I’m about to go on what will hopefully be an amazing trip around Rahjastan Terry. I’ll let you know how it goes but the company I have been dealing with are superb. I’ve got my own car and chauffeur for 18 days with a superb itinerary and all 5 star hotels. They can customise any tour and have done for me to include 2 tiger safaris and an afternoon at an elephant sanctuary also switched the last night in Delhi for an extra in Agra. They customise anything from basic hotels to 5 star or specific tours only in either Orberoi or TAJ Hotels.

Now that would be a blast from the past. I Used to live in docklands and went through the foot tunnel many a Sunday afternoon. Greenwich market was wonderful. My memories of the Woolwich ferry aren’t quite so fond.

I Hope you can sort it soon. I Gave up trying to book a SS cruise recently because they couldn’t move beyond the monitoring the situation stage 3 weeks before departure and lots of flights/tours/hotels depended upon it. We are living in strange times.

They’ll probably sort it out in the end but maybe a little later than you would feel comfortable. Have you spoken to them directly? They do tend to react to situations “alla maniera Italiana” but give them a call to discuss your options. I Recently walked away from an epic Amazon/Beunos Aires/Rio/ Iguazu/Santiago/Easter Island/ Machu Pichu trip when this all kicked off. I Hope you are able to sort a decent alternative.

Yes that's the one Terry. I Assume this photo was taken before it opened? It looks beautiful inside. I'm leaning towards Ossiano at the Atlantis for Dinner, Chef Gregoire seems to produce some amazing dishes. Seems to be my best option without having to stray too far from the hotel. Anyone been there? The tasting menu looks incredible but I'm not sure about the Jellyfish! Still nothing ventured.

One of the reasons that Crystal beAt SS hands down. I Love an invitation to get my glad rags on but I think the heavy number of formal/Informal nights on our cruises started becoming a chore.

Thanks for that Terry, I'll be at the new Raffles Palm Dubai and the restaurant choice isn't anything particularly inspiring or edgy tbh for such a beautiful hotel. An MDR that serves sliders and burgers isn't really the experience I'm looking for and why would I go to the Emirates to eat Japanese food? A Top class Arabian/Persian Restaurant not too far from the Hotel would be my first choice. On my way back through I'm having a night at the Palazzo Versace and I've booked in for their Prusiana Brunch evening (A Prussian meets Peruvian occasion but without the Guinea Pigs) which looks like a lot of fun and a nice way to spend the last night of my holiday. I've never taken brunch at 8.00pm before and I don't think it's obligatory to partake in a Hunt to attend but let's not get pernickety.

Do any of my wonderful cooler friends have any suggestions for the must see/do/eat things to do in Dubai? I’ll be there on a 28hr stopover in a few weeks staying on the Palm Jahmeira. I arrive at 8.am (hopefully after a couple of hours sleep on the plane) and I’m there until the following lunchtime. I’m thinking drop cases at the hotel, morning visit the Burjh Khalifa than a speedboat tour, lunch somewhere nice, helicopter sightseeing tour then back to the Hotel for afternoon tea, power nap and then Dinner. Any quick things to do that might be more fun? TIA
