  1. That's not a real Ship sign and sail card. It's a custom made tag for the duck.
  2. Correct, there's no casino offer better than Elite. https://www.carnival.com/casino/carnival-players-club
  3. That's ridiculous and I would have called them out on it.
  4. Ok I thought you were referring to the main lido Deck pool. I've been to the thermal suite on both the MardiGras and Celebration numerous times.
  5. Depends on the ship. On the Excel class the thermal suite is nowhere near the pool. It's on Deck 5 and the Lido Deck is 16.
  6. TBH that's a no brainer upgrade even if you only use the thermal suite for one day.
  7. That seems to be a recent change regarding choosing between a pre-selected choice of ship excursions or $300/cabin spa credit across the fleet. As recently as last November I was on an Elite cruise on the 1st US cruise on the Celebration and was able to choose a spa credit instead of an excursion.
  8. It has a small jetted hot tub,not a proper thalassotherapy pool.
  9. A thermal suite is a room where all the spa facilities such as a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, communal showers, heated tile loungers, a cold room, a salt inhalation room, etc are located.
  10. Same here. Although we give away lots of wine and generally only carry home 2 bottles max each in our check luggage. I bring these inflatable bubble bottle sleeves I bought from Amazon. They are great. 11. On an Elite Casino Cruise one of the benefits is a mini bar setup that is complementary.
  12. @Saint Greg Would you be able to take some photos of the Fitness Center? And I know there isn't a Thermal Suite on this ship but could you also check out the fitness Center/Spa locker room and see if there's at least a free sauna ? Much appreciated!
  13. Correct, those specific toiletries are provided in ALL cabin classes on all Celebrity ships. The brand of toiletries will differ according to cabin class.
  14. Thank you! There's a few more surprises post cruise. Post cruise we're spending two nights in brisbane, which will be new for us (We've been to the other major East Coast Australian cities). Then we will fly to Taipei, Taiwan, another first for us, and spend four nights there. Then back home to the States.
  15. We are sailing on a casino comp, so we have a spa balcony, cheers for 2, and $1,000 Freeplay in the casino. We only had to pay port fees and taxes which was $551.04 for the cabin. We also paid an additional $200/cabin but that's rebated back as OBC.
  16. So you turned Diamond on this cruise? Coincidentally my husband and I turned Diamond on our Pride cruises last year but never received the welcome letter. We want to save both of our free dinners for our TP on the Luminosa in September. So it seems like you had to speak to guest relations to get this sorted out?
  17. Germany used to be famous for pour lines. It was the law that all public restaurants and bars must have glassware of all types with lines indicating where the amount of the beverage, whatever it is should be.
  18. 3-4 weeks before embarkation.
  19. I think the issue is no space for a taxi queue right at the Cruise terminal so no pickups but drop-offs are permitted because the cab is basically coming in, dropping off then leaving immediately.
  20. We stopped for coffee and pastries at another place around the comer from your cafe. For those following your trip report, another pastry shop and cafe is Confeitaria do Bolhao, purported to be the oldest pastry shop/cafe in Porto. It was amazing! https://goo.gl/maps/nUjjEGD2fvTz76Sb8
  21. Given the magic isn't a new ship the railing whether lower than others, is to CODE. There's something called personal responsibility. Someone can take a steak knife and hurt themselves and others. Everything one comes in contact with can be harmful or deadly if not used properly for it's intended purpose.
  22. No, absolutely not. I would say that would be across all cruise lines. FIRE HAZZARD
