  1. I believe it was Don Terris that said Princess was to have 7 ships in AK this year. I'd bet as those sailings get closer (and if they're not filling up) you will see these offers.
  2. Well...this is from someone who has NEVER gotten on a ship in time for the MDR.... It's hard to beat Alfredo's! It's not *all* pizza...but it is a somewhat limited menu. https://www.beyondships2.com/grand-princess-alfredos-pizzeria-menu.html
  3. We booked with a TA for the first time ever for an upcoming cruise. A couple days ago I made an inquiry about what the cost would be to upgrade from our current mini-suite to Club Class mini-suite...just curious, mainly. Well, she came back and said she was able to get us into a CC mini AND for a lesser total fare than what I was already on the hook for with the plain mini. About a $500 savings! I realize this is not the same thing as being upgraded directly by Princess...but the upgrade fairy comes in many forms!
  4. It's the self-destruct button! DON'T TOUCH IT!!!
  5. Very few cruises remain that require Vax status.
  6. How “Lively” will Sky Princess be? It all depends on how many cruisers have moved over from Carnival! Be sure to take your boxing gloves! 😄
  7. Blue/Green makes no difference as far as your stated goal. Group A is the key...first group.
  8. Keep in mind that I am coming from the viewpoint of a non-coffee drinker (or tea as well). I'm not at all familiar with the kettles...not sure I've ever seen one on a ship. Surely these kettles are not disposable, are they? If so...then I understand, but if they are NOT disposable wouldn't they already have tons of these things sitting in a storeroom/closet just waiting for use?
  9. Oh well....sorry! There is obviously something "different" about your particular cruise...or *maybe* they've just maxed out their capacity...IDK.
  10. You know...I don't think I've ever done a cruise that disappointed me. I've done a couple on NCL that were not my favorites but I still enjoyed them. I just need to be on a big boat....floating!
  11. Just as a side note...I noticed that "CCAubs" has this same notification posted in almost every other line's forum here on CC. I'm not holding my breath that *any* of these questions/concerns will really be addressed. (No...I'm not the least bit cynical...why do you ask?)
  12. Yes...I forgot about the white medallions...but they would just get lost in a sea of others that we've saved. (I'm *certain* that they will be worth BIG MONEY at some point...)
  13. Interesting! I just went through a mock excursion booking and I see the same as you describe. I think maybe you could accomplish this by calling in...maybe.
  14. I *think* I know the answer to this one...but will be boarding in just a few days... Do they do the WD on the Caribbean? (I *think* the answer is no...but would be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong!)
  15. I can't help but think *somebody* got paid a small fortune to design that child-proof packaging that the medallions come in. It takes me 30 minutes to get down to the final layer!
  16. We have only done a guarantee cabin once before pandemic, and I may not remember exactly but it seems as if we did not get an assignment until about 1 week prior. Would not swear to it...
  17. I stand corrected! I knew that is *used* to be you could not...sorry!
  18. Bragging rights. There may be some special (trivial) souvenirs to commemorate the cruise.
  19. Yes, you can. When you get to the payment section there should be a button marked "gift card". Just follow the onscreen prompts.
  20. I'm pretty sure you would need to do this before final payment. (Not sure about that, though.)
  21. I don't think this is possible once you are on board. You're talking about a completely different fare class. Now...it's probably possible to purchase what was once termed the Plus drink package once on board...but that's an add-on cost...not a fare change.
  22. Second vote for smaller ships! Pacific Princess was one of our favorites.
  23. We've sailed a grand total of 1 time on Celebrity (Solstice, Alaska) and would not hesitate to sail on her again...or any other Celebrity ship.
  24. We have done Seattle departures 3 times now. Assuming you dock at about 7:00am (typical) you should have no trouble making a 1:00pm flight. The airport is 20-25 minutes from the port.
  25. I did a quick Google search and came up with this as far as costs: https://cruiselifestyle.co.uk/2022/03/08/princess-cruises-laundry-guide/
