  1. Just for general info, I submitted my info for Loyalty Match, from another cruise line, on Monday May 1, they replied on Thursday, May 4, DBEs were added, 1st voyage is Aug 2023, ...really easy simple process. Kudos to VV for offering the loyalty match benefit! Appreciate all the nice perks!
  2. Great News! I have a voyage scheduled for this Aug 2023. I just submitted my info for loyalty match. I will update back once it all gets confirmed. Thanks for all the info!

  4. That depends on what ship and time of year for the cruise. Newer ships in the middle of summer, chances are pretty slim that it goes down, older ships...def a possibility of it....again just depends on when you're cruising and what ship...esp these days...but gotta roll the dice on this....if you wait...it's a 50 50 it goes down....but then could go up as well....which if it does, you can usually get a price adjustment. Happy Cruising!
  5. WorkingforOBC is spot on with the responses. You and your fam will have an awesome time!!
  6. I used to be one who only booked my own cruises, but I saw the light, and now I would only use a TA. This was especially helpful during the covid shut down, when things were so chaotic with the cruising industry. Nobody knew what or when anything was going to happen. I had a cruise booked with NCL and by booking through my TA, he had to do all the calling and arranging and the back and forth. Saved me a TON of time, stress, and headache. That cruise had to be rebooked 3 different times. My TA books VV, so I was super happy when he said, yes, I can do that for you! I booked Scarlet for this August, so I'm really looking forward to that voyage! In short, A TA can pretty much do everything with the exception of payment, haha....its just so easy to call up and say, I need X and X and they take care of it. I send 1 email telling him what cruise, dates, and cabin class, he sends backs prices...we choose/pay, he takes care of the rest.
  7. Total Rip! but I ended up paying the $ for my medallion to be shipped for Discovery P cruise in April. We shall see if paid off or not LOL....port pick up can be done in many ways...from very organized and flowing to very chaotic and everyone standing around saying, they could have done this way better.
  8. Awesome Review! Reading along with your adventures is bringing me back on our Wish cruise back in Dec...sigh...... Curious to hear your thoughts on best restaurant out of the 3...hard decision since they are so different....but think you might have a fav?
  9. Haha...no pressure at all! LOL We loved the Aquamouse, and you WILL and DO get wet! Just be prepared for that 🙂 We didn't have to wait too long, peak times its always going to be busy, but port days and later in the day seems to be the best times when the wait was not as long haha...When the wait is long, they did not allow anyone to ride solo, we thought it went faster when it was 2 people in the boat vs 1, which seems odd, but that's what we determined. LOL We did not do any excursions either. Castaway Cay is a great island and Disney does a good job of accommodating everyone's preference, from the family beaches to Serenity Bay, which is just for people over 18. Adult area is on the aft end of the ship(deck 13), its not the biggest, but there is a pool and hot tubs....we didnt have any issues with it, but as usual there are those who are going to nit pick and say XX and XX and XX..but it just comes down, it is what it is, again, we didnt have any issue with it.... Have a great time, we loved the Wish, no matter what the negative reviews say 😛
  10. I am also interested in your opinion of the Wish. We just did the Holiday Cruise in Dec 2022. We are looking forward to the arrival of Treasure!
  11. Nice....My TA gave us $150.....so def "pays" to use a TA if that are able to book with Virgin V.
  12. Oh nice!...Good to know!....I'm hoping it gets extended to at least August! We'll see! Thanks for the info... 🤞
  13. I would wait till after March 31 and see what Virgin does with their program. I have a cruise booked for Aug 2023, I just was approved for status match, but not the Deep Blue Extras, as my cruise is after March 31. If you aren't taking a cruise between now and March 31, it's not eligible for the Extras. If it's extended, then I would apply, depending on how long they extend the benefit. Like everyone says, no one really knows what's going to happen after March 31, so just keep an eye/ear out after March.
  14. Just a FYI.. Deep Blue Extras are only applied to sailing by March 31, 2023. I have a cruise booked in Aug 2023, but was not given the Deep Blue extras, I was just upgraded to Sea Rover, as I am platinum on Carnival. I'm hoping they extend the Deep Blue Extras, beyond March, but we shall see, as Virgin is set to announce their new loyalty program soon.
  15. So if you go on the Carnival website, they have a cool feature under Ships, where you can compare all the ships in the fleet to each other...Vista and Pano are sisters...so there are very few differences, between the 2. hope that helps...
  16. Hello, I had a cabin with 3 on Mardi Gras, we were in a forward facing balcony cabin. The room steward was able to split the beds to make 2 twins, and there is a sofa that converts to a bed. I slept on the sofa bed, it was comfortable to me, but i know everyone's tolerances are different. I don't have a clear pic of the layout....but it wasn't a huge amount of room, but we made it work.
  17. I have to agree with my fellow posters... Do not give up on any activity just because it's sold out on the app. We just cruised the Wish in December and the mixology class was sold out for weeks in advance online. Once onboard, we actually ran into the bartender who runs the class, and he added the 3 of us into a class. He said it always sells out weeks/months in advance, but he was happy that we asked him, he said lots of people just accept its sold out, and never ask. Never hurts to ask at the appropriate desk and be FRIENDLY to the cast members who are working these activities, and constantly check back and get to know them and they recognize you. Small stuff like this goes along ways!
  18. I would agree with jalves, that if you use a TA or other cruise booking agency, you may get some sort of OBC. I always book through my TA and he always throws in some sort of OBC in addition to what ever the specials/perks the cruise line is offering(if any) Never going to turn down OBC:)
  19. Can we get a breakdown of the “huge problems” that everyone experiences? I am just curious as to what they are. Bacon? 2x vs 1x daily room cleaning? Too strong drinks? Really? Fries? Crew is miserable? VS Crew is happy? Good Food? vs Crap food? Why the guest services line is always a mile long? What are people's issues? Are they self created?
  20. These days, you would think people would want more of a secure way to send items...but I get that fact that there are those who still have no email and not interested in getting an email, or have anything to do with the internet at all.....so Faxes still have a place at the table... Thanks for the info....made me think twice for sure...
  21. I guess so!....hard to believe.....if it ain't broke, don't fix it hahaah.. Thanks for the feedback....
  22. Fax? Carnival really needs to update this, who uses fax's anymore that is not the government or insurance companies..?. Maybe I am wrong and will probably get 100 responses of " oh i still use fax's for blah and blah and blah blah lol..
  23. Thanks for the comment professor, I'll do better on my next draft. 😂
  24. Maybe you should re ready what I said more clearly. You can interrupt my review anyway you like, positive or negative. You used the word dumb, not me...so let's not get into an argument with this. I don't have the time for people who are looking to pick a fight if that is your intention or not. You can say whatever you want. I clearly say this is MY review, whomever posted the video is their review and I did say many of the opinions they stated I agreed with. So, yea think about what you say and write next time.
