  1. It appears that @Eglesbrech has really turned things upside down there on the Sky! Please sir, don't break the ship...we board next cruise after yours!
  2. I think maybe I did not clarify enough; They are not "passing through" Princess in CA. They have been produced, customized and packaged elsewhere (foreign).
  3. The way it has always worked for me is that if I have any OBC "on file" with princess (I don't book through a TA, normally) it uses that OBC first when trying to pay for an excursion. You can "uncheck" the box that says "use OBC" if you like, but that box has always been checked by default. If you don't have enough OBC to cover the excursion...then it proceeds to allow you to pay via PayPal or credit card. That's been my experience for several years now.
  4. We did this excursion in June 2019. After having joined the line and advancing for about 15 minutes we saw this: We opted to do something else!!
  5. Exactly! The package price will be "less" on a 7 day cruise as compared to a 14 day cruise...same cost per day.
  6. Well...in a way it is customizable right now. You just pick ala carte what you want after having booked Standard Fare.
  7. Yes, but you will probably have to speak to the Captain's Host to get it reviewed.
  8. I hope they get these issues ironed out, both for your sake AND ours! We are on the next sailing!
  9. But the price for those packages will be adjusted up to take into account the longer voyage.
  10. Well...that's certainly a good sign! I guess that answers the speculation that it was just a "trial" rollout for the Discovery...
  11. I do not believe so. Others have asked this before and the general consensus was that, no-you cannot. Now...once on-board is *probably* a different story.
  12. And those computers do NOT have any better WiFi than regular passengers' devices...because they are connected to the same WiFi source. And...you *still* must have an internet package. It's not "free" at the Internet Cafe!
  13. but it was moved to the "Float Away Lounge" https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2935674-lets-get-some-humor/#comment-65333347
  14. Yes...but that's just the "US" origin shipping point. They *really* come from China or Singapore.
  15. A VERY good rule to try and follow.
  16. And...it's very likely that Princess will NOT publicize this. It would just be another "pain point" for cruising pros to trash them for...
  17. Absolutely! On a couple of occasions we have swung by the excursion desk just on the off chance that someone cancelled or some other reason. Both times we were able to get in on the one we wanted. YMMV, obviously.
  18. We had a TERRIBLE connection in CDG...and consequently missed our flight home! Thank goodness it was not headed *to* the ship! Anyway, Air France put us up in an airport hotel so we got a "free night in Paris"...such as it was. No time to go out and do anything but at least we were not out financially.
  19. Most (not all) people get an email saying that their medallion has shipped. That email will have a tracking link within it. *In general* (as others have stated) you will receive the medallion(s) about 10-14 days prior. DON'T PANIC if you don't get them! They can EASILY give you a new one at the port during check-in. These may not have your name and/or ship printed on them...but they will work. Don't stress over this...you'll get on the ship!
  20. We depend on the ship service *heavily* so that we do not have to pack everything we own!
  21. Whatever you do....don't rap on the wall 5 times. I assume you've seen The Twilight Zone...? You just might wake up the next morning on board....
  22. Interesting! I had no idea that this was a feature of that site! I've looked many times at the deck plan itself but this is new to me! Thanks!
