Can I book a refundable fare(say a year ahead) and later change to a non-refundable when my plans firmup(prior to final pay)?

How does having cruise line insurance affect this?

With all the different fares-hard to know what to do?

    Thanks,in advance!

Short answer is yes you can. Your deposit will be refunded. You will lose any offers you have and your new booking will reflect the current offers at time of booking. I can't speak to the insurance question.

I was researching cabins and read about the 'X' on the balcony? Is it a reflection or something? Not sure what this means.

    ...

If you look at the pic, you will see the "X" spanning the balconies. As I understand it, this can affect the view through the glass on various balconies.

All I will need WiFi for would be to check my email. What is the cost aboard Equinox for just basic WiFi? What does it cost to use the Macs in the iLounge to check email?

    Thank you!

Last I was on board, the use of computers in the lounge was free, but you had to have an internet package of course.

Hi! You are correct BEVCL = classic beverage package. IN= internet and GRAT= gratuities. I’m guessing the number 7 may represent 7 day sailing, but that’s just a guess.

I’m not sure what YVJ8  means but probably others will be able to help decipher.

So you will have some nice perks to enhance your cruise. 😀🛳 Enjoy!

    Classic beverage package including gratuities.

The IN means including. Internet is listed on a separate line as shown from my sailing. Yes, the 7 is the number of nights.

    So guest 1 pays 100%, guest 2 pays 25%, guest 3 pays 100% and guest 4 pays 25%.

Would this not work out the same as getting 2 rooms with only 2 people in each room?

Why would 4 people want to be in the same room if there is no monetary benefit?

    Am I missing something here?

Guests 3 and 4 do not pay the same rate as 1 and 2.

The standard advice, prior to 2022, has been that one should fly in the day before a cruise and stay overnight in a hotel. With the travel craziness of 2022, there is a train of thought to stretch that out to 2 days before, especially if international or connecting flights are involved.

This extra day local allows for the possibility of testing, if required.

P.S. Some folks have taken to cruising with carry-on luggage only, to obviate the need for airport luggage check and possible loss. This is new and gaining acceptance. It is a huge compromise but might be worth it. In general, those carryon folks completely give up on the concept of more formal attire of any sort for dinners.

The question was not for getting to the cruise, it was for a flight back home.

As to the original question, unless I had a horseshoe in my backside, I would stay the extra night close to the airport. That is just too tight considering you really don't know when you will be off the ship.

    Hi All -

Asking a question for a friend that booked a cruise a few months back.
I am sure this was discussed in another posting but I cannot locate to review.

Booked the Elevate option and was looking at her invoice.   She needs help with the listing that is on her invoice:

    TC57 - SURFCHG
    TC08 - BEVPRINGRAT

Is this the faster Internet and the Premium Beverage Package including gratuities?

    Thanks in advance.
    Have a good day!

Just got back today off the Summit and had a great cruise. My only complaint was the lack of non alcoholic drinks. They ran out of ice tea after 2 days, most of the time you had to try several places for a diet soda. I have been on several cruises and never had these problems before. Is this a Celebrity thing or a post Covid thing?

Definitely not a Celebrity thing. Usually they are well stocked.

For bags I plan to carry on?

printed one for my suitcase.  Now just looking at my backpack…

    cheers!

It's not required, personally, I always do. As much as I think I will never leave something sitting behind, I prefer the peace of mind knowing my bag should find its way back to me should I do so. Cheap insurance.
