  1. So with the exception of the last item, rudeness/not having manners. The stairs thing irks me too. You see coming, in my heels holding the handrail, but sure, I'll move over because you don't know left from right.
  2. Thank you! This is more helpful than anything I found on Google lol.
  3. I read the website. What I am asking is "what is considered priority" for specialty dining? You have to make reservations, and if a time slot isn't available, is there a wait-list option like there is for the MDR? All the time slots are still open for my sailing, so I'm not seeing the benefit in that part. Just wondering.
  4. Hi all! What benefit does FTTF give in regards to specialty dining? I know it supposedly can move you up on the waitlist for early/late MDR seating, and it's not available for anytime dining, but what about the specialty restaurants? I am sailing on Horizon in March, and I never had an interest in specialty dining before, but I plan to eat at Jiji's and Cucina at least once in the 8-nights. I know you are supposed to make a reservation, but if I don't do that, do they leave some tables open for "priority walk-ins" (Diamond/Platinum/FTTF)?
  5. I book with a 3rd party travel agency (NOT a Carnival PVP), and I am able to use Carnival gift cards for payments. I just have to call the TA and they have to apply them for me. Little annoying, but the savings is worth it, plus all the OBC I get for using a TA.
  6. It's available for my cruise in March as well. Nothing for May yet, however.
  7. Ship - Elation Deck - 5 Stateroom # - M45 Stateroom Category – interior, no port hole Starboard or Port Side - Starboard Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes! Very quiet and dark. Great for sleeping! Not much foot traffic in that area of ship. Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No Balcony View - N/A Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - N/A Was wind a problem? - No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a Any specific problems with this cabin? - None Any other comments? - Great location! Only 2 decks up to lobby bar - easily walkable up/down steps. 3 decks up to main dining and piano bar. Cabin has 2 twin beds/1 king and upper pullman. Plenty of room for me and my 2 daughters, but the wood supports that come down from the ceiling for the pullman bed waste some otherwise useable space.
  8. Confirmed, lol. And it makes me laugh when I see them cross body in pictures. It's still a fanny pack, and when they put them cross body trying to make it look cool - it's STILL a fanny pack lolol
  9. I didn't get an email 😞 Good thing I saw it on social media and had my TA confirm. Bought the package on Thursday.
  10. Junkanoo is the only one with facilities. It's an easy walk from the port, and you can rent chairs and an umbrella for around $40 from the local vendors. I had zero issues when I walked there with my young daughters. Margaritaville is right next door, and you can buy a day pass, but it gets expensive with 4 people. They have a small waterpark and lazy river that is available to use with the day pass, but I have never actually been.
  11. Does it have to be all coins? Can it be a US$1 bill and a US quarter?
  12. Is there a bus stop near the pier? I tried to look but couldn’t find it.
  13. I would love copes of the Fun Times - my email is dlphn501@tds dot net (Hopefully you catch that; wasn't sure if I wrote the whole thing out if it would be "flagged").
  14. I recently got an "upgrade" offer on Horizon, from inside cabin on Lido to a "balcony" on deck 2 for like $500 lol 🤣 No way man; I booked on lido for a reason, and I do not want a cove balcony under the galley.
  15. I inserted comments above - figured it would be easier for you to follow; wasn't try to lose you with the bold and purple font. I cruise on Elation in June too! When are they sailing?
  16. That would eliminate set time dining. I'm all for that because I always only do anytime dining, but just putting it out there that 100% is 100%.
  17. Same thing happened to me on Elation! We are sailing this June, and we have an interior fwd on Deck 5. I got FIVE upsell offers in a matter of a couple weeks. Two of them were for the same cabin. One was a sideways interior midship on 6 and another was an interior fwd on 12 (which Carnival considers a considerable "upgrade", but I do not). There were not a lot of "good" cabins available when I booked a few months ago, and I actually down graded my usual oceanview to an interior bc all the oceanview cabins were in undesirable areas. My Deck 5 fwd interior was about $50 more than the cheapest oceanview, so if I wanted the cabins they were offering me, I would have booked initially, lol.
  18. This!!! Exactly what I was going to say. The peanut butter is a game changer, and I know it sounds crazy, but it really makes all the difference in the world. However, I do still like it without pb, but the pb steps it up many notches!
  19. I believe v30 and v21 are only minimally obstructed if that's all that is left.
  20. They also sell them on the ship. I may buy one there depending on cost, just to try it out, but I prefer to support the local small businesses. I saw another rum cake shop in a YouTube video that was actually on the way to/from the beach.
  21. Thanks for this information. Now I know I will be able to carry on and off my personal-sized cooler that I usually just pack in my luggage. I didn't see any size restrictions on backpacks though. Thanks! I don't know why I didn't think to check this myself. And now I know that extension cords and outlet extenders are actually permitted, despite others having theirs confiscated.
  22. I do not need a bottle opener. I would like to bring a backpack cooler. This particular one has a bottle opener attached, and I wanted to know if it was allowed because of said bottle opener, or if it wouldn't matter.
  23. Are these backpacks allowed on Carnival ships? I thought I read somewhere that they will confiscate a bottle opener. 24. I will be in Nassau in June with 2 other ships in port. We are the first ones there at 8am, followed by noon and 1:30. I think it's safe to say the beach will not be that busy until after lunch?? I am looking for the easiest way to hit the rum cake factory and the beach. Right now I am thinking we can catch a cab from the beach when we are ready to leave and go to the rum cake factory. Can I get the driver to wait for us? Not sure if that's standard to ask. I know after being at the beach all morning and in the sun that I will be too tired to walk all that way and then back to the ship. I think we may be okay to walk from the Factory back to the pier if we can't get a taxi to wait for us. Any other ideas? It doesn't look like there's a bus that goes between those locations. Would the rum cakes get compromised if we went to the Factory first and then walked to the beach? I know they are sealed airtight, I've purchased before, but I wasn't sure with the heat.
