A few years back a cruise supposed to be headed south from the new england area actually rerouted to a canada/new england itinerary . We are from NS Canada and were embarking out of New Jersey 2 days later . It was a nightmare scenario for us personally , but it went off without a hitch and we thoroughly enjoyed our 11 night cruise ... That headed SOUTH !!!! Cheers !

Naaah , there likely will not be any "plan" enacted . Well , not with the B2B Gty side. I will certainly Plan to use the knowledge provided to make the best of booking Gty cabins going forward though ,(with the possibility of upgrading) Have only been comfortable booking Neighborhood balcony Gty so far ,but in February I tried an inside cabin for the first time to try it out and we had no problem at all with it .. Actually preferred it in some ways . Been trying to book for Feb/24 , Oct/24 and Feb/25 this weekend , so trying to keep all options open . Thx. again

I have also been of this belief , and have also posted about it. I'll just say if I can't enjoy a for free /fare included meal anymore without an upcharge , my cruising decisions will become a lot more scrutinized! Cheers

1 further related question... Example-- Lets say I booked an inside cabin and down the road I see a price drop (before final) , and also I notice that a balcony is then priced at or below my original interior . I assume I would always be able to (level up) my category and reprice at current pricing ? Am I assuming correctly ?

How soon before sailing do they usually assign cabins ?

Hi all , I am currently searching for a winter cruise. I have been a fairly loyal patron of Royal , but with the many recent cuts and in most cases extreme price increases , I am looking elsewhere and a couple different NCL sailings with stop at GSC are on my radar . I have done 1 NCL cruise , (Breakaway 11 night in 2018), and loved it . Just a couple questions regarding food and beverage that I'm sure I can get more accurate answers here than with the NCL reps. Firstly , does the drink package apply on the island ? And which food venues on the island are complimentary ? Any other (Island Pro tips) of course appreciated . Thx Cheers

Just curious ,What has you convinced that they would not have loaded it on the cart shortly after you had entered terminal . I understand the anxiety ,I have felt it too , but lots of times they are so busy that it is not loaded immediately. I'm pretty confident though , at worse case , that as the last passengers are clearing the area at final boarding , A couple of bags on the sidewalk would definitely stand out ... And get loaded ! JMHO Cheers

9 days would be $392.40 by my math...but yes it is a 7 day cruise

I am currently doing mock bookings considering winter 2024 cruises . I thought I understood that Gratuities for the FAS beverage package would be calculated as follows ..... $109 per day for the package (X 20%) = $21.80 pp pd ...X2 people ($43.60) ... X7 days ($305.60). Maybe they charge for 8 days? ($349.20)? Yet , in the mock booking It shows open bar gratuities at $402.58..?? Can someone please explain where I am going wrong . Also as an aside , Govt. taxes , Fees and Port Expenses seem consistently and substantially higher than RCI..Odd Thx Cheers
