  1. I love looking at old car advertisements. When things like "Power Steering" and "Power Brakes" were big options back then. I wonder how many younger drivers today even know what that means? And "Factory Air"? I guess air conditioning was an dealer-installed or aftermarket add-on back then?
  2. My 2 Christmas trees are still up. Might come down this weekend. But I did take down the outside Christmas lights. A few neighbors still have them up.
  3. Sounds like the creation of a new level to hate, er, I mean strive for: Pinnacle+
  4. They hate us cause they ain't us. 🤣🤣🤣 And by us, I mean them because I'm not a us, I'm still on of those.😉 Following? Cause I just confused myself.
  5. I visited there about 30 years ago, during a 4 or 5 day meandering drive down the Pacific Coast Highway from San Fran to LA. Definitely a beautiful and picturesque area. Glad to see the Mystery Spot is still there. I love those old road side attractions that seem to be slowly falling by the wayside in today's tech-driven world.
  6. Apparently 45-50K out of tires is about their life expectancy no matter the tread life warranty. Let me know what you find out as I'll be in the market for tires next month when my car is up for inspection as it might not pass. And like you, I keep looking at the snow forecast and hoping for dry weather or just plain rain. I did some brief research yesterday on TireRack. The Michelin CrossClimate look interesting. Usually tires with uni-directional treads are only seen on high performance sports cars. Not sure I've ever seen an SUV with them.
  7. If you really want to fall deep into a rabbit hole, tear your hair out and over-analyze everything, head over to TireRack dot com & read some of the professional and user reviews. You'll learn more about tire technology, different rubber compounds and tread patterns that you'll ever care to know. As I have the "twin" cousin of your Highlander, I replaced the Goodyear tires (don't remember which model) that it came with after only 29,000 miles. My mechanic recommended Cooper Discover SRX tires for a couple of reasons: price, made in USA by and American company and it's just as good as Continental, Michelin, etc. Now, I've owned others cars that had Continental & Michelin tires and I wouldn't say Cooper is "just as good", but for the price, it's pretty close to sway me. It does most things well. Quiet, comfortable, good rain/snow traction. The only real complaint is that despite the 65,000 tread life warranty, they are looking pretty worn at 45,000 miles and hopefully I can get another 5K miles out of them before my next inspection. Also, they make a lot more tire noise as they've worn down but I think that's true for most tires. Micheline is still the "gold standard" for me but it does come with a hefty price (generally speaking). TireRack gives the Coopers a 8.4 out of 10 rating while the Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive is 8.8 out of 10. It gives a full breakdown of the ratings. BTW, TireRack is still showing Micheline Latitude Tour HP (7.5 out of 10) as still available.
  8. Just to go even more off topic, did anyone else notice all the ship images are Oasis? Even the Grandeur. I'm waiting for the first post complaining of "deceptive" RCI marketing when they realize there is no Aqua theater on most of those ships. 😅😅
  9. I think a dozen simultaneous "Live" reviews threads of the same cruise might be fun. Let's us see it thru different eyes as everyone would have their own take on thing. Of course, trying to keep track of which thread you are on might be a challenge. It could take over the entire first page of the Royal boards.😄
  10. Same with me but we are on older phones. Mine is the Galaxy S10e. I think the problem affects the newer Galaxy S20 and up.
  11. The Samsung Internet Browser & CC don't play nice with each other. The Muti-quote feature & maybe the space bar and other keyboard typing thing-a-mo-gigs don't work as expected. Changing the keyboard corrects those issues. At least, that was my technical understanding.
  12. I'll take "Things that don't belong in a beach house rental property for $500" please, Mayhim? (Current host of Jeopardy, I think)
  13. I'll have to introduce Leonard to Olivia Benson and see if they can become friends. Maybe arrange a marriage between them? 😄 Maybe @Ocean Boy can help facilitate? 😉
  14. Same here. In fact, there are still a few presents (unwrapped of course) still under the tree. Like you mentioned in an earlier post, the house seems cold and empty once the Christmas decorations are put away. Outside lights will come down this weekend. It's been a damp and dreary week here so the yard is sopping wet. A few dry, sunny days are needed first. Plus, I have a certain, twisted pride in being one of the last ones to take down the outside lights. Just ignore the fact I'm also one of the last to put them up.
