  1. Just fold over the single ply, and it becomes double ply.
  2. We had a one day deviation coming into Heathrow, and they were not removed. I checked because I did not want them removed. We booked an excursion to the airport in Reykjavik, and I had to ask for them to be removed even though they now knew we were going to the airport through them in a different way. I forgot what the transfers were called on the invoice we received from our TA, but I do remember it was not transfers. Maybe someone else remembers the term they used.
  3. One thing to know, though it might not be applicable in your case, is that if you take a deviation (they allow 1 or 2 days on each end), they will only transfer you from the airport. So, for our cruise that was from Southampton, we had to be transferred from Heathrow, not the city of London. (Since we did not want to drag our luggage to London, we were doing a hotel by the airport anyway, but it is something people should know.) Not sure, but I do think if you book a hotel through them, then they will transfer you from the actual city.
  4. Definitely call. We were on the Prima earlier this month and also had the BOGO transfers automatically added. Our flight back was not until 5 PM (actually with delays ended up more like 7 PM). DW said we are not sitting in the airport terminal that long, and went and bought an excursion to the airport with a stop. We asked and were told that if we bought the excursion, the BOGO transfers would automatically come off. But when I checked out account on the tv, they had not come off. I went to guest services and they asked if we wanted them off as if we somehow might want to pay for both an excursion to the airport and the regular transfer to the airport.
  5. He is very helpful in general, though he could not believe it when I posted I received my Travel Guard insurance premium back in 2020 when we cancelled a Princess cruise before they did as we saw that Covid would force it to be cancelled and did not want to wait for final payment. The same thought process that went into NY State not allowing CFAR insurance also made the insurance company return the premium as there was no risk involved. I asked him if any other states did the same thing, and he replied first that he would try to find out. And then later said he was not really getting responses form state insurance commissioners in other states. Our TA, who was the one who told us with our refundable deposit we would also as NY state residents be able to get out insurance premium back if we cancelled, did know the answer. No other state (at least at that time) had that rule of the insurance premium being refundable.
  6. Did you ask in the insurance forum? Steve from Insuremytrip is usually pretty knowledgeable.
  7. I don't remember which night, but they did it twice. I think it was on consecutive nights.
  8. I truly hope you have a much better wait at the gate than we did leaving Reykjavik on Iceland Air. First our plane was delayed. Then the wait at the gate was extremely long and made for more delay. And then when we got through the gate, you had to take a shuttle (that we had to wait for) to the plane. And for those with priority boarding, they first took a woman in a wheelchair. But when we got to where you waited for the shuttle, she was in her wheelchair off in a corner, not on the plane.
  9. One other thing to know when you are picking up something to eat at the terminal at Reykjavik is they will want to scan your boarding pass as well as your credit card when you pay. (I believe the reason is so they will not have to charge you the VAT tax. I did not expect that, and had to fumble for it. I then went to put away my credit card and realized I did not have my wallet. Luckily, it was immediate and I saw it sitting on the counter where I had just paid. (Otherwise the cough drops that my wife needed would have been the most expensive cough drops ever.) (Later, buying food I was prepared with the cc and the boarding pass.)
  10. They were selling food on the plane. I agree they were anything but great.
  11. That sounds like you cannot go there if you do not have a cruise booked. How would one go about posting a review after getting home and no future cruise booked at that time? Maybe that's why there always seem to be 0 reviews. I know for our Prima cruise between London and Reykjavik, I only found 0 reviews of excursions.
  12. I remember a few songs, Drift Away by Dobie Gray (I think that was my favorite of what they played), Takin' It to the Streets by the Doobie Brothers (they played this at 2 different shows), and Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears. If I thought hard enough, I might be able to come up with with more, but those 3 came to me off the top of my head.
  13. Just in case you have never flown on Iceland Air, be aware that they do not serve a meal even on transatlantic flights. They do serve beverages and there is food for sale. We were aware of this because we had previously flown with them on a land trip to Iceland. So, when NCL booked us going home on Iceland Air, we bought food at the airport and brought it on the plane with us.
  14. Isafjordur has been removed from every itinerary so far. It would be a huge surprise if they ever went there.
  15. Be aware that Rome, Paris, Florence, Athens, and Berlin might be listed, but they are not really ports. All of them will take traveling to get to from where the ship docks.
  16. IIRC, ours was $16 a day because we booked before the increase and chose to pay in advance. Of course, for future cruises it would be the $20.
  17. We did the cruise in the opposite direction that you did. We had good weather except our pre-cruise day in London when it poured and our disembarkation day in Reykjavik when it rained.
  18. When you say "booked thru NCL", I assume you mean an NCL excursion, correct?
  19. With it being on different ships, at least it should be different Captains. 🤣
  20. Missing Isafjordur in Iceland was a bummer, but it was wholly expected as we could all see every cruise before ours also missed this port. And it seems the cruises after ours are also missing it. Missing Bergen really hurt. I had noted that we were there on a Monday, and knowing that museums in Europe often closed on Mondays, I googled and was happy to find almost all would be open. DW is a retired art teacher, so visiting art museums is important to us. I also found that there was a museum dedicated to French fries, and that intrigued me. I had a Fodor's Belgium book out from the library, and with my list of open museums and that book, DW had plotted what we would like to see. And then I got that cancellation e-mail and had to break the news to her. 😢
  21. @PhillyTravelBug, how was the weather when you entered Geiranger? I ask because DW who did our photography commented to me yesterday after checking the pictures in her camera, that it was very cloudy for us. She wished she could have had less clouds for more spectacular pictures. I asked, and she did say the pictures were better from the funicular in Bergen. (I probably should add that since she taught art for about 40 years before retiring, she can be very critical of her pictures.)
  22. Thanks. I did figure if the Rumors show was a regular part of the act, that would of course remain the same. But, I did wonder about the other shows, or even if Rumors was always a scheduled show. I wonder if they always tell the same goofy prom stories.
  23. We really enjoyed the band at Syd Norman's Pour House on our recent Prima cruise. I see they have Syd Norman's on a few more NCL ships. My question is is there a play list that all the bands that play Syd Norman's use or does each group decide what songs they play? Or maybe is it some combination which includes some songs but gives them the freedom to choose others?
