    Cruise documents become available 30-45 days before most cruises. Occasionally documents become available a little closer to some cruises but we have only had this happen once in 16 cruises.

    Port agent has nothing to do with this. It's strictly a cruise line decision.

    16 year olds are allowed in the solarium. as for the others, why didn't you speak up? we had this problem on Explorer back in May. Stopped by Guest services and the problem was fixed.

    There is a direct train from Bologna airport to Bologna central station. The commuter trains mentioned by Milhouse can be found on the Trenitalia website.

    It's exactly this kind of abuse of privileges that will eventually cause the loss of the Diamond lounge.

    First, there is no such thing as a Diamond Plus lounge. There is a Diamond Lounge that is for Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle members. Your friend or Goddaughter would not be allowed in unless they are at least Diamond level in the Crown & Anchor program.

    Just off Explorer last Sunday (4 June) Chair hogs were everywhere, including in the Promenade where one woman was blocking 10 chairs at two tables until a crew member finally told her to stop.

    Can't comment about the Middle East and Africa, in Europe the vast majority of hotels do not do this. Many will require a copy of your passport but in our experience none have ever held it for the duration of our stay.

    Maybe on strike, The news services are reporting that the strike may be called off so as to not make things worse for people in the flooded area, the airline workers strike that was scheduled for the 19th was called off for the same reason.

    According to Italian news services and friends living in Ravenna the train station is scheduled to open later today.

    same here, :)) We're watching things closely, communicating with friends who live in Ravenna and following the Italian news services. If we hear any updates we'll post the info here.

    The itinerary update for Explorer is gone from the RCL website and trains are running from Ravenna station beginning this evening, (23 May) Best guess is it will be Ravenna.

    Just talked to our B&B in Ravenna, they said exactly the same thing about the roads and the train station. Fingers crossed!

    Check in is at Venice, Trieste has no passenger terminal.

    RCL doesn't re-supply at Ravenna, Athens (Piraeus) is the supply point.

    Latest info from friends in Ravenna as of 11:00am today. The line between Bologna and Ravenna is scheduled to re-open Monday at 6pm

    Nope, red vests saying "service dog" are available from several sources online. Anybody can buy one no questions asked. We've seen little "FiFi" wearing a service dog vest several time before ESA's were finally banned.
