  1. And the same goes for US into Canada. I saw recently that major league baseball teams going to Toronto are flying into Buffalo and then taking buses to Toronto rather than flying to avoid the testing.
  2. It does sound surprising. Maybe your explanation is correct. Or just maybe that TA does not explain how much one is charged for the "free" drink package.
  3. The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen, it was not worth the effort to see it. I should have believed Rick Steves who called it the most overrated attraction in the world.
  4. Not the same thing, IMHO. On the cruise you will be together with these people for 3- who knows how many days on say a World cruise. You are not just passing through like in Disney World. But, we are all different. Some will want to meet others, and some will just want to be with those they already know. Neither is wrong, just personal preference.
  5. Let me try to tackle that question, and I realize people will have different feelings about it. A cruise is different from eating in a restaurant. You will meet people from around the world. You also have something in common as you have just been to the same port and can discuss it. Also, maybe you or the others at your table know something that can be shared at an upcoming port. Now there are times one likes to have some alone time with spouse and/or family, but there are other times it is fun to share and learn. And I can see @cruisemom42's point that as a solo traveler, it would be very lonely to have every dinner without company.
  6. I would change "do not seem to be really interested" to "really do not want to know".
  7. They are sailing all the ships now, and we were told so IN CAPITAL LETTERS. And they are having staffing problems which lead to other problems. That cannot be denied. There was a rush to sailing all the ships and at full or near full capacity when they were not ready to do that adequately.
  8. Yes, they rushed to get all their ships sailing before they had enough crew to pull that off in any acceptable manner.
  9. Really, do you understand what the term quarantine means? Of course you cannot get off at the next port.
  10. At least they are trying to make things better. Hopefully all will go well after the horrendous start to the cruise.
  11. @chengkp75, I think this is the thread you are looking for: (Google is your friend when looking for something.)
  12. Absolutely. And the chances are paying by credit card that that day or two or even week won't matter as to when the payment becomes due. Unless you are right at the border of one pay period and another it will not matter at all.
  13. I think most if not all TAs do the same thing leaving a window where you can be late according to the date told to you by the TA but not late according to the cruise line.
  14. Those of us booked for 2023 on the Prima also cannot wait for some of you to finally sail on her and report back.
  15. The credit card company will however ask not only for proof, but also what you did to try to settle it with the cruise line. So be sure you are prepaared and able to document all your interactions with them.
  16. I was wondering more if you felt the need to get medical attention when you got back to the ship. That of course was before I read how you lucked out that there were qualified medical persons on the excursion who helped out. Great to hear that in these days when you hear stories of medical people afraid to volunteer due to malpractice concerns and insurance concerns. Also thanks for the great Lamanai pictures. They bring back great memories.
  17. Tsk. Tsk. You brought your scissors on getting past security. YOU BROKE THE RULES. Aren't you the one always lecturing on following the rules to a tee?
  18. Happened to me once, too. I think I used the word m o d e r a t o r. At least that is what I think triggered it.
  19. Glad to hear you are doing fine Did you have to visit the medical people when you got back to the ship?
  20. Plus, posters have been writing about long, long wait times when calling the cruise lines. I either get my TA on the phone or he calls me right back if he is busy with another customer.
