Thank you - but to be honest, that’s where my confusion started, as it’s not listed as a benefit here?

It is listed on the sheet as starting with Elite level. The list for E+ does not repeat the benefits listed earlier.

We are about to book the Eclipse for June 2023.  We can book an A2 on Deck 11 for around $180 pp more than a slant hump stateroom on Deck 9, which happens to be Concierge.

Yes, I think we’d like to try Blu, yes we’d enjoy access to the Persian Gardens but I’m worried that the overhang is somehow going to interfere with the view 🤔

Am I overthinking this? Would anyone who has sailed in an Aquaclass stateroom in Alaska offer me their thoughts please?

    Thanks in advance!

This is deck 11 on the Solstice, Aqua cabin, looking forward and aft.Not much in the way of any obstructions. Eclipse should be the same. My choice would be to stay in the slant.

The main Find a Cruise page has a big countdown banner saying the 30% off both pax plus extra OBS sale ends at midnight EDT. Anyone know what the next fake bargains will be?

    Probably 60% off second passenger...

The website problems have been complained about since I first got on cc over fourteen years ago. To fix it probably would cost a lot of money, what’s their incentive? There is none until it does, until then live with it.

True, but it seems as though with every update of the website they seem to be regressing instead of advancing. It just requires a little more foresight on their part. The cumulative screwups make it hard to fix without starting from scratch.

I’ve seen a number of posts today about long wait times, inability to talk to reps and repeatedly being transferred in order to eventually talk to a rep who can assist.   Looking back at my last few calls to Celebrity (some of which went unanswered) I feel that most of my calls could have been handled via the website if Celebrity would allow it (make the transaction possible) on their website.

    Examples are:

    - Upgrading drink package from classic to premium.  In order to receive my upgrade discount I need to call.  On my last cruise I was never able to reach anyone and eventually upgraded onboard without receiving a discount.
    - Receiving the Captain’s Club one category upgrade.  Unfortunately I can book a cruise on their website but in order to receive the upgrade I have to call.
    - Changing cabin.   It would be nice if the website would allow you to switch cabins (within the same category) on an existing booking.  Currently you have to call.

I’m sure there are many more possibilities.  It would free up reps for transactions/questions that can’t be handled online.

As I often say….”Thank god their cruise experience if better then their online experience”.

Please don't try to inject logic into this🤣

There never was a point to being loyal to one brand. You one branders have been taken in by marketing. As for the all included that is marketing too. You pay for it.

You attributed that quote to me, but it was the OPs. That said, I for one, am not a "one brander", but ended up mostly one brand because of the product, marketing be damned.

We were Elite on our last Celebrity cruise pre-COVID. Just booked the Equinox for Ultimate Southern in January 2023, and it appears that the perks are far less than what I recall. Is it only RCCL that switched to three daily drink vouchers for Diamond? I thought Internet minutes were offered rather than just discounts, too. We didn’t upgrade to the all inclusive package since we’re Elite and I was excited to benefit from the perks… now I’m questioning the idea. Is there a point to being loyal to one brand when most things are included nowadays? Thanks for your advice!

You still have the 90 free internet minutes as well as unlimited drinks from the special CC menu 5-7 every day. These are available all around the ship.

Look here to see all the perks.

Upcoming cruise to Iceland/Greenland will be our first on Summit. I would like to be able to get in a decent walk on the sea days, as there are many of them. Looking at the deck plans, I can't see a walking track or any area that would meet that need. Can anyone recommend a place where I could make a few rounds of the ship?

You can also walk on deck4 - along the port side, cross the ship in front of the theatre entrance, then back along the starboard side to the back and across in front of the dining room, rinse & repeat.

Well be staying in room 6151veranda on the Solstice next month. How do I find out if the configuration is the one with the bed by the entrance door or by the balcony. Sounds petty but we'd much prefer the bed by the door and sofa seating area by the balcony. When the bed is there it totally ruins the balcony area. Strangely I think all of our 8 or 10 celebrity cruises over 20 years have been configured our preferred way. Asking bc the picture online shows it the "other" way. I did check the S class spreadsheet and didn't see our room listed.

That cabin has a sofa bed according to the legend, so it will be bed by bath.
