  1. If you feel that your flight time will be very tight...then I would not suggest doing a transfer. We always book our outgoing flights with plenty of "pad" time to allow for transfer delays. Yes, you generally wait a few minutes for a bus to fill, and unless you are one of the first terminal drop=offs there will be another delay. Unless you are familiar with the airport layout and routes for buses you can't really estimate that one.
  2. Our travelling companions just informed us that they bid on an upgrade from an inside cabin to deluxe balcony...and won!
  3. Now...if you had ordered a flying squirrel for yours...then you would really have something! 😄
  4. I honestly don't think I could drink that much soda in one day to warrant that cost! And I drink a LOT of Diet Cokes!
  5. They definitely DO increase on occasion. We have experienced it on several cruises. Primarily when we have booked and traveling companions have put it off...and they get stuck with a higher rate.
  6. Whaaaat? Alec Guinness on board? Wow! 😄
  7. It seems to vary from cruise to cruise. I've seen it available for your current time frame...and others not until maybe 45 days prior. Just keep watching/trying. But then again...I've never seen ANYBODY actually checking for a person's boarding/arrival time...so many just ignore this. We typically get to the ship very late and there's very short lines (usually) so we just zip right on through. Now...if you're one of the first people when the doors are opened, the elites and priority guests have first dibs.
  8. That still would not alleviate the potential "rush" to form a line...well before that opening time.
  9. This is a "pasted" topic on the first page of Princess category: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2724695-princess-senior-ship-staff-inc-cruise-directors-entertainment-directors/page/29/#comment-64958927
  10. We would be faced with the exact same situation if they were to open up reservations online...they would book up possibly months in advance, with those booking very late having absolutely NO chance to participate. There's no really good solution...
  11. Let me also welcome you to CruiseCritic!
  12. There is a very reasonable explanation... "Princess IT". 😄
  13. Alcohol Policy As provided in the Passage Contract, guests agree not to bring alcoholic beverages of any kind on board for consumption, except one bottle of wine or champagne per adult of drinking age (no larger than 750 ml) per voyage, which will not be subject to a corkage fee if consumed in the stateroom. Additional wine or champagne bottles are welcome, but will incur a $15 corkage fee each, irrespective of where they are intended to be consumed. Liquor, spirits or beers are not permitted. Please remember that luggage will be scanned and alcohol outside of our policy will be removed and discarded.* Alcoholic beverages that are purchased duty free from The Shops of Princess, or at ports of call, will be collected for safekeeping and delivered to the guest's stateroom on the last day of the cruise. A member of the ship's staff will be at the gangway to assist guests with the storage of their shoreside alcoholic purchases while The Shops of Princess staff will assist guests with shipboard alcoholic purchases. *Princess is not responsible for any alcoholic beverages removed and discarded by shoreside security staff. Such items are not eligible for monetary refund or replacement. Guests found with prohibited items, including alcohol outside of the policy, may need to collect their luggage at a security checkpoint on board.
  14. Another note...I have seen past references to this: If you do not take your meds in their "official" container you should take a picture of each pill/container bottle showing all of the prescription details. Make sure it can be clearly read should the situation arise.
  15. Be prepared to shell out some serious "clams"! Last time we were there (fall 2022) I remember thinking how expensive they were...but then I'm not prone to doing crab legs. As far as the location...I don't think you could do any better. Stellar reputation!
  16. What info are you looking to have answered? Prices were posted in a previous post... ??
  17. I have a fairly large number of pills/vitamins that I take daily. I trade the up-front inconvenience for the ease of just grabbing a single "customized" packet twice a day. Just sharing what I do...
  18. And...how large is your dining party? Max table size is for 8 but it gets harder and harder to find the 6 & 8 tables the closer to sail time.
  19. I divvy everything up into morning and evening meds and put each complete "dose" into these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CMD6VJ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Once separated out into individual morning or evening packs I put all of morning and all of evening into a quart-sized zip-lock bag. Then, all I have to do is grab an individual pill pack before going to breakfast or dinner.
  20. Yep! We just did this excursion back in Feb of this year. It was a VERY long day...but we very much enjoyed it. We were with another couple who had not done any type of transit. We had done a full transit on the very last sailing of Pacific Princess before pandemic...and then of course they WENT AND SOLD IT!!!
  21. Use the "web version" instead of the app. Much easier to see what you're doing. And as @Steelers36 states...it's under the DineMyWay section.
  22. Princess has a 50+ year history in Alaska. They are the "measuring stick" that most cruise lines are compared to. Our first Alaska sailing was with Celebrity, with 2 more since on Princess. I will always be booking Princess for future Alaska sailings.
