In the UK we can hire folding scooters. Try asking about them from the scooter company you choose to hire from.
My DF has rented 4 folding scooters, up to now, and each time he has been in a standard cabin. He was able to drive the scooter through the cabin doorway. He use to fold the scooter up when he was going to be in the cabin for longer than an hour.

I just know I often feel under attack on msg boards. It seems if you say you are disappointed people are all like suck it up, get over it .... whatever it is.
Please keep in mind that 'it's ok to not be ok'
It's ok to be disappointed and if these women can not see you have a right to be upset/disappointed that is on them.

Roc have had to amend my November 2021 new Zealand cruise from 10 days to 9 days. That’s fine because in these changing times I can see future scheduling
for the cruise lines must be a nightmare. What I am not happy with is their punitive offer of 100 US dollars OBC compensation. We (husband and I) paid over £2176 for a 10 night cruise which equates to 288 dollars per night so roc have offered the oh so generous compensation of 33% , and I am very agreaved that such an outstanding company is so mealy mouthed and penny pinching. They should offer a reasonable rate. I very much doubt I will consider booking with them in the future . This rant won’t c(angle anything and I doubt roc even read these comments but at least I feel.a bit better regards
Sorry this has happened to you.
Ask for a refund and save the money for when cruising actual starts again.

The majority of the time we just go for a walk around the port area. When we do decide to take an excursion we book a ship's excursion. As my son is confined to a wheelchair I prefer peace of mind over price.

Which if you look at it a different way is a good thing. It means that you are not thought to be at risk if you did get it compared to others.
Good point.
I'm an unpaid carer for my son, who is vulnerable, and I guess I'm just fed up of the UK government ignoring us unpaid carers.

It is good news but I think some of us are in for a long wait, as we will be low down on the vaccination priority list.

This one will probably be moved too

With the new CruiseCritic format, I can’t find an edit function; does it exist?
The three dots on the right is the edit button. You can also use the dots to report or share a post.

Any one know how to shorten other posters signature list?
I like to see other posters past cruises but not all of them.

We were on the Oasis, me; DS & DM, watching a "comedian". We were near the front, DM was tired and decided to leave. The comedian decided to heckle her. Firstly because she was leaving; Secondly because he overheard her say she was going to bed; Thirdly because of her accent. He only stopped heckling her, even though she was not longer in the venue, when he realised people were not laughing and others had started to leave.

Eavesway have said today they will be running coaches down but at more limited locations. Nearest to us is too far unfortunately. They are offering the service at this years prices until 13th November.
Thank you for the update. I will look at the locations and let my parents know.

I'm not sure the cast can see the audience because of the stage lights

Eavesway sought opinions on Facebook last week to see if there would be interest in them running a service. They said they would decide this week.
Thank you

Anyone know if Eavesway coaches are doing transfers for the 3 night cruise?
My parents want to sail but only if they can travel down by coach.

The BBC asked Dr Sunetra Gupta not to mention the declaration on The Victoria Derbyshire Show even though this was partly why she was asked to appear.

We all know that newspapers always tells the truth and never miss quote people to make the article more interesting.
I still remember the Sun's front page which claimed "Freddie Starr ate my hamster"

The problem with the biased BBC is that they have one interviewee like Maureen Eames and 3 against her view.
It's funny though that Maureen Eames view resonated better with the UK public than the others.
Not sure how you can claim the BBC is biased as they when back to interview Maureen, on her own, the day after the vox pop was aired

So what do the people who subscribe to the GBD say is the solution for these people. Are they suggesting their whole families live in a bubble?
Try asking Maureen Eames.

Europe 2021??
in Royal Caribbean International

We only cruise in Europe but until the vaccine is more readily available, to all European countries, we are not thinking of cruising in 2021.
In the UK the first wave of vaccination happens on 08/12/2020 but this is only for key workers who can get to certain hospitals. Smaller hospitals have not got the facility to store the vaccine. This means that some people, in the UK, will not get the vaccine until summer.
If other European countries follow a similar pattern then some people may not get vaccinated until late summer.
Up to now it's anybody's guess if it will be safe to cruise next year.
