Which of the two restaurants is currently being used for Your Time Dining?

I plan on booking an Alaska cruise as soon as they are available.

I received that offer, too, but when I go to Carnival's site, it says there is nothing available. No destinations available, no dates available, etc. Guess I'll have to phone to see if it's just a glitch for me or there were only a few cabins and they are gone already.

And Canada has extended the need to use ArriveCAN until at least September 30, 2022.

I was on the Splendor last month. The soups - broccoli and cheese, mushroom, clam chowder were all wonderful. Several appetizers - cured salmon, stuffed mushrooms, spring rolls, baked meatballs, crab cake were delicious. As for main courses - brisket and prime rib were my favourites. On the flip side, the fried chicken was over cooked and the salmon in puff pastry had an undercooked bottom crust and the top crust was soggy from the sauce. I had the eggs Benedict for breakfast in the MDR and the English would have disavowed any connection to the muffin. It was hard as a rock, burned around the edges and I gave up trying to cut through it.

I had this on Splendor recently and should have ordered seconds. Absolutely delicious!

I was on the Splendor and it took less than 10 minutes to get my morning room service order delivered. Even ordered a sandwich one afternoon and it was there very quickly. It took longer for me to go to Java Blue and get my coffee.

My dinner entertainment was back. 😁

Lol. Both Wednesday and Thursday nights there were people out on the lounge chairs. I was wondering whether they were my dinner entertainment or I was theirs.

I’m on this cruise. Not personally affected, but quite a few people from our “site that shall not be named” group have said they were ill. Seems to be food poisoning, though the actual source food is not 100% clear.

You have to pick a time. I’m on the 10 a.m. shuttle from the airport, so for the check in time I chose 10:30 - 11:00. If you arrive after the time you pick, you are fine.

Which dining room is used for Your Time Dining on Splendor? I'm hoping it's the Black Pearl (mid-ship). And from the deck plans, it looks like you can enter the restaurant from either the lobby or close to the mid-ship elevators. Is this correct? Thanks.

I’m doing this cruise as well. Flying from Victoria to Seattle the day of the cruise. I’ve been to Seattle before and this will be Alaska cruise #6, so my trip will be a lot less active than I’m sure yours will be, but looking forward to following your report from onboard and if I happen to “find” you, will say hi. By the way, while Port Valet lists Carnival ships and cruises, according to John Heald, Carnival does NOT use their services, so don’t rely on it. I think it’s an issue of money, but it’s just my opinion. Port Valet doesn’t charge cruise passengers, but it may likely charge Carnival and Carnival isn’t interested in putting out the money.
