  1. The tour and bus operators have known about the pass restrictions all season. They gambled they would be able to get extra passes and oversold seats. Now they have to cancel out. Get ready for giant price increases in 2024 since there will be pass and seat limits enforced.
  2. The July 4 specials they are running have prices in the 64 to 67 range.
  3. Wait for the Black Friday deals which will start the Saturday before and run until the Monday after. There are big discounts on the private island prices for just about everything.
  4. The helicopter excursions involve all of 15 minutes up and 15 minutes back. I think you get about 30 minutes on the glacier to roam around and see some ice. A ton of money for so little time. I think the prices are 600 or more per person.
  5. You get to do a short dog sled on snow/ice. You do not land on the glacier but near it. Here is a better description. Your Skagway Helicopter and Dogsled Excursion is a two-hour excursion that will delight you from start to finish. Your excursion takes off right from the historic Skagway waterfront to begin your tour. From here, you will begin your 15 minutes of breathtaking helicopter time over the mountains of Skagway on your journey to Denver Glacier. Here, your Skagway dog sledding tour will begin. You will have 30 minutes to explore the dog sledding camp, interact with the dogs and mushers, and learn about this traditional Alaskan sport. Then, it’s your turn to experience the excitement of mushing! You will hear the energy and joy the dogs feel as they are selected to run, yipping and straining against their harnesses, and you will be given the option to assist the musher driving the sled or hand over the reins and enjoy the ride. There is truly nothing like a Skagway dog sled tour on snow! Your Skagway Helicopter and Dogsled Excursion ends with an equally beautiful 15 minutes of helicopter time back to Skagway as you stare down at Denver Glacier and the spectacular Lynn Canal.
  6. How much are the Tracy Arm tours for your cruise? The schedule looks great because those tours are usually 7- 8 hours. Lowest price and the only one I can get is 464 per person. I am not that desperate.
  7. Yes you do. Alaska prices have been going down. Rebooked twice and saved 400. As far as watching for price drops there is no easy way. A watch list just gets you advertised price without crown and anchor discount, senior, or residency unless that is in there somewhere.
  8. You will get wet if there is any rain. The wind swirls around too much and it is only about one third or so covered. The balcony is large enough but the glass and railing angle up from the edge so it is not nearly as large as the diagrams show. It is a long walk from this cabin to the elevators/stairs. It gets really hot if you are getting sunshine. A lot of metal to act as a heatsink. I had this cabin once but will pass on it from now on.
  9. Avoid 6300. The rest look ok as far as having the cranes that lower the lifeboats.
  10. Yes, they are generous with the sides and the portions are large.
  11. Internet package and the activities on coco cay and labadee are good deals for black friday.
  12. 937.55 economy. DELTA ATL-FCO 9-23 OUT FCO-ATL 10-2 RETURN
  13. Alaska prices have really dropped. I am seeing Insides for under 350 and I got a balcony on the Ovation for 750 which included 175 in OBC and a 200 flight credit. Carribean prices are still elevated. They will eventually drop once the post covid travel surge and trip credits are worked through. I am seeing large price drops in hotels, rental cars, and flights for most markets.
  14. Luggage to haul around is a killer. Last off is usually 9am but all that means is sitting around the ship somewhere with all your luggage. I would stall around the ship then get taxi/uber to the airport. It's about an hour so to the airport. Any chance you can be first off and get standby for an earlier flight?
  15. There is a tidal wave of people hitting the land of retirement, medicare and social security. Many of them have met there money saving goals and are in spend mode. It is use it or someone else will. As in a Will. The value of things starts to change as the clock gets closer to midnight.
  16. The coffee card is more about convenance than saving money. You don't have to wait for a paper receipt to sign. Just punch and go wait. You will save a little depending on which drinks and the size you get.
  17. The White House plans to end the COVID public health emergency on May 11. "As we approach the end of the public health emergency, the administration will review all relevant policies, including this one," the White House said. "This one" means the vax requirement for non residents to enter the US. It is likely the vax requirement will be dropped then. Hopefully.
  18. I am now seeing 441 for the balcony on that sailing.
  19. Don't call. Just relax and wait for the app to get updated. Give it a couple of weeks.
  20. 10am is easy to make from ship to airport at Fort Lauderdale . Relax.
  21. 10.00am is easy to make. I have done Fort Lauderdale to Miami by 10am. Of course, if the ship is late that changes. If you have an early flight take uber or a taxi. Self assist luggage also helps but you have time to do the pickup if you want. Nothing worse than having to wait on shuttles with an early flight.
  22. Prices are going to come down. You just have to wait it out. The surge in travel bookings after the mask mandate and other covid restrictions were removed has skewed the revenue management programs these companies use to forecast future demand. I have already rebooked an Alaska cruise this August twice when I saw price reductions. Inside cabins are now going for less than 300 for May sailings on some dates.. I rebooked a Vegas trip twice when hotel price dropped. I rebooked airfare to Orlando 3 times for an April cruise to catch price drops. Rental car prices are also falling. I suspect air and cruise travel credits that need to be used up played a role also.
  23. Nuggets Falls and time for a few pictures is doable but you will need to hustle on the hike. If you want to take in the museum and a more relaxed hike to the Falls then take the bus and just make a trip of it. I assume you are on an excursion that goes on to another stop somewhere. One of the bigger complaints of these types of excursions is the short time at Mendenhall.
  24. They only have one option for internet and it is the VOOM and STREAM. If you get the Deluxe Beverage Package and VOOM you each get a device. If you get it separate it is one device per cabin and all 3 of you can share it just not at the same time of course. You can add a 2nd or 3rd user for a reduced price.
