  1. Go to youtube and type in the excursion in the search.
  2. For 800 more get the junior suite. The long walk to the aft gets old. Really old.
  3. The best deal on the soda package is to not get it all. No one needs all that sugar.
  4. There is a tram that takes you to a couple of drop off points. It is a little past the entrance. Get a map and look up Nellies Beach. One of the better areas. You could walk also. Food is right near the entrance and past Nellies.
  5. What I am looking would be a US to Europe TA. If I want to fly home the same day do you see any issues with flights before noon? It is in spring 2024 so Maybe this will will not be in effect then.
  6. The flying part is not the issue. It is going to be getting on and off the ships. Plan on flying in a day earlier and probably flying home the day after the cruise ends. AMS to BCN might be a big issue unless in the evening. We will see.
  7. Very few people who get balconies make much use of them. This is easily verified by simply looking up at them when you are in port. Also, when you are sailing out look at the other ships. Less than 5 percent of them have anyone out. Most of the time, it is almost none. I see more towels and clothes hanging out on balconies than people most of the time. While some make good use of the balcony, it is only a tiny percentage who pay for them.
  8. Black Friday sales will start on the Saturday before so that will be Nov. 18 this year. It will not be too late for your cruise but be at your keyboard on the 18th. The best discounts have been the photo packages, private island excursions like zip lines and jet skis, and the internet package. Some decent discounts on shore excursions for other islands or ports but it is hit and miss. Minor discounts on the beverage packages and dining packages, maybe a few dollars below the best sales you see at major holiday sales. The beverage package discounts are limited so be at your keyboard at midnight. It is very unlikely you will see any cabin discounts and you are too close to sailing to change anyway.
  9. The best way to do specialty dining on Royal is to purchase lunches individually. Chops is usually 22-25 dollars per person. The Italian places are 19 to 22. Only Izumi is not discounted from the dinner price. They are not open on port days though. You can get the Chops filet in the Main Dining Room for 20. They will also include the vegetable offerings from Chops. You may be able to get other items from the Chops menu in the MDR but I have never tried.
  10. Pick a cruise and try pricing it out by booking the same cabin up to the point you have to purchase it and compare. You will probably see a slightly cheaper price with the diamond member.
  11. You are making it way to complicated. Just get uber or a port shuttle. Now, if you are going to use the car for other things that may be different.
  12. Yes. All you have to do is cancel it and then rebook.
  13. I think people with on board credits to use up from the covid days are driving the price increases for beverage packages, private island excursions, and the KEY. The KEY price above 25 dollars makes no sense.
  14. More than likely they will let you take the embarkation lunch on one of the sea days. You can ask when you get on the ship.
  15. The Tavern on deck 4 would be the most likely place.
  16. There are numerous glacier dog sledding camps. Different tours go to different camps. If you book thru Royal you go to Norris glacier. The Coastal Helicopter tour goes to Herbert glacier. Temsco goes to Mendenhall. They don't book for 2024 until next year., Not sure exactly when but if you call one of them they will give you a date. The Royal tour is 1000 per person. If you book direct about 650 per person. I would go to Trip Advisor and search reviews for the different tours. Also try Youtube for video reviews.
  17. Those tours are running 1000 per person this year and no discount for kids. But cheaper if you don't book thru the ship. It is a 15 minute ride up, about 1 hour at the camp and 15 minutes back in the helicopter. Coastal helicopters has it for 650 per person this year so a big savings if you book directly instead of thru the ship. I would call them to see when bookings will open for the 2024 season. It will probably be the same for other operators and even ship excursions.
  18. 1799 the week of December 8TH for over the water cabanas. Day beds are 329 Cocoa Beach Club 169 I always get of the ship right away and snorkel, then pool or free lounger then lunch and back on the ship so none of this works for me. I suspect people with left over credit from the covid days are driving prices. I was surprised to find out some would rather blow it on drink packages, cabanas, and overpriced excursions than put it toward another cruise. Oh well.
  19. Go to Youtube and search Wide Balcony Stateroom on the Quantum/Anthem of the Seas stateroom tour 7258. About a 3 minute video tour.
  20. They don't drop them for Black Friday any lower than what you find with the major holiday sales. Black Friday is good for internet, private island excursions, and photo packages.
  21. Do you realize that it is 29.99 per day? Maybe a 3 day it might be ok.
