  1. I have a feeling everyone will have access to the space, the food may not be included though. There's probably some more speculation about everything in the thread about that ship. EVERYTHING at this point is really speculation, I would think more solid info should be out soon and it for sure would be once the ship actually sails a revenue cruise.
  2. well, the Prima is about 8-12 months ahead of the Viva and has only been delayed a couple weeks. If Viva is due to debut between May and July I would say a cruise in October to December would be relatively safe. Of course, things could change between now and then and something could end up significantly delayed and cause a shift in the schedule.
  3. Yup, this is the response I got from AA when I had an 11 PM flight out of LAX. AA stood firm on keeping the flight as it was, and since there's a fee for making the change I'm sure NCL will just tell you it can't be done. AA allowed me to check the bag and I continued on with the planned rental car, saw some sights around the LA area and got back to the airport for dinner and the wait for the flight to board. This is the risk of allowing NCL to book the flights for you - you lose control over some of the controllable aspects of the flight (you can still pay to upgrade your seat and you can still pick your seat if the airline allows). These risks have been discussed on this forum at length. This is where being an informed consumer comes in - doing a little research in advance should have revealed these concerns. When I used the discounted flight offer from NCL in 2019 I knew exactly what I was in for, though I did still try to make the change to an earlier flight on the off-chance it was remotely possible.
  4. and as their most recent reply indicates, they have...
  5. The track has nothing to do with that. Bliss and Joy both still have Spice while also having the track. Encore removed Spice in favor of placing the laser tag there so the space occupied by laser tag on Bliss could be used for Vibe...
  6. Installation of those would require shipyard access with a crane. It may be PREP for it, if they need to be installed. BA and GA got them during COVID, they're exhaust scrubbers, not oil scrubbers, and I thought someone said the Epic might already have them.
  7. Unless the issue had not yet cropped up or the parts or people needed to complete the service were not available.
  8. @ziggyuk has some pictures of Prima to share, you can go see them in the Viva thread unless they decide to post them here...
  9. If only NCL wanted you to know. Directly from the Sail Safe FAQ... https://www.ncl.com/refund-and-cancellation-policy-covid-19
  10. AND - once you've dined together once the system will 'link' you guys and they'll then ask if the other room is present when one of the pairs arrives to sit for a meal.
  11. I wasn't trolling anyone here, just commenting on the multiple threads comment...
  12. See my post in this thread. Different ports, same question, same concern -
  13. Doesn't take much effort to scan the first 2 pages of threads to see if a possibly hot topic has been posted. Instead, everyone wants to feel like they got "the scoop" and just click the "new thread" button...
  14. Do you know of some activity they will always participate in? Maybe plan to be at that activity before they get there. OR! If you know they will eat in a certain dining venue for dinner on the first night, plan to be there before them, get the table and tell the host that they will be joining so they get brought to sit with you, if the cruise line allows that type of seating for dining.
  15. People have been doing their own at home for 8 months. The questions you raise are mitigated by the use of proctored tests where the person verifies ID and watches the test being performed.
  16. @ziggyuk nice pics, but those are Prima, there's another thread for that ship. You might consider posting them there, it's linked in a previous post on this page in this thread.
  17. Technically speaking, any of the Pacific Coastal cruises are going to be 'repositioning'. They're usually run between the Mexican Riviera and Alaska seasons, on both ends of the Alaska season. Usually the Panama Canal full transit cruises are going to be the same, unless there's a ship doing runs between the coasts all the time.
  18. Keep in mind that the lanyard would need to be the pouch type so you'd still be removing it from your carrying accessory. Finding the proper place to punch a hole in the NCL cards isn't easy as they seem to be thicker or more dense than the Royal RFID card I have (I can shine a flashlight through the Royal card to see where the chip and antenna wire are, can't do that with the NCL cards). If you damage the chip or wire it's game-over for the card and you need to get it replaced.
  19. You'll find discussion of that sailing in this previous thread -
  20. and the card often needs to be handed over for dining (specialty anyway) or drinks, even if it is of the RFID type for the room.
  21. I was on deck 14, at the aft end of a "bump out", last cabin before the angled balcony, 14252 for reference, I think it's the same as you're looking at but at the opposite end of that group of cabins. I think my aft view would be like your forward view. Here's a pic looking forward and another aft while standing on the balcony. Nothing really obstructed about it.
  22. The biggest question revolves around immigration agents being available on Saturday to properly process you into the country so you can then process out of the country at the airport.
