proves the point of how rumours and conjecture get twisted as everyone has a story , and the more times that story is told , the more the facts get skewed . Agreed although I read that guests on the Promenade also witnesssed this so I gather it is accurate. Still, I’m not sure why other guests need these details. This is All conjecture ! Well , my post was meant as an ün"educated "hypothesis as to how it may play out . .... I wonder why I would suggest the possibility of it playing out like that ? Appreciate the opportunity ... That's priceless . That is a glass half full attitude for sure . I don't believe as a parent I would have appreciated telling my kids they couldn't have ice cream because it costs . I'd be much more content to tell my kids they are not having ice cream today because they ate too much junk already or whatever other reason I decide . On another note , This whole "doesn't impact me" talk is just silly IMO . Some of this stuff doesn't impact me either but a lot of it does . (IF) this is true and it is just regular old windjammer ice cream , then what next ...In the MDR I'll be able to have apple pie for dessert but a la mode will be an upcharge?? . Or are desserts in general next on the list across the board for a charge ? Cheers

Agree completely with this . I can accept many changes in the interest of profit , ( extra charge for second lobster , upselling to a chops filet ) , things like that to me are somewhat acceptable . But if you take away too many of the "little "perks that cruisers have come to expect , eventually the cruise experience may no longer be what it once was . To some money seems to be no object and they will stick to their loyalties no matter . But , for others (even those who can afford it ten times over) , the little digs become more of an insult , and therefore they will look elsewhere . I am not "whining" about any of this , rather making my observations . I love Royal with 11 completed , Just turning Diamond ,3 more booked (1 just this weekend) , 2 more in "research phase" and only 1 cruise on another line so far (NCL) . But I am definitely finding myself searching elsewhere to see what's out there as prices are rising and services being cut . I'm hoping I can continue to find good enough value to continue booking RCI ! Cheers

And I believe with that attitude if you ran a business in the service industry it would not last long ! ... You are making my point for me . I completely agree that a primary function of a business is to make money .... But IF ? And I do say If , you are right and they are to the point where that's all they care about in this case ... they will not be rakin in these kinda profits for long . Peoples tolerances are being tested , better not push too far ! Cheers

I'm sorry , but this is what I am getting tired of hearing . YES , I can blame Royal 100% !! Just because the current environment says yes people will pay certainly doesn't mean that all these moves are smart business decisions ! A company seemingly lookin only at the bottomline and taking advantage of loyal consumers is certaimly deserving of MUCH blame . JMHO Cheers

This is where I have evolved I guess. I used to be soooo worried about leaving something , but now It's a pretty basic check then Wallet/Purse ... Check Keys... Check Phone... Check Other than that if I leave a bottle of shampoo or some dirty socks... I won't much care Cheers
