You can, but if you had a non-refundable deposit you may lose $100 per person for changing the ship and/or sail date.

We just found out that Celebrity will not honor our rate for the new room. I’m vastly disappointed in this. ...
I’m not asking for much to make me happy. I want my current rate for the type of cabin I was promised. It’s going from a Concierge class to Sunset Veranda! ...
So you are looking to upgrade to a Sunset Veranda at no charge? That is not likely in the cards. Best just to cancel. I will suggest that your TA has some responsibility in this as well. It is their responsibility to confirm that you are getting what you ordered. They all have the ability to look at the deck plans to see what each cabin has.

They have had a "sale", and now it is time to try and sell at a higher price. This will continue until about 4 months to sail date, and then depending on how sales have been, prices will be adjusted accordingly. That has been my observation over the years.

All our L & S were to the same ( or almost same) itinerary 12 months (+/- 4 weeks) and we had our price protected. Are you not being offered the same sailing next year?
The cancellation that are currently given the option of a L&S do not have the same guidelines of the previous offers. Celebrity only has certain itineraries available for this option.

I think the reference is to deck 5. I recall there being a few outside of Cafe Albacio and Sushi on 5.

If memory serves me correctly, the only place that cigars are allowed is on the port side aft next to the sunset bar.

Looking at the deckplan. it would appear to be the adjacent stateroom (9239) extending beyond yours, slightly obstructing your forward view.

The short answer here is you will not be boarding.

I'm booking the Celebrity Millenium. I can't tell from the website which side of the room the bed is on. We like to have the bed closest to the veranda. Is there a way to know before I book?
Thanks in advance!

What @jelayne said. All beds are by the bath.

I will be traveling solo on Equinox. I want to dine alone (just me and a good book), not be seated with random people I don't know. I plan to check out the specialty dining as well as the main DR. Should I expect any problems in any of the venues when I ask for a table by myself?
Also, I find that solo diners in restaurants sometimes get poorer service. Should I expect any problems like that? Thanks!
I have done it solo half a dozen times, pre-covid though. I dined alone for all. Never a problem in the MDR, even at full capacity on the ships. Service was better in my opinion. The really nice part is dining at your own pace, and not that of 7 other people. I do not have any experience with the specialty dining though.

Off the Edge recently and I realised that the ship is missing quite a few venues that are on other X ships, despite being approximately the same size as the S-class. Is this indicative of how much space has been eaten up by shifting towards the higher-paying suite classes? Given the cost of suites, I get that it's a huge profit center for Celebrity and there is a natural desire/fiscal responsibility to maximise that revenue stream. If not for suite space, where did it all go?
Figures are approximate, of course, and I'm taking some liberties with venue names to try and match them up functionally (i.e. one could argue that the E-class martini bar is really martinis being served at the Passport bar). Also looking only a non-exclusive venues (thus no Retreat, Luminae, Blu, etc...). And I know that not all S-class ships have Quasar. And yes, Edge gains the Magic Carpet, but that's next to the ship for all intents and purposes.
Well, Eden takes a good chunk of space.

What would you guys do? The hubs only needs the window open for vaping so I want to be sure I give him an area for that. Right now we are in a sky suite but the price is really bugging me.
FYI, vaping falls into the same category as smoking. It is not allowed except in designated smoking areas.

Yes it is correct. A solo receives the full cabin amount in any category booked.

Sorry for the change in your itinerary, but sometimes I just shake my head at some of the expectations of passengers. Really? More credits or freebies? These are cruises, being taken in uncertain times, and there is no guarantee of anything. Just have to roll with the punches. I'm sure the celebration can be done elsewhere.

Unfortunately, there has to be at least one cabin in your category open to price match.
I must have been lucky then. There were no verandas available when I called about mine but they still reduced it at the time (last Dec). Never hurts to check.

Not yet. As the newest ship before the Edge class, she was originally scheduled for her makeover for 2023. Covid could well have changed the plans to a later date.

For peace of mind, it's a good thing every passenger is tested negative before boarding the ship.
It is just a pain in the *ss when you need to do a test to fly in, and then another one to get on the ship. I suppose we could cancel our pre-cruise stay, but...
-
That's certainly going to help. Now if only we didn't need to do it before boarding the ship.

You can pick your time slot for arrival once it opens up. Early times go fast!

I guess since I haven't cruised since the pandemic start, this didn't cross my mind. I'm still in the "get there when you get there and get on board" mentality. May have to think about that for the next one.

I don't want to stir up anything, but am truly curious as to why so many people seem to be concerned about when check-in opens for their sailing. There have been numerous threads with the same check-in date question. Is it because it used to be 90 days? Is it just habit? You can check in up to almost the sail date, so am I missing something?

The new sale dropped my fare for my Holiday Panama cruise by two dollars, but gave me an additional $100 OBC and the upgrade to premium beverage package.

Today Canada announced their guidelines for cruising. As I suspected having a negative Covid test is required. Now I am trying to figure out how to get one in Vancouver. Seeing very high prices for them. I can get one in Florida for free to fly to Vancouver but will need to test again before getting in the ship as I have two days in Vancouver before the cruise. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
What do you consider very high. Testing is available at YVR from $79.
