  1. We were on the Enchanted in March. 10 fantastic days in the Caribbean on this beautiful ship. We tried the Catch, as this was one restaurant we really wanted to dine in. The food, ambiance and service was exceptional. 10 out of 10. Personally, the best specialty restaurant of the Princess offerings. Enjoy your cruise and have a wonderful time.
  2. You don't under these packages. Completely discretionary. Folks make a big deal about tipping extra and somehow feel obligated. We tip our cabin steward at the end and that's it. Don't be pressured into doing something you don't feel is right.
  3. I'm good with that. Definitely a positive for the ship. Hopefully it remains in place but I fear it will be only temporary.
  4. E445. The life boat is below the top of the glass railing so it's not terrible.
  5. Hello all. We are sailing on the Enchanted 10 day Caribbean cruise this March. We are currently on the Emerald Deck with an obstructed balcony. We have received a notice from PC on bid opportunities for various cabin upgrades. We might entertain a bid for a deluxe non obstructed cabin. I know you don't have any control on location and we are pretty flexible on locations but my fear if successful, we could be put into a connecting room. The ship is sold out so not sure how upgrades could still be possible. Could be a bunch of guarantee cabins available? Would appreciate some of your thoughts and related bid experiences. Thank you
  6. Our group dined at Sabatini's, last August on Crown and last March on Discovery. Thoroughly enjoyed the menu and portions. Signed up again for our upcoming March cruise.
  7. We did it the UBD 2 years ago on the Discovery going to Alaska. Cool outside so it was prepared in our cabin. Absolutely fantastic service and food. Zero complaints and would do it again.
  8. I hope we have different productions shows for our March cruise on Enchantment. Been there done that for both these shows, both on Discovery. They were very good productions.
  9. I am in no way a veteran cruiser with only 4 under my belt, all with PC. Our most recent cruise was a fantastic 11 days on the Crown Princess (similar age) doing Alaska. Every PC voyage we have had the pleasure to be a part of has been wonderful. From the food, entertainment and service, no complaints. I have nothing to compare as we have only been with PC but I have to say that for us so far we love the PC brand of cruising and what is being offered. Not to say we won't venture in the future and try another brand.
  10. The relaxing vibe appeal accompanied with excellent service.
  11. We are BC residents and booked 2 cruises with Platinum insurance before the October 16 implementation. We have been told by Princess and our TA that the insurance policy will be good and honored by the carrier.
  12. I was told this was an error by PC which has not been corrected on their website. My TA confirmed with PC last week that BC residents are eligible as we were in the same situation, from BC and Purchasing Princess Insurance for upcoming cruise. No need to cancel our insurance. I went on to my cruise personalizer page which has our policy and BC is not listed in the group of states/provinces not eligible. I see now that on PC site it states as of Oct 16, 2023 BC is not eligible. I think we are good as we booked cruise in Sept 2023. Back to my TA to confirm again.
  13. We have done 4 cruises with Princess. 2 on Discovery. I can't compare to Celebrity but have loved each PC we have been on. We did tease about going with Celebrity Apex next spring but based on cost and itinerary we have booked with PC again for spring.
  14. Our group did a 11 day Alaska cruise this August on Crown. There was a bit of a wait a couple of evenings in the MDR. Overall service times for food and drinks were very good. No complaints, great cruise.
  15. Our group just completed an 11 day Alaska cruise on the Crown (Sister Ship). We realized it was an older ship when we booked, but the cruise, food and service was wonderful. Cabins showing some age but other than that no complaints and would do it again. All subjective of course.
  16. On the Crown right now to Alaska. Bed is on the soft side but manageable. My biggest issue is the pillows which are soft. My foam pillow would be ideal.
  17. On Crown Princess out of Vancouver today. We are Blue Lane as we had to pick up medallions. Arrived at Pier 10:20, on board 11:15. Zero problems and pretty smooth embarkation.
  18. I am not impressed with PC with their latest change. Does give pause that what you might book and pay for is not necessarily the final product when it's time to cruise. Is it enough to take note and entertain the switch to other cruise lines? Yes!
  19. 4 Princess cruises. 3 post covid. Another PC coming up in August. No complaints on the food and service. We wouldn't be repeat customers if the food wasn't to our liking. Only complaint is the lack of snack/ casual food. Would love to taste a plate of nachos and wings.
  20. Your first hunch/thought was correct. There is no expectations of tipping further if gratuities are included in the package. Having said that, we only tipped our cabin steward at the end of the cruise. Each cruise we were on we were extremely impressed with the service and interactions. In the end it's at your discretion. I think there is too much overthinking on tipping.
  21. I'm on a cruise to enjoy and relax. Gratuities are included in my package. Only exception to tipping is the cabin steward at the end of the cruise. We have ordered room service most mornings on cruises.
  22. The big kicker in this that your CVP wasn't able to help in this matter. Shouldn't be the customer who has to do the leg work in getting resolved. CVP should be your contact to listen, act and remedy where applicable. Something wrong with this current process. Another reason I use my own VP.
  23. Our group cruised on the Discovery this spring for Mexico. First time on this itinerary and absolutely loved it. Plenty of places to just relax, lounge, play cards. All while enjoying the beverage of your choice brought to you. Beautiful ship. Also was on the Discovery for Alaska cruise last year. Had a fantastic time.
